Has anyone gotten the game Blood and Glory by Glu Mobile to work on their rooted Evo?

Glu Mobile support is claiming that they do not support Rooted devices (which is pretty lame if you ask me) but I'm wondering if there is some technical reason they're doing this.

It is working just fine for me on my rooted evo with Cyanogen nightly 256.
Never knew there was an issue... I play Blood and Glory every so often but its always worked on whatever ROM that I flashed and played it on.

I was using the MikG roms as well when it wasn't working. I switched to CM7 and works like a charm.
It's interesting for sure.
Was working fine on cm7 switched to SOS and the game no longer worked.

Thanks for this thread. Didn't know the game existed, d/l'd it yesterday and it's great. Btw, rooted & running Xplod rls3. Seems to play better on Savaged Zen 2.2.1, than Tiamat 3.3.7

didn't know it didn't work on rooted evo... used it with mikg v2.59 stock and freedom kernel also cyanogen 7.1 works way better and smoother on cyanogen tho... but i love sense

Not working on mine. Running Decks ICS p8. Keeps switching from loading screen to preparing.
Could just be cause its pre alpha. But thought I would try. A few other games seem to be fine though.

I'm on icsmod7, game works but I'm not paying for coins or weapons, same as gamekoft nfl 2012, to use special plays u gotta buy coins.. they really trying to squeeze money outta you now.... not paying for that

Go to manage apps and move to sd card manually. Didn't work for me either until I did this.
Switched back to CM7 stable and runs fine.

I could only play it on the stock rom... doesn't load on MikG or SOS....not sure why

Still using froyo so I can stream, I just streamed Blue Streak to hdmi and it looked pretty good, little choppy but still amazing. I will try on my Sprint Lovers and current GB nands.
Edit: Very nice works on Sprint Lovers. Great work. Also works on Leoisright speedy port(no streaming) which is cool because the rosie is landscaped also.

Awesome news my friend, appreciate the feedback. I assume if netflixs took the device check off, this apk should work with any android native device that supports the hardware requirements.

Streaming is still not working on sense above 2.0 with 2.3.3 but landscape is fine.

I made this apk from the original release apk. It has device verification turned off and working landscape. Just curious if it'll work on sense or not.

It will work on older sense(sprint lovers warm z), any sense that I tried past froyo won't stream, but landscape is ok.
I had working (stream) on sprint lovers rom. Ran netflix through hdmi for my whole lunch break no problem.

I wonder if its hardware drivers not present. Is there a apk for netflixs available that is confirmed working on sense builds? If so, I could easily add the ability to use the accelerometer in landscape.

Yeah, just the market version is what I found to work on sprint lovers and warm z. Also there new update last week was supposed to work with newer roms but I haven't been able to use.
One of the things I just noticed on landscaped netflix ver. Streaming starts loading, then quits, then starts again but the second loading screen with loading icon gets bigger and off center. Then it quits back to netflix. Which is more then I get with other ver. Usually quits after white screen or I get "problem getting media if problem persists contact netflix"
Update: Just tested landscape on virus kingdom b1.1 landscape is good no stream.

OMG! Finally streaming netflix works on my evo! This is why I love android, and the community! You guys are awesome!!
Netflix announced support for a plethora of new devices ... no Infuse love however.

What ROM are you using? I've played it on MIUI, Cyanogenmod, multiple Sense 3.0 and 3.5 roms, and haven't had any lag with any of them.
Also, if you have anything other than the default kernel for each rom please let me know that as well.
I don't recall. I got it when it wad released and first big news. I switch a lot so tough to say. Sorry no help there.

Well...i would say to give absolution a try. It has overclocking with the kernel it uses (which isn't really necessary but could be useful for you) and runs very smooth for me. Its a Cyanogenmod rom so no "sense" but there are a ton of customizations.
It runs ok in all roms I've tried.
But absolution, blackice, or any other CM rom should be faster then a sense rom.

I'm writing this post - and asking this question - merely because I've had an AOSP Rom on my phone for quite some time, and despite reading several threads on Sense-Based ROMS, I'm overwhelmed. So, I'm asking for a bit of help.
I'm stuck working on Super Bowl Sunday, and I'd like to be able to stream the game to my phone (or my Tablet). I'm looking for suggestions about which ROM(s) I should try/use to stream the game. As I understand it, I will need a Sense ROM and the NFL Mobile app, but I don't know of any that are configured correctly out-of-the-box to stream the game.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated by myself and my co-workers.
Most of the roms especially sense ones will work right out of the box with it. i know some have had issues but alot have been fixed.
You could simply do a nand backup of your current rom and then flash a couple to see what you like and try the NFL mobile app to see if it works well

Any sense rom should work sir. If in doubt.. Download a stock rooted rom.. you should be fine.

Like others have said, most any sense rom should work except the Thunderbolt MR4 Sense 3.0 Leak as it is not a Verizon leak, its for open mobile and none of the Verizon apps work.

Use a Faux kernel, I solved this issue and its the only way it'll work.

I actually tried this and downloaded a Faux kernel but now when I open up this game, it gives me the spinning wheel and it says getting ready. This is on a MIUI rom 2.3.30
I had tones of issues on GB. So far no issues at all with various ICS roms floating around. Take the plunge and switch to ICS.
Ok here's a work around to my problem....
Draw something will work with Faux kernel for MIUI 2.3.30 but you can only use your data instead of WIFI. For some reason when in WIFI, you will get the endless "Getting Ready" message but if you turn off your WIFI and use your data. It seems to work ok.

They released a new version this week, but it still doesn't work for me on CM7 7.2.0-RC1. (it freezes up when you try to start the app)
My friends and I experience a problem where the letters for the correct word are not available to be chosen on the bottom. Instead, the app gives us the choice of letters from the previous drawing. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? It was so annoying that I stopped playing the game -_-
