Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to install SRS enhancement on Cyanogenmod 7. I am running Coredroid and it has SRS and I can't live without it.
Thanks
As far ad i know... nope... dsp manager can b used meanwhile for somewhat making your listning experience better. Can i ask whats so gr8 about these!? When last time i used sense rom and used these, and i burst out laughing thinking is this the so called srs and dolby feature.. lol.. urghh i think ppl have just become too picky these days and can't differentiate between true features due to lack od knowledge. Pls go to mgm or any electronics/music shop and listen to true srs and dolby using cmpatible headset(and ohh they are expensive ) feel the difference.
So according to me there is not Much difference even if use cm7. And dsp manager does a good job for effects too.

it's the only way to get srs/dolby mobile on cm7 i think
This might seem like a stupid question, but having recently switched over from the HD2, I'd like to know what's new in the Sensation. I've noticed a few things such as the connected media app and that the phone is more powerful, but I can do everything I can do on the Sensation on my old smashed HD2, which is now more or less my dedicated media player.

As an ex HD2 owner/addict, the sensation was the ONLY smart choice for upgrading to the current gen of hardware. The HD2 was amazing in its hayday, but its time has come. I suggest keeping it as a pda/media player and for the love of flashing some amazing roms
The ONLY significant change was the hardware, considering you can have 3.0 roms on the HD2 that have pretty much the exact same features
Hdmi out and dnla are prolly the best "new" features for you. Video calling is a nice one too, I use it soooo much now that I have a ffc

I sitll have my HD2, running the new Coredroid rom (now it is fantastic), without SIM Card.
HTC Sensation is much better in many things, like camera, vĂdeo, faster browser, better graphics resolution, faster mobile network transfer data, processor power and others.
But HD2 battery is MUCH, MUCH better than this little thing wich powering Sensation.
There are a lot of ex HD2 owners, because came to HTC Sensation is a natural evolution.
In time: remember HD2 was made for run WM 6.5, but everyone became its fan running Android.
Whatever.
As the last guy said there is a natural pregression from the HD2 to the Sensation. As im sure most of you do as well I have a backup phone which happens to be a HD2. Well three of them but I work on phones but thats besides to point.
Since there still isnt a solid cyanogen rom ready for the sensation I still find myself shutting down the sensation and pulling the card out to go right back in the good old HD2. with a big smile as it boots up with that beautiful aqua blue of the always solid, always stable HD2 running Typhoon Cyanogen rom. sorry for the rambling I am just still very happy with my HD2(s).
I agree, I'm still very happy with my HD2 minus the smashedness, but it's still very usable, and I still do on a day-to-day basis.
I don't know about you guys, but I feel pretty let down by the DLNA...
I can connect to my...
Windows 7 notebook (through Windows Media Player)
Xbox 360 (Win7 notebook has to be running + picture streaming only)
I can't connect to my...
Xbox 360 (without running my notebook, can't stream audio or video)
Windows XP netbook (running old WMP, might work with WMP update)
HTC HD2
to be honest, I never knew much about DLNA before I tried it on my Sensation - I was hoping to be able to stream media between all those devices, bit of a disappointment really.
What about the MHL link? I don't quite understand it, I've read it up on Wikipedia but it didn't clarify things. So from what I understand, it's a cable with micro-USB on one end (for the phone), and HDMI on the other end (for your TV, or whatever) - what I was interested in finding out, is if there's an inexpensive way for people that don't have HDTVs to use it? Would it be possible for me to get a cable that goes to scart or one of those yellow, red + white type cables?
The extra power is nice, but the HD2 can still run all the games my Sensation can. In fact, I was a little disappointed when I tried to run Rocket Bunnies & Space Bunnies on my Sensation - they ran, but kept freezing, they run very well on my HD2, but it's no fun when it's smashed.
You can't compare them one has windows 6,5 and the other the sensation has android
I also switched sold it for 180 and bought the sensation 4g for 150+. I am Sso happy I did. The screen is perfect for one handed use. Not like the hd2. And higher resolution is beautiful. And the power button is at the top so I don't accidentally turn it on in my pocket and text/call people. Ahhh I do miss wp7 tho, I loved switching back and forth. I might just leave android for the mango update but well see.

I know this has been asked a lot of times already and I think there is no fix for this in HTC Sensation (maybe Amaze 4G too I dont know, dont own an Amaze)..only work around is disabling stereo recording.
Is it a hardware issue or software? I've searched Evo3D on youtube and the audio quality is good on it. The same goes to HTC Titan, HTC's newest WP7 and Titan records in stereo..
So what gives?
I know most people do not like WP7 as android is superior, yet I was wondering if there was any way to port it over onto the sensation, a bit like the HD2 as surely it could if we thought about it?
No for the millionth time.
1) wp7 needs a license, which sensation doesn't have therefore making it illegal.
2) wp7 doesn't have ANY support for multi core.

WP7 being closed source as well, the HD2 was a bit of an exception since the hardware was practically the same as the HD7.

Before I start a kickstarter project to convince a developer/hacker to try to and do it, I'd want to know if it's at least possible. WP7 has seen many great hacks and tweaks (all thanks going to the wonderful devs) and this would be one I'd pay to see.
BTW I'm talking of the Klipsch s4i (or any iPod remote headphones) and I want to see volume as well as play/pause. Is it possible?

The earphones that came with my Samsung Omnia 7 had this, but I lost them
