Hey everyone, just finished installing the 2.2 froyo leak and was wondering if anybody had tested the wiimotecontroller application with it.
I know previously, the incredible couldn't use this program due to problems with bluetooth stack but I wasn't sure if this update would fix it. Going to test it later on but was wondering if anybody had already tested it.

Yeah unfortunately the application doesn't recognize the Bluetooth
Lets hope Cm6 works out all the bugs soon.

Well, supposedly any sense ui messes with the bluetooth. I saw a few people running CM5.0.4 on the incredible that were able to use the wiimotes.
Why in the world would sense ui affect bluetooth's ability and functionality?

Man, this is a major bummer. I was really hoping it would work now. I like Sense a lot, and I use a lot of the Sense widgets, but I really want to use a wireless controller to play games on my phone. I guess I gotta use CM6, but I dunno if it's worth it. >:|

I'm surprised no one has tried to port over an AOSP ROM from the Nexus one.
Has it been attempted am i just in the blue here?
Before my Evo, i had a Hero(sprint) and member zenulator had done a straight port of the MyTouch3G Slide to the hero... I LOVED that ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=666967
I could tell it was a straight port over because my 3g connection would display Edge (E).
Now i'm not a ROM chef, but it can't be too hard to port over with the Evo and Nexus1 having almost identical hardware, right? Well, atleast they are WAY more similar than the Hero and MT3G slide.
Any chef's taken this on? Any chefs want too?
Maybe a true port can fix our bluetooth issues and allow us to connect bgp100 and wii remote gamepads? This is what i'm dying for

Didnt see a thread in the Incredible forums regarding this amazing app, so i figured i should make one.
It is essentially a n64 emulator... and it rocks! Mario 64 works flawlessly.
Anyone else find any good running games?
You can also play with the Wiimote, and it works amazingly! (if on a nonsense rom) Mario has never been so fun.
I'm playing smash bros with my wii controller. Awesome!

I am using OMFGB 2.3 rom, and the wiimote works flawlessly. I highly recommend it. I don't think it works on normal sense roms though.

In using cm 7 so no problem there. Is a third party app required it is it a direct Bluetooth sync?

What ROM/Kernel combo are you guys running to get it smooth? I tried Mario Kart and it was like 3fps
Wiimote will work on aosp roms but not sense based roms so cm7, miui, and omfgb it will work
You will need to grab a wiimote app from the market but its free app.
Also for some games running slow turn frameskip to 10 for better performance
I remember hearing something about using one with the fascinate. Can I use any remote? I'd like a lot if buttons for my emulators.

Someone has written a driver for it. Last time I checked, it wasn't free. But, I've heard it works. Never tried it myself. You can find it in the Market by searching wii remote.

It works with AOSP based ROMs, there was another thread in this very forum about it... You need the app from the market by the way, you can't pair with it through settings.
Now that the 2.2 OTA update is out... Which BT gamepads/Wiimote will work?
Will we still have to root/load a custom ROM to get it to work?
I'd be psyched to go buy a Wiimote if it will work w/Fascinate now that 2.2 has finally been released (officially).
You still need to use an aosp rom, the ota froyo update still has the Touchwiz bluetooth stack which still doesn't work.
I really wish that you could just import the bluetooth from a aosp rom lol not that simple but still.
Honestly, you should try one out. The only things broken in froyo aosp roms are bluetooth calling, camcorder, and mms. Everything else works pretty well and aosp roms are so much faster than Touchwiz roms, just try out MIUI or Cyanogenmod 6.2, they're both amazing.

I tried it and loved it for a month, but eventually not being able to send/receive mms and the flash not working most of the time lead me right back into the community rom when that came out.
Will have to try this now that I'm on omfgb

me and my kids always used to play emulator games with a wii remote on my droid x. No matter what rom i used it always worked. Now with my tbolt no matter which Wii app im using or which tbolt rom im using, sense or senseless, it will not work. Does anyone know of any wii controller app and tbolt rom combo that it will work. Thanks in advance.
NOTE: Most Wii remote apps say that they will not work with Sense or Motoblur. I could get them to work with motoblur. Hopefully I can do the same with Sense
I used Wii Controller IME in the past on a Backflip, haven't tried yet on the TB though.

but i guess it's because it's still using the sense bluetooth stack?
the senseless roms that are out right now aren't 100% senseless?
The problem is to so called "senseless" roms right now are still based on sense but have a majority of the apps. until a fully built-from-source rom if built, we are going to be out of luck,

yeah... basically aosp theme... still sense base
cm7 is the only rom based on aosp (afaik)

Supposedly all of these apps are not compatible with HTC Sense, but I wonder if it would work with a non-Sense ROM (or deSensed version) out there. I'm running BAMF 1.6.2 and loving it, but would like to try playing some emulators with a wiimote.

I'm running CM7 and it works great! Caution, though, CM can be a bit quirky at times. May not be for daily use.

It will work with aosp roms like cyanogen. Non-sense roms are still sense based but with rosie and HTC apps removed. It won't work on any of those
