First of all my email account is not from a company it's a common Hotmail account, but a I managed to get it work in my iPod touch using these settings:

Server: m.hotmail.com
Domain: *blank*
Username: lol

Have you go to your Accounts & Sync options? you can add your account from there.

It's a bug in HTC's mail app. From what I heard, it's to do with the default app not accepting the ssl certificates that hotmail uses. HTC knows about it, but hasn't done anything about it yet.
Well I'm going to have to change all my subscriptions to my gmail account, I was about to do it before but I'm so lazy xD, also I don't like the lack of pinch to zoom in the gmail app, it's so basic...
Thanks

again, we need more info or you should ask you admin / provider. you need to know if you are using ssl or not, you need to know your pop3/imap/smtp server address.
if you are able to access internet on your phone, then this is not related to T-mobile (if you don't have emails from them) or any network provider...
This are the settings used for configuring YAHOO mail manually....maybe these will help you see where you are going wrong:
For Yahoo.com
Incoming mail server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
For Yahoo.co.uk
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk (Use SSL, port: 995)
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk (Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication)
Many thanks

Htc mail app

Anyone else gave problems sending mail using the htc mail app?

It doesn't work for me at all. I have to use k9 to access my company mail..
No problems at all, I'm connected to an exchange 2003 server and an exchange 2010 server (home and work accounts).
Are you able to receive emails?

What mail account type is it? Hotmail, exchange, etc...
Do you enter it manually?
Probably the port is wrong. Or your provider doesn`t support imap without a premium account.

Enable html option for hotmail.

I would like to ask if there is a way to enable the html option on hotmail (m.hotmail.com) on the htc mail client.
It has the option but it's disabled.
Any suggestion.?

Outlook webmail sync

Does anyone know if you can get outlook web app to sync to your phone via HTC email app. I tried using the exchange active sync but keep getting errors. ? Would like to get emails and not have to log in through the internet each time. Supposedly blackberry users can sync.. but I can't get the HTC one x to. ? Any ideas.

I know in my case it depended on hte server. I sync my work email (which is exchange) on my phone, but only after they "enabled" it on their server (before that I couldn't).
Hmm. That may be why.

Agreed, check with your Exchange admin. There are a lot of security settings on ActiveSync and it could be that they've blocked syncing except on approved accounts.
Try setting up your gmail as an Exchange account. You just need to input the server as m.google.com. If that syncs, the problem is your work server settings.
I've never had any issues getting my Exchange email, though I use the stock ICS apps rather than the Sense mail app (which I detest).
