3,600mAh battery review - G2 and Desire Z Accessories

All righty so after much pondering and wondering 'should I' and 'what if'... I finally said screw it and bought the 3,600mAh Mugen Power Battery for my G2
Pricey at $100 and nearly 3 weeks to get due to back order, it was tough... but once I got it, installed it, charged it, deep cycled a couple times... battery life is flat out awesome.
Typical daily usage for me includes 2-3 sessions of 20 minutes of streaming music (Pandora or Subsonic), 20 minutes calling, ~50 to 100 SMS, ~20 emails, and occasionally I'll get on the browser and check stuff out online.
I leave GPS and 3G on all the time, Sync is always on, I turn WiFi on when I'm at home, sometimes I use bluetooth (very rare) for keyboard.. I use Automatic brightness
On my G2 using CM7, and overclock to 1.1Ghz w/ONDEMAND governor stock 1300mAh battery achieved 14-20 hours of run time, typically the phone was dead after around 15 hours. Sometimes I would get more if I didn't use it much, other times if I GPS on battery, I get 10-12 hours
Now with 3600mAh.. the WORST I've gotten (this was trying to kill the phone asap) I got 20 hours. Mind you I had NAV on when it wasn't needed, I left brightness at max, left WiFi and bluetooth on, etc etc...
I've been using the phone today normally, my battery is at 82% and I've been 9 hours and 19 minutes since unplugged. This battery is ridiculously awesome!! I haven't even been able to drain it under normal usage, yet lol
The size it added is not all that big of a deal.. I can post some pictures but the fat cover adds maybe 1/8 inch to the phone's thickness. Its ugly IMO... but its functionality has captured my heart lol I really do love the run time with this battery, it was so worth ditching my case and paying $100 for it. I really do like it!
I'll post pics when I get another camera to snap some of the phone (my phone has become my primary camera LOL)

3,600mah Battery is 12% in this picture.. Could have done MUCH better though:
You can see a sharp drop.. I played games on the phone for 2-3 hours. I imagine if I did not play any games on it, I could have gone much longer.. I would guess perhaps another 12-24 hours on this charge!

Huh?
Sorry, your avatar distracted me
Nice review though, I stuck with the mugen 1800 and it serves my purpose. Get's me easily through the day with the little extra kick if needed

I considered the Mugen 1800 for a while too but I figured for the money the 3,600 gave me more of what I wanted...

1. And is the battery any good so far?
2. Can you point me to the seller?

Thanks for the info. I am in need of finding another battery solution because I end up having to charge on the car ride home every day to use for the evening. Its a pain.

The battery is pretty good. I can get a full days use easy out of it. This includes heavy browsing, games, 100-200 texts a day, email, Twitter and Facebook. Here is the link, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120680372473&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I also have a picture of it on the phone itself.

I bit and got the 1800 mAh battery, didn't want the extra bulkness, but needed something to get over this crappy stock battery, I usually do a lot of texting/talking on my mytouch 4g and it would usually get me thru the day if not more then 24 hours including stand by. With this battery, I couldn't get thru a whole day w/o charging, so hoping the 1800 mah battery can help.

3500mAh for 12 bucks: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/3-7v-3...y-pack-with-back-cover-for-htc-desire-z-55616
The 3600 are probably just labeled with a higher rating.

most are this batteries are mislabeled either way haha... I prefer paying for the mislabeled 3600 since I'll get it in like 3 days rather than like 20 XD

These 3500 mAH batteries aren't bad at all. I've been using it for 2 weeks now, and I can last 2 days no problem. Only challenge is trying to completely kill the battery.

Might save a few bucks, but you have to be careful with these no-name batteries.
They sometimes only test at 60-70% of the capacity they're listed at.
http://batteryboss.org/
Now Id still say this is a better deal than the Seidio or Mugen, considering the 3200 Mugen tested at 75% of the capacity promised, and Seidio 3500mah at 81% of promised capacity.
The no name (different no-name but still) 3600mah tested in at 2466mah, 70%, but costs a lot less that the Seidio and Mugen (15% the price).

I bought a 3500mah. Hopefully the battery life makes up for the bulkness of the phone.
One question. Does it feel weird with the big battery in your pocket?

HTC Desire Extended Battery

As much as I love my new Desire, one thing I am not so keen on is how fast it is possible to rip through a fully charged battery.
I have already found that a fully charged Desire that is unplugged when I leave for work at 7am will need a charge by around 3pm!
This may be due to my usage, but what's the point of having a smartphone unless you use it to the max
Previously I had a Raphael which had a similar problem, which I solved by getting an extended battery from eBay.
Extended batteries for the Desire seemed pretty scarce on eBay - most of the ones on there being for the Nexus one which has a slightly different backplate. I did find one for £13.99 that was shipped from Hong Kong, so I thought it was worth a try.
Around 2 weeks later this arrived in the post:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
First impressions were good, the backplate felt pretty solid and has a nice rubberised finish to it.
It was promptly fitted to my Desire:
Again I was impressed with the quality, the backplate fitted perfectly - no gaps or bulges:
It also passed the most important test; not bursting into flames when i plugged the charger in!
As you can see it doubles the thickness of the Desire, but its not too obtrusive in my opinion. As a bonus you can actually stand the phone on its side for video watching
Today was the first full day of usage, and so far it has been running for 14 hours and the battery level (Using Battery Indicator Pro) is at 14%.
That includes 97 texts sent, around 20 minutes of calls, 10 minutes using RAC Traffic app (GPS), 10 minutes using Google Maps, 30 minutes with the WiFi on using VNC to connect to a machine at work, say 10 minutes of browsing, and randomly checking emails & Twitter throughout the day. (sync was turned off)
This is pretty much exactly what I wanted - being able to go a whole day without a charge, and still use the phone as I pleased. The trade-off is a slightly bigger and heavier phone but I can live with that
If anyone wants I an extended battery I heartily recommend one like this.
Is it ok to link to eBay sellers? As I don't mind providing the link.
Now i'm off to (finally) charge my phone...
Thanks for the review, ebay seller links are fine or just give the item number/seller? How about in the pocket, it must feel heavy and bulging out?
I was thinking about getting one of these, thanks. As above, same question really does it make it feel considerably heavier?
What about this one?

Although the back cover looks better people on another forum have said that this battery is not that good and seems to not give any extra juice compared to the original. Check my posts about it here, I would not get that battery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=673449&page=9
Eurgh, that back cover looks terrible.
This is the one I bought:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2500MAH-EXTEN...UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item4150ccfef7
According to my kitchen scales the Desire weighs 165g with the extended battery fitted.
It doesn't feel considerably heavier, and still fits fine in the back pocket of my jeans.
Currently it's been running for 17 hours and has 32% left
I have one too since yesterday exactly the same battery. I must say I havent seen so much different so far. Maybe slighter better but I thought it would be much better than that.

£14 you mean?
I've really had no problems with the battery. It's much better than my old G1, and I use my phone constantly to check e-mail, twitter and play games during smoke breaks. The battery lasts from 9am til about 10pm. I'm using OpenDesire but haven't tested other ROMs.
this is medium to low usage and i get 2days with default battery.
would put such cover crap on my desire
I dunno what's the big deal with those big batteries? The phones original battery workes all fine. Just turn off all widgets, like "Mobile"-internet widget who drains most power of them all, and you'll survive for next 6 upcomming days - with one charge! And before U think that big battery is "good", maybe u shall take a look here: http://batteryboss.org/
I can easily do that with my normal battery. This looks like crap. Did you even train your battery when you just got your Desire?
Bought an extended one with 2500 mah at ebay.
Use it for about two days.
My results is about 30 hours of usage with icq always on, some calls, refresh mail and weather.
Not so bat, but i've expected more...
The cover looks horrid - I'll stick to charging my phone each night thank you!!
Adding maybe 1 hour of battery life with a battery that is more than likely crap quality and will degrade after 1 week AND adding a back cover that makes the phone look like crap?
No thanks.
Hi there, do you still have the link to the extended battery you bought?

I'd love to have this battery, but then again I'd hate to damage my beloved Desire without my silicone case, so to be or not to be, eh?!
by the way, to save battery, hold power button till some noptions come up, at the bottom there is an internet option, just click that to turn internet connection off whenever you are not useing the phone! gives me 2 days with heavy use (gaming, music etc)
Makes that @ss look fat!

3500ma extended battery with cover from Amazon

I received this battery from Amazon last weekend. LG Optimus 2X G2x P999 Black Battery Door With 2700mAh Battery I'm on my second charge cycle (actually 13% left before I charge on the second cycle) and my phone has been up over 2 1/2 days, see screenshot.
I got lucky and then sent me a 3500mAh battery instead of the 2700mAh one advertised. Total cost to me was $8.74. Cheap enough and the larger battery more than makes up for the larger battery cover. After a couple of days, I barely notice the larger size.

Grats... Enjoy the battery!
Thanks. While I don't use my phone as much as I used to since I got my tablet, the battery life is amazing.
lol, in for one. At $8 its worth a try.
I just bought one off of Ebay yesterday. Supposed to be here Monday. Looking forward to it.
Received mine a few days ago. EASILY tripled my battery life, (coming from the Andida 1980mAh, running Owain CM9 beta, with Harsh kernel). $8 well spent, thanks!
I got that battery a month or two ago, at first it worked great, after 20 cycles or so the battery just tool a big dump. I mean yeah it still lasts last longer than the stock battery but it last half if what it originally started at

That's my question for anyone who buys the el-cheapo extended life batteries, how long do they really last? I can't see paying $8 every month cause the battery won't hold a charge after that time.
Anyone know any good ones?

I bought my Anker 2800mAh on April 26, 2012. It's been almost a full 2 months into its life and still functioning as well as it did when I bought it. Get close to 45-46hrs of function going from a full 100% down to the teens. Mind you my usage will be different than yours (as it always is the case), but I can't complain about my new battery at all.
I've had this battery for almost a month now. I'm still getting 2+ days use out of it. No sign of`lessened use. Am still happy with this purchase.
I actually made a video for this battery, or I assume its the same one.. I ordered the 2700 because I didn't like the way the 3500 curved but I ended up getting the 3500 and you adjust to it pretty quick, got mine months ago still holding up strong, can get easy 40 hours on my kind of usage when its moderate and on heavy usage (my style) 24-28 hours.
I've had a pair of these batteries for close to 8 months now. I I have to say between the two they ate amazing ith equally consistent results. I usually get around 30-35, hey usage most I've gotten out of it surprisingly was a little over 80hrs! With light usage.

I got the 2700 mAH battery and have had it for two days. Charged it first time fully and used and got a whole 14 hours out of it. Charged again fully and left it on charger after showing full for another 3 hours. Shut the phone down and wiped battery stats and restarted. Still getting questionable life. With the stock battery runn HFS 1.8 and the latest Harsh kernel OC'd to 656 Min and 1400 max and UV'ing as well I used to get about 10 hours off of a stock battery. Now I am seeing 14 with the 2700 mAH. Granted the OC doesn't help but I should be seeing more than 4 hours. No?

not a bad battery life
Hmm, guess I'll get this for camping, probably won't work for my case, but the battery life is worth it..

Tried cheap 9$ 3500mAh battery (tests included)

I found this one 3500mAh and ordered it : http://www.ebay.com/itm/251065892927
for 9$ I'm willing to give it a try (and even though it may be the exact same one from a chinese seller, I prefer to have it ship from a US location).

Yea I received it a week ago, I like it so far.
The battery door you can tell is cheap when you get it, however I've gotten use to it fast, the slightly rubberized texture is a nice feel for me and seems to fit better in my hands now.
After about 2, 3 days of charge up, drain down, charge up it seems to be nicely consistent now in the power usage can easily get a couple of days out of it before needing a charge (mostly on account of both my SetCPU profile and undervolting table).
Basically once fully charged it could take about 1.5-2 hours before it would end up showing 99% on stuff like Google Music, email, Facebook, etc.
A battery screenshot back when I was doing a bit of music and background notifications (fb, email, twitter, Skype, etc logged in and notifying around 10-15 minute mark), screen not on as often, but I don't usually have my screen on all that often especially as I don't normally sit thru a game that long.
Charges pretty fast at least.
I don't remember 100% what I did at what specific time frame, but I know from 42% to 36% I was watching an Episode of Heroes so bout 40ish minutes of netflix there.
EDIT (7/26/2012):
I drained the battery down til the phone died, and used a battery monitoring app to measure the mV charging back up from 0% to 100%. Also a mAh measurement of the battery. (took about 5 hours to drain the battery down with everything running GPS, 100% screen, wifi, bluetooth, FM radio, 90%+ CPU load, etc)
Thanks for the info, I will definitely be getting one.
Hopefully it will render the same results for my phone.

Lol It's not that big, I can actually put it in my pant's pocket just fine. If I can still wrap my first set of knuckles around the lip of the phone it's still not too thick, notice that the whole thing is not thicker than the width of my thumb.

Being that I'm in the United States (Grand Rapids, Michigan), and the seller was also in the United States (Georgia) I paid 6/21 Thursday and received it on monday morning 6/25. One of the reasons I picked this seller was because shipping was from the US and not from China, even if the product itself was probably identical to the Chinese shippers.
If you were in Holland, Michigan (which is bout a half an hour drive from me) you'd probably get it in the same time frame. Not sure about Georgia, USA to Holland (EU), probably faster than from Shanghai maybe.
With the latest EliteKernel I'm getting even better battery life (primarily in screen off mode) so will probably be posting another screenshot in the next day or so.

The one I bought is 3500mAh (should say the same on that specific ebay listing).
Yea CM9 was eating my battery like crazy which is why I switched over to EliteMod ICS (based on the CM9 Kernel, but uses AOKP for the rest of it and his own tweaks).

Yea I find it easier because the extra 'lip' on the battery door makes it easier to grasp when working in landscape mode. Normally landscape isn't a problem if you're not using the keyboard at all, but once you slide out the keyboard the working thickness you have to grab onto is effectively halved with the original battery door.
Wow, ~2 days of battery life? Is it really worth the extra bulk, though? And how long does it take to fully charge?

The day it arrived it took about 4-5 hours to be considered 'charged', when I first got it, it said 66% but thats because it was going off the info from the stock battery when it was actually near dead. So for a couple hours it'll actually say 99% until it finally hits the top at 100%. It takes a couple of days for the battery stats to become accurate it seems, but you could go a full day easy after the first 5-6 hour charge.
I've gotten setCPU profile tweaked and undervolting as low as I can while keeping 122-1286 stable, but I don't use it 24/7 at full brightness so yes it could go without a charge for over a day and a half. (though seems longer now that the new EliteKernel is actually easier on the battery once again).
With my original stock 1300mAh battery if I were to keep it in standby I could probably best around 18-20 hours, but that is if I didn't actually have the screen on most of the time.
If I get a chance to actually run down the battery I'll get a screenshot.
Far as the bulk, it actually doesn't bother me as much as some people may think, I actually prefer the cheap semi-rubberized backing on it to the chrome door, and it's easier for me to grip especially in landscape orientation, and I don't wear tight jeans or anything like that. But yea may seem like a brick when our phones are getting thinner and thinner.
I went with that ebay listing because I didn't like how some of the more expensive offerings (22 to 80$) had a dome-like covering over the speaker as opposed to the flat flush that this has, and the gamble thus far seems to have paid off.
Hmm this is sort of unrelated to the main topic, so I'll apologize, but:
Recently, my Desire Z got some water damage. Seems to be working fine at the moment, but I notice the battery's been overheating, despite relatively moderate use, and playing games such as Bloons TD resulted in a considerably toasty back cover. Does this seem like a good time to switch out my battery?
Short answer yes, why not try out the one in the op? Seems promising!

Thanks for answering! I'm considering a 1800mAh one though, as I prefer retaining the phone's original exterior appearance.
I just got mine about two weeks ago so here is my review. I ordered the same one as the OP on ebay and paid $6. This is one of the best mods done to my phone! I can easily get 3-4 days out of my phone before having to charge. I'm on stock GB. Sure it ads weight and thickness but not having to worry about my phone making it through my 12 hour work shift is well worth it. I previously had a 2200mah ebay battery made for the Evo 4G. The battery door no longer fit so I just used a cheap ebay case. I could get 12-14 hours out of it, but it started to wear out and I was lucky to get 10 hours out of it. This 3500mah battery is def worth it.

Good to know, I been pretty much on EliteMod ICS since I had the battery, but least your post gives me kind of an idea what stock would be like (or better yet what something like G2Lite 1.6 would be like).
Trying to drain down my battery, wasn't draining fast enough. So grabbed a battery draining app, gps, screen to 100%, BT, CPU load up.
Got setCPU profile set to 1286mhz, performance governor. And Spirit FM running in the background.
It's down to 33% so far, once I can get it under 5% or so I'll get it plugged in and charging up so can get an idea of the battery's minimum mv vs maximum mv, and 'measured' mAh. I previously did it from 29% to 100% with a measured mAh around 2700.

zerolemon 3000mah

I recently purchased this for my galaxy s4. I got right at 9 hrs before it went to 0% and completely turned off. 3 hrs was non stop screen time. I did not use any battery management apps and left wifi on non stop but turned off blue tooth.
It seems like this battery only gave me about 1 he extra over stock. This is a stock replacement. I've seen a lot of Zerolemon worship videos on YouTube but no "real reviews".
Has anyone else any experience with this battery ? Doesn't seem that great.
Ok I must be the only one who owns this battery. That's OK I've always considered myself a pioneer. At any rate I checked again and same thing. No NFC, takes forever to charge, no significant change in battery time. The battery itself is larger than the stock albeit only by a millimeter or so.
Waste of money.

I wouldn't say it's a waste of money... Mine have been treating me well. Really the batteries are only about 2800 mAh or so, not an actual 3000, but I'd still prefer the extra hour or so even if it takes away NFC (that I never use).
Here's the best I've gotten with this battery all on LTE.

I returned the 3000mah battery today.
The 3000mah is 600mah over stock. So in theory you should get +20% more battery time. My Samsung was about 8 hrs which is I believe what samsung claims anyway. So in theory I should get an additional 96 minutes of time. Using touchwiz I got the most 56 minutes.
For me an additional 56 min does not warrant $20. I'd rather take the 20 and buy the bigger 7500mah or keep it slim stock and buy an external that I plug up. Some. A disagree with me but 56 minutes is negligible. 96 minutes would be better as my phone rips through power.
I definitely did not get the same time as you did but I'm using TW and not ASOP. Then again I used it in the manner I normally would and disabled juice defender. Juice defender is pretty good and works well on aggressive setting and helps extended battery life.....
I just personally did not find value in the battery.
Just ran my Samsung battery again and recharged it. It lasted about 8 hrs 20 min this past time. It charged faster than the Zerolemon as well. I may try Ankor or another extended battery. The actual door batteries seem to be better value. My friend got the mophie juice pack for $99. No NFC, no USB OTG, bulky, 2300mah. That's a pretty bad deal the case is huge and that's way too expensive for such little battery..I use USB OTG alot
I have the Zerolemon slim line I don't remember mah but I have had good luck with it. I have gone two days on it, making phone calls and social media . Go figure I guess it the luck of the draw.
Better Suggestion
I'm looking for a better battery, but it has to have a thin enough back case that the touchstone hack would work. Suggestions?

The original Samsung Battery has 2600 mah and the Zerolemon claims to have 3000. That's 400 more not 600.
Good point, I did re-read this thread. I know a friend who also got this battery a little after I did and kept it. I told him about my extra time, and he approximately did get 1hr extra over stock as well. He's had it now for a month, and he says the time now is equivalent to stock (i.e. the extra hour does not seem to take hold anymore).
At any rate, with a spotty experience it is hard to justify over just buying a stock Samsung battery if you need the extra capacity. I don't mind losing the NFC over extra battery time, but the results are negligible at best.
amazing :good:

I never tried it. What I ultimately did was get a portable battery pack and another Samsung battery. The portable battery pack can charge the phone on the fly with the USB cord and also charge any other phones or devices. The spare Samsung battery is for a battery swap if I need the phone ASAP.
The first Samsung battery I got was a fake, so I just went to Fry's Electronics and bought retail an authentic Samsung battery. I knew the Samsung battery was a fake because around 13% it would be become unstable and just turn off. It never went systematically to 0. It just was a toss up when the phone died under 13%. Eventually the battery would just completely die in 2 hrs.
This what I'll do in the future is just buy a spare stock battery. I already have a universal portable battery pack.
I looked at all options. The ZeroLemon extended batteries are bulky (the big ones) and heavy. For anyone who holds and uses their phone a lot, the phone becomes very big to just take in and out of the pocket frequently. Plus it looks horrible in my opinion. If you feel that is a great option for you, more power to you. I take a lot of pictures with my phone, and that battery pack isn't happening.
I also looked at battery pack cases which were not my thing. You buy a Mophie case that makes the phone so huge and only charges your phone to 80% ? For a whopping $100. What a deal.
I bought a spare authentic Samsung battery from Fry's for like $30 or so. My phone is slim, I can take pictures easily, and when I socialize with women and get their numbers, they aren't laughing at my ridiculous phone lol.
I like my zero lemon batteries actually. I got what I paid for. Marginal batteries which help me get through the day. I didn't expect some magical change. They are 10 bucks how much did you think they would help? I like the red charger and I swap between the two batteries I got. Beats carrying around a charger I just pop the other battery in and I'm good for the day.
That's fair. They just were not my thing. I'm content with another genuine Samsung battery. One of my friends got one and still has it. He said that the additional time is not there anymore, and they have the same life as the Samsung batterys. Not sure if it is his battery or how they really are, but I'm content not having it. Plus the battery creates a very minor bulge at the back. I had a very tight fitting case on when I tried the battery and it created a minor gap.
If you like them more power to you, but I don't care for their products.
I have a 3000mah battery.. idk what brand.. it was a gift. So to get the most outta my L720t I bought a $9.99 wall mounting battery charger. And at night I'll charge both my Samsung battery and the extended life one. I use my Samsung till it's dead.. then I'll pop in the slightly bigger one. This way I always know I'll have enough juice..
Thanks for all your input guys.. I was wondering weather or not to get another 3000mah battery.. I'll stick with what's working... lol
I get over 4hrs of on-screen time on my stock battery in my gs4 that I bought the first week in may 2013. I was considering the zerolemon 3000mah but idk now. worst case scenario is that I can always return it if I see no improvement over stock
Just depends on what your need is. Are your guy's cases super tight fitting ? There will be a slight bulge at the back, full disclosure, so if it is extremely tight fitting that might be an issue. Do you have an aluminum backplate battery cover ? Again, you might run into problem it's not a 100% OEM fit, more like 97%.
I just don't think it is worth the hassle since the stock battery works fine and fits fine plus has Samsung quality control, but that's just me. The questionable benefit, unknown quality of the battery, and bulge at the back isn't my thing.

Mugen 6640 mah extended battery will be here soon!

So i got a Note 4 recently and immediately went for the Mugen Power 6640 mah extended battery. I just missed the FedEx truck today, hopefully i can swing by there tomorrow or else i will have to wait til monday. The battery life on the Note 4 is pretty good, coming from my HTC One M7, and the quick charge is VERY nice, but i really think i need this extended battery.
I will be posting some results from my experience with pictures of course in the coming days, as soon as i get my hands on the thing that is.
Here's what i am getting.

Well i was so excited to get started on this i drove all the way to the FedEx sorting center to pick it up today instead of waiting until Monday for them to re-deliver it. Will have a few teaser photos up by tomorrow morning.

Yes that's the same battery. I see there's quite a few pages on that thread, did anyone actually post test results, i went through the last few pages and didn't see much. I did notice someone said the case i bought should fit, (fingers crossed)
Here is a previous review i did, i will post something similar, focusing on the test results for battery life mainly.

Yes battery is good and tested good. Only 1 case will fit but you loose kickstand.

How have you found the battery life? Reason I'm asking is because I've tried the Anker 6440 extended battery and unless I didn't "condition" it properly I didn't see much of a better battery life than stock battery. Why I'm returning it.
For me gonna try the cheap battery cases like the knock off Mophie types from eBay and Amazon.
Last night I tried to kill it from a full charge. I got over almost 7.5 hours of screen on time mostly just running cpu+gpu stability test within full brightness, GPS, wifi, Bluetooth enabled with sync going every 15 minutes.
That's pretty good. For me I don't find much difference so I'm returning mine but glad you're getting better results than me. I also have the zerolemon 10,000 mAh beast but way too bulky for normal use.
Hopefully my cheap power bank battery cases come soon and I can try it out. For $17 shipped I figure not much to lose
Also you probably get what you pay for there. The Mugen is a $90 product, the Anker is a $30 product. You can't possibly think they are the same quality even though they are both rated the same capacity.

Kinda like i was saying before, with lithium ion stuff and also varying types of battery packs chemistry, usually you get what you pay for. I've used Mugen products on my Tmobile G2, HTC Evo 3d, and my One m7, all performed the same for the 2 years i had the phone, the cheap ones don't last the length of the contract.

That's true I guess but I've tried both Anker and Hyperion extended batteries and they're supposed to be reputable companies. And both don't seem to last as long as their advertised battery sizes. For me I'm not willing to pay $90 to get a few extra on screen hours (I'm averaging about 6 hrs OST with stock battery)

I'm sure I could get a lot of screen on time with normal use like power saver with auto brightness. Remember those numbers I got with screen on are maximum power consumption, max screen brightness, wifi, GPS, Bluetooth with a benchmark running both cpu and gpu at the same time. I guess it would be useful to see how long the stock battery does under the same conditions to get the big picture. 7.5 hours under those conditions has to translate to much more with power saver reducing cpu usage and auto brightness. I don't need full cpu speed unless I'm playing games.
thanx for sharing
I am still in the process of conditioning the battery. It stays at like 1% for 3 hours of full brightness screen time on the stabilty test cpu/gpu app. It's very good battery life so far. Will report back when i get everything together. Heres a couple teasers.
