I noticed CM 5.0.7 was available in the ROM manager app (it doesn't show in CM updater - always says no updates found wish I knew why!?).
So just to confirm if I apply via ROM manager will it wipe out my current theme or any data?

Going to do a .1 for the N1 build, I didn't actually include the fixed Gallery3D. Also, the FroYo radio WON'T work with 5.0.7-N1.)
my advice is to wait for the cm updater to show it...rom manager may have jumped the gun
OK thanks.
So CM 5.0.7.1 works with froyo? Includes froyo?
How does that work?
1) apply stock
2) apply froyo
3) apply CM?
I hope someone posts a sticky guide for noobs or something - this is all getting rather daunting!

Don't apply Froyo before CM there's no need.
Root your phone
apply Amon Ra recovery
Back up
apply CM
Really? So CM 5.0.7 will include all the goodies from froyo? I don't have to instal froyo myself at all?

Are these the updated PNG's? Over in the Nexus forums, their Galaxy metamorphs have been updated with new PNG images with more color. Ported it to my CM6.1 and they look amazing!
Very nice I really like this. I hope you keep this up to date. Flashed over the latest Nightly 153 and all seems to be working GREAT.

this might be the only one i do for a release candidate. this particular ROM version won't load past the splash screen on a reboot often. sometimes it will if i wipe cache/dalvik-cache and sometimes it won't and i'll just have to pull the battery again. if another RC doesn't release soon, i'm going back to 6.0.

if you direct me to that thread, i can get to work on porting some of that stuff to this theme for maybe when the CM is a final release instead of release candidate.

screen shots can be found in the original thread. lockscreen clock is stock font, but that's how it's always been for me since the first theme was made for 6.0
also, for those of you flashing this over Nightlies, please understand that if there are bug fixes to apks in the CM Nightly ROMs, when you flash this theme, it overwrites those apks.
i've been on 6.1 and Nightly builds 154/155 and haven't noticed any major changes, though.

so i managed to find the GalaxyS theme over in the NexusOne forums. it can be seen here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=709946
would you guys prefer i keep this theme as close to the original one or would you like most of the images updated to what's in the above thread? if i get too many mixed answers, i may just make a seperate one
like the way you have this one; it's fine and i have no complaints
I like yours better too.

Question...are the widgets skinned? The stock Android widgets are so ugly.
This thread is reserve for nightly build of CyanogenMod Rom for HTC Desire HD
CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android 2.2 (Froyo) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
Code:
** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.

** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.
What are Nightly build? Auto compiled build of the latest CyanogenMod source from github. This version change each night and aren't officialy supported.
If you find bugs/issues you can/must discuss here (do not submit nightlies bug on CyanogenMod issue tracker).
Warning : Not for new user, flash this build only if you know what you are doing !!!
INSTRUCTIONS:
- First time flashing CM 6 to your Desire (or coming from another ROM)?
1. Root your device and install Clockwork Recovery.
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
4. Install the ROM
5. Optionally install the Google Addon
- Upgrading from earlier CM6?

What does this mean exactly ? its updated nightly ? or ... haha
a nightly-build contains all the newest changes which come step-by-step.
all the changes will be offered in a new release candidate if there are stable and harmonize.
so if you always want the newest fixes, patches and so on..you have to flash the nightly-builds. but there is no guarantee that it is stable.
if you want a stable build you have to wait for the rc
sorry for my bad english

Team Douche do work on the rom every day. You can see what commitments they make to the code on the git hub. Every night an automated build bot compiles the code into a flashable rom. As stated in the op, these are experimental builds which add new features but may be quite buggy. In my experience with the nexus one they are usually very stable apart from the odd annoying glitch.
Most importantly for bleeding edge lovers like myself you get to check out new features before, often weeks before, people using the stable branch.

But, now Cyanogen has got all organised, at this stage in the cycle i.e prior to release of the stable version it tends to mainly be bug-fixes rather than additional features so in my experience these late nightly release are often better than the RC's on which they are based

Good point. Until Cyanogenmod 7 (Gingerbread) we probably won't see any new features.
Can't post link to git hub right now but google "cyanogenmod git hub" should take you right there.

hi i'm new to Android and have a few questions. Just flashed this rom and it looked amazing except that I didn't have market or any other apps. Is it just me (do those apps fall under the Google stuff mentioned earlier? And is it possible to get my contacts from leedroid (just switched after full wipe) also would it help if I flashed the "normal" CM and install the nighty Rom s update ?Anyone can help me? Thx in advance

yup market, gmail, maps etc come under the GAPPS package which you have to flash after flashing cyanogen mod.
If you sync your contacts to your gmail then it should be restored after entering your account details with the new rom
And it doesn't matter if you install the normal CM and then install the nightly, you can just jump straight into the nightly if you want. As previously stated, normal is a stable release whereas nightly is untested but usually stable.

yes you need to get the google addons for theDHD its HDPI-20101114
http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/
but if you downloaded the rom from rom manger it asks you if you want the google add-ons after the rom as well.
when you install google add-ons sould get your contacts back
only need to do full wipe if you coming from a different rom, eg leedroids rom, if already using CM 6.1 rc2 or rc1 just need to flash the nightly over it.
Thx a lot you both saved my day

Hello!
I flashed CM9 RC2 recently and now whatsapp doesn't work. I get warning after installing it saying that custom rom might cause whatsapp not to work properly. After starting whatsapp it simply closes down.
Before CM9 RC2 i used HyperSensation Rom (2.9 i think), and it worked normally without any problems.
Is there anything i can do to get this to work besides reflashing ROM?
Thank you.
Delete the data of the app.. Un-install it and install it again that might help

Tried that several times. Problem still persists.
EDIT: Just to report. Eventually i installed latest AOKP rom from their site (Milestone 6), and it works fine now.
ive had this same problem. I am usuing the CM9 RC2 right from the cyanogen mod website for samsung captivate ATT. if i install the AOKP rom you think it will work. and if i do whats the difference between AOKP build 40 and milestone 6.
edit: ok i installed milestone 6 and still did not work. what the hell

AOKP builds marked with number (for example: build 40) are something like beta builds and are more likely to have bugs. Milestone builds are more stable releases.
Regarding problem with whatsapp. Seriously i dont know why is this happening. I tried searching net and found couple guys with same problem but nobody offered solution. As i said in my first post, i used hypersensation which was build on one of earlier CM9 releases and it worked fine. So i would suggest to try some earlier releases of AOKP or CM9 or some rom from XDA based on them.
could you please provide me with a link to the rom you used. i will try that one
Here is hypersensation. However i used 2.9 version based on CM9, current version is 3.1. Download is in post 2. In post 3 you can find AOKP roms, but i haven't tried these.
I am using a samsung Captivate. will this rom work for me
My guess is no. You should probably go to Samsung Captivate forum and check there. I don't know anything about Captivate.
