[APP] WiimoteController

Hey everyone, just finished installing the 2.2 froyo leak and was wondering if anybody had tested the wiimotecontroller application with it.
I know previously, the incredible couldn't use this program due to problems with bluetooth stack but I wasn't sure if this update would fix it. Going to test it later on but was wondering if anybody had already tested it.

Yeah unfortunately the application doesn't recognize the Bluetooth

Lets hope Cm6 works out all the bugs soon.

Well, supposedly any sense ui messes with the bluetooth. I saw a few people running CM5.0.4 on the incredible that were able to use the wiimotes.
Why in the world would sense ui affect bluetooth's ability and functionality?

Really? Oh well isn't CM 6 vanilla?

Man, this is a major bummer. I was really hoping it would work now. I like Sense a lot, and I use a lot of the Sense widgets, but I really want to use a wireless controller to play games on my phone. I guess I gotta use CM6, but I dunno if it's worth it. >:|

N64 Emulator just released!

Just read on Engadget that a Nintendo64 emulator has finally been released for Android!
Its called N64oid and is $5.99 on the market, but worth every penny. Still a little laggy with some games, but pretty good. Played Mario Kart64 with no issues, but will probably struggle with more CPU intensive games such as Goldeneye.

now if only we had a fix for the bluetooth to allow the use of a wireless controller, this would be perfect

I really believe in the developer especially having bought Snesoid from him and played it religiously like everyday! Games were really laggy at first but the first update made super mario 64 work SMOOTH

Its time like this that I wish I had the Motorola Zoom. This would be so awesome to play on that.

Get wiimote from the market, it allows you to use your wii remote as the controller i dont think it works with sense though

Mario 64 here i come..yes!!
Just tested it out...with mario kart 64 and super mario 64.
list of problems i have:
sound is very laggy(i figured this one)
Mario kart froze on me 3 times in a row before it fully worked(but then it ran pretty good)
Super Mario 64 sound was ok and ran right out the gate.
Great work for the first release!

You download the app via google/market, install, the you just search [insert N64 game] rom, then put the zip file on your sdcard, open the app, find it, and start playing.

Have you gotten it to work? I downloaded it, and shows it as connected in the app, but when I enable other inputs [ie bluetooth gamepad ] in the N64 emulatore, it doesn't work.

Are you using a sense rom, because I don't believe it will work with sense?

No, I'm on AOSP [CM7] When I'm in the wiimote app, I can see it confirming when I press B, 1,2, home ect, as the keys on the screen light up and its connected successfully. Just when I try to use it in the game, it doesn't work.

So I take it this emulator runs relatively well on our evo?

Yeah it works pretty well. Still a little laggy here and there, and won't play some games at all. But other than that, its pretty sweet.

No reason it shoudn't, if its laggy, overclock a little bit.

Haha I meant like how well, I know how to run them I just meant I've been running psx emulators for a while with only moderate success and since n64 is running at 64 bit I was wondering how well it ran. Thank you though, that was very considerate!

No wont even boot up I tired several different roms from different sites all don't work...
One of them did cause the screen to flip but the on screen controls never showed up and then it just goes back to the rom list.

[Q] Cant get wii remote to work with TBOLT

me and my kids always used to play emulator games with a wii remote on my droid x. No matter what rom i used it always worked. Now with my tbolt no matter which Wii app im using or which tbolt rom im using, sense or senseless, it will not work. Does anyone know of any wii controller app and tbolt rom combo that it will work. Thanks in advance.
NOTE: Most Wii remote apps say that they will not work with Sense or Motoblur. I could get them to work with motoblur. Hopefully I can do the same with Sense

I used Wii Controller IME in the past on a Backflip, haven't tried yet on the TB though.

tried Tesla Coil rom last night and couldn't get it to work
but i guess it's because it's still using the sense bluetooth stack?
the senseless roms that are out right now aren't 100% senseless?

The problem is to so called "senseless" roms right now are still based on sense but have a majority of the apps. until a fully built-from-source rom if built, we are going to be out of luck,

CM7 is the only working rom at the moment that you can do this with.

yeah... basically aosp theme... still sense base
cm7 is the only rom based on aosp (afaik)
can't wait for more to come

[Q] Wiimote controller on Thunderbolt?

Has anyone successfully gotten any of the Wiimote controller apps to work on their Thunderbolt? Supposedly all of these apps are not compatible with HTC Sense, but I wonder if it would work with a non-Sense ROM (or deSensed version) out there. I'm running BAMF 1.6.2 and loving it, but would like to try playing some emulators with a wiimote.

I'm running CM7 and it works great! Caution, though, CM can be a bit quirky at times. May not be for daily use.

It will work with aosp roms like cyanogen. Non-sense roms are still sense based but with rosie and HTC apps removed. It won't work on any of those

Blood and Glory on Rooted EVO

Has anyone gotten the game Blood and Glory by Glu Mobile to work on their rooted Evo?

Glu Mobile support is claiming that they do not support Rooted devices (which is pretty lame if you ask me) but I'm wondering if there is some technical reason they're doing this.

It is working just fine for me on my rooted evo with Cyanogen nightly 256.

Never knew there was an issue... I play Blood and Glory every so often but its always worked on whatever ROM that I flashed and played it on.

Works on mine rooted eco 4g

I was using the MikG roms as well when it wasn't working. I switched to CM7 and works like a charm.
It's interesting for sure.

Was working fine on cm7 switched to SOS and the game no longer worked.

Thanks for this thread. Didn't know the game existed, d/l'd it yesterday and it's great. Btw, rooted & running Xplod rls3. Seems to play better on Savaged Zen 2.2.1, than Tiamat 3.3.7

didn't know it didn't work on rooted evo... used it with mikg v2.59 stock and freedom kernel also cyanogen 7.1 works way better and smoother on cyanogen tho... but i love sense

Not working on mine. Running Decks ICS p8. Keeps switching from loading screen to preparing.
Could just be cause its pre alpha. But thought I would try. A few other games seem to be fine though.

Anyways works on CM7 though.

I'm on icsmod7, game works but I'm not paying for coins or weapons, same as gamekoft nfl 2012, to use special plays u gotta buy coins.. they really trying to squeeze money outta you now.... not paying for that

Go to manage apps and move to sd card manually. Didn't work for me either until I did this.

Switched back to CM7 stable and runs fine.

Also can't get it to load on Decks alpha 1 4.0.3

I could only play it on the stock rom... doesn't load on MikG or SOS....not sure why
