The best screen protector - Samsung Mesmerize

My bro just got a mesmerize and he does construction so he needs a good screen protector. What's the best on that doesn't hamper feel or screen brilliance?

tell him to get an otterbox, they are amazing, i just got one yesterday and love it

I've become a big fan of bestskinsever.com --same product as Zagg Invisible Shields, but instead of $30 you'll pay like $8....ships in a plain white envelope, and you have to provide your own baby-shampoo / water solution instead of a little spray bottle like comes with zagg, but I can't tell a difference in the product. I've used it on my Touch Pro 2, Moment, and hero, and have been very happy. I can't even tell it has a skin on it, and it's durable as all get-out. I just ordered my mesmerize today, and plan to get a skin for it ASAP. Though I've heard the screens on these things are pretty durable in their own right. anyway just my $0.02, keep the change

I use xtremeguard and it is the same as zagg and is like 5 bucls on amazon for the phone but I do construction and have the otterbox defender it has a built In,screen, protector

I'm, 50/50 on staying away from Zagg, even though they are probably the most durable protectors out there. On one hand, a properly installed InvisibleShield doesn't distort images on the screen or cause any real image quality problems. On the other hand they really hamper the responsiveness of the touchscreen until they're 'broken in' for a month or so. The slightly tacky surface slows down typing via Swype quite a bit at first. Once that initial tacky feeling wears off (or you get used to it) the Zagg is a great first-line of protection for the screen.

... and that's my primary beef with 'em. I guess I've just never been patient enough to let it break in. I'm running my Mez naked with a shell on the back that sorta protects the corners of the phone. (Have dropped it twice with no ill effects.) But I make a point not to put my keys in the same pocket, etc. The stock glass is pretty durable. At this rate no noticeable wear after 3 months of regular use. I figure if something ever happens it's probably gonna be bad enough that a thin skin on the screen isn't going to help much.

I use the stock Fascinate case from Verizon for protection and to add bulk so it doesn't slip from my hands.
I was under the impression that the Galaxy S phones all used Gorrilla glass which is highly durable.

*updated* Stealth Guards full body skins for $0

http://www.stealthguards.com/index.php/t-mobile-g2-full-body-protection.html
These have to be the cheapest skins I've seen. Only pay shipping. $2.85 to Connecticut for me. I actually ordered 2 for $4.85
Haven't heard anything about their quality before, but if they are at least as good as other discount skins like BestSkinsEver, then I will be happy.
Zagg and the other more expensive skins are a complete rip off. So far this is also the first FULL cover skin I have seen for the G2.
I'll post pics and a review after I get them in a few days.
*UPDATE*
StealthGuards are not great. No where near "full protection" like Zagg or BSE. Didn't even finish installing because they aren't going to do what I want.
I'm actually using the T-mobile snap on gel skin (smells like ass when new, but fits great) and T-mobile anti-smear screen protectors (best I have used, amazingly). Got both cheap cause wifey's an employee.
Also, The snap on BodyGlove case T-mobile sells is twice as much as the gel one I have, and the fit sucks. It actually keeps the keyboard from opening all the way, making it wiggle forward and back.

I would not recommend these. Got 5 for my nexus and they all sucked. Main thing was the screen protector it looked horrible
Don't waste the shipping cost there horrible. Very poor quality there definitely not cut to fit. You will literally not even use it but just toss it.
still waiting for Bestskinever. its literally the same as the invisible shield though it doesn't come with a spray bottle, squeegee and fancy packaging. and it cost about 1.3 that of invisible shield.
Orderd one.. lets see how they hold up..
Normally buy ZAGG's but their quality has been horrible lately
Hope these are a little better than the cheapo ones on eBay..

On my HD2 it looks great. Installation is the make or break for these. They are like the Zagg ones in feel and quality. i ordered 4 @ $8.85 Basically $2.85 shipping on the 1st one $2.00 for each additional one.
I'm always weary of anything that I have to adhere to my phone.
I wouldnt get them, i mean if they are handing them out for free something is wrong with them... i usually get zagg invisible shield

There is nothing wrong with them. My HD2 full body was free, just pay shipping. They do promos all the time on new/popular devices. if you pick a kindle or a laptop or gaming device, they are priced. they do it to get their name out there. these have less texture on the film than zagg does. its smoother in my opinion.
Just got this Stealth Guard In
Hey guys,
I just got this for my G2 and I would have to say that it doesn't protect as much as the BSE or ZAGG skins. IT seems as though their plotter that makes the 2d cuts to fit a 3d object isnt really equipped to do any type of compound curvature. I installed it because well, it's better than nothing until BSE has one.
Installation: Installing this skin is super easy because it doesn't cover any corners or edges.
Coverage: On the front, it covers the whole screen including the black edge and capacitive keys and the plastic area below the track pad.
On the back, it the aluminum batter plate, the flat surfaces of the soft plastic and the spaces above and below the volume key and micro-usb port.
It does not protect ANY corners!
So, if you plan on getting this case, be aware that it will protect your phone from normal scratches involved with placing your phone on its front or back but will not protect the edges sides and corners.
On the front, can I use it as just a screen protector? I want a screen protector, not sure about the full body coverage. I dunno, I just ordered it, guess I'll see how I like it when I receive it. I mean, it was only $2.85 or so, so if I do not like it, it's a non-issue to pitch it and go buy a ZAGG or the T-Mo branded screen protector.
But the main thing I am interested in is screen protection
I had one of these on my nexus and it sucked ass. Also got one for my friends vibrant. Def not worth it. Ill get a zagg for my phone. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Received mine today and installed it. Easy install and looks good. screen protector fits perfect. Only thing is edges are not protected due to the roundness, also the metal around the screen is exposed because of the roundness also I assume.
I got mine in the mail today. I had a really hard time with it. I got it on the battery protector okay, but it doesn't quite fit. One side is too long. It may shrink after drying.
It's wet application and I just could not bring myself to wet down my G2. You also have to squeegee the water out from under the cover once it is installed. I imagined drops of soapy water dropping down into the speaker grill while doing this. I attempted to put the back piece on. It is shaped like a "C" and goes around the battery cover and has a cut out for the camera. I tried and tried and just could not get it to fit right.
I think I will go to T-Mobile tomorrow and just get a screen protector, unless I can find someone to professionally install a full cover. So right now just the battery cover has the Stealth Guard on it. I'm okay with this for now.
I don't usually have trouble with these things, but this is my first wet install. I put a full decal set on my Cliq with no problems at all.... Dry install. It was from skinit.com and I really like it. I included some pictures of my Cliq because I really like the skin and I want to show it off So hopefully they get some in for the G2.

I did say it was easy, but this was my 4th wet install. For example near the speaker i pushed the water away from it. Also before i start to squeegee the water i lay a cloth over the area before i squeegee to absorb excess water. My 1st install was on my G1 which i ordered a stealth guard for as well, the current invisible shield on it is looking beat up.
Don't get the T-Mobile screen protector, its one of those anti smear ones. When its on the screen it makes it lookf pixelated a little and in my eyes, down plays our G2 screen resolution a lot. I would try a clear one from amazon, cheap, easy to install and clear to see through.

Actually I picked one up today and I really like it. I see what you are saying about the pixilation though. But the feel of this thing is excellent! Very smooth under the finger. I was also able to put it on without a single bubble or dust speck underneath. I had one like this for my Cliq and if I remember right the pixilation mostly went away after it was broken in.
I saw a Zagg shields kiosk in my mall when I went to get the screen protector. They were busy so I didn't get any pricing. Maybe after this one wears out I'll go get one professionally installed.

Agreed, I actually like the t-mobile screen protector better than any others I have used. I don't notice any pixelation at all. covers the whole screen perfectly. Seems durable. And it's SO nice not to be constantly wiping smudge marks away like I had to with other protectors.
I'll add this update at the beginning too: but StealthGuards are not great. No where near "full protection" like Zagg or BSE. Maybe if you measure the G2 with the cover you like, you could find a leather case that fits but was intended for another phone.

Otterbox Defender

Best, case, ever. This thing is a beast... Loving it, very good protection, and honestly its not a whole lot more bulky than a commuter.
How do you guys like it compared to the seido active x?
I've never seen one irl, but i don't like the way they look from the pictures
Have you noticed that the built in screen protector doesnt fit flush on the screen resulting in the screen not registering a selection sometimes?

i actually did the oppisite. I returned my impact for a defender, even with the screen problem i still like the defender better. i dont like the feel of the impact and i think the volume/power buttons are more difficult to hit with the impact. im prolly just going to remove the built in screen protector.
My screen protector doesn't sit flush but I notice no issues with sensitivity.

Superclean 2.4 voodoo.. Thanks devs!!
Just wanted to share this story .. 100% true . Was out drinking last night... Was leaving a spot in my buddys jeep and forgot my phone was on the hood still .. We run over it, then the honda behind us runs over it. I get out prepared for heart break ...... The phone is absolutely perfect still. I know what you're thinking , how is that possible... I dunno, devine intervention maybe haha . All I know is that this case plus zag shield = indestructible.
I'm not one to embellish stories... Just thought I would let you know the otter box thing isn't all hype.
Edit: jumped the gun. I have the commuter case... So take that for what its worth haha its even cheaper . So I can only imagine this ones magic powers

I think that may be my problem, i have my own screen protector attached to the screen and then this one on top of it..
I have a film style screenprotector as well
whats the difference between the commuter and the defender ..I have the commuter and I had the impact and hated it
i am going to get a new case now and what should i get the commuter or defender everyone seems to hate the impact
I recently got the defender..... way to big and the sylicon shell always pops off on the sides. I got it for 30 on Amazon so I couldn't resist, but Im sending it back Monday and having it replaced with the impact case

I need a new case with a kickstand (i watch a lot of movies on planes) and a belt fastener. Anyone have a good one that works? Sorry if this is the wrong place.
The otterbox defender comes with a holster that u can lock the belt clip open and use it as a kickstand. Its really big though.
sent from my fascinating fascinate eating delicious froyo.
I just ordered the impact. Why does everyone seem to hate it so? Looks cool in the pics.. I don't need much protection as the phone is normally in my hand or next to my pillow poised to wake me up and be in my hand again haha
Sorry is this for the samsung fascinate?
in samsung fascinate section, in fascinate accessorries...yes..its for the samsung fascinate..
EDIT: Im an ass
I ordered the commuter case from amazon ($23) and realtek screen protectors day after getting my phone and they've been great the couple months I've had it. I was going to get the impact but after reading all reviews about it being a lint magnet I changed my mind. I'm glad I did, just the little bit of silicon exposed on the commuter attracks lint enough that every few days it needs a good wipe down.

Best screen protector

who uses a screen protector and what is the best one?
Ive had this one on my phone since early December and no complaints or problems. Highly recommend it. http://cgi.ebay.com/3x-LCD-Screen-P...Accessories&hash=item27bcad8c90#ht_500wt_1139
I usually go to RadioShack. They have cut to fit ones, but don't use the "Wright Right" ones, as they suck, MAJORLY. They scratch way too easily, and have removable film on only one side. I prefer the kind that has removables on both sides. Basically, I peel off the back, then apply, and there is another film sheet on the top that I can keep on while I use a credit card to pour on the pressure to apply, then remove that upper layer film and have a pristine, beautifully applied screen protector. Oh yeah...
You don't really have to have one.. this screen is unscratchable. I never have used one and there is not a single mark. I personally like to take a pair of scissors to it as hard as I can to show off to friends. But do as you please. Lol

Unscratchable my a$$. I had to take my screen protector off for 3 days and it definitely got scratched.
If you keep it in a pocket, sand (quartz) can scratch it.
i had one for my moment and the problem i had with that was that when i would drag my fingers across the screen it would slide smoothly, it was jumpy that was a zagg screen protector just wondering if there was something better or if they are all created equally
I have an extremeguard.com shield on mine, not terribly happy with it, I've had zagg shields and bse shields and they where pretty similar. So I would probably recommend one of those over the extreme guard.

Its like $20 and if you get it at a mall kiosk they'll apply it for you. It also has an unlimited lifetime warranty. So if the protector gets scratched, if it peels up/comes off you can take it back and they will give you another protector and only charge couple dollars to apply the new one.
Can't beat it.

I just got a cheap $1 3 pack from amazon, I figured I could use them while I looked around for some better ones. Turned out they were better than I thought. I can't even tell I have a screen protector, and I have 2 spares although a lot of people said that they sucked because they would leave bubbles, but if you've ever applied screen protectors you know that the bubbles are human errors and not the products fault. And for the price why not try them out. But whatever you do DO NOT get that crap wright protect from sprint, those just suck. In case anyone was wondering yes they were cut out, even came with a little card and cloth.
I work in a sprint store, and I ended up ordering the $1.49 anti-glare protectors on ebay.
For one; they are way cheaper than even my employee discount on the Write Right brand 3 pack, and two; they cover the entire front bezel.
They are awesome, go on smooth, and I like that the matte finish makes it smoother to use the screen than the naked gorilla glass. (I'm not worried about scratches as much as the feel of using the screen - big reason I hate the Invisible Shield protectors.)
I still actually like the ones we sell in the store, and I've put on a lot of protectors for customers, and these almost always go on really well with no bubbles, and no need for a squeegee (meaning no need for the top plastic cover.) Some people really like the privacy anti-glare protector that comes in it, but not really a good idea if you want to use it for GPS (unless you have the phone pointed directly at you.)
The write right brand aren't a bad purchase, but to be honest, you could go with the ones in the link above, and get a better product for cheap from a great US seller.
zagg's are probably some of the worst and most overpriced screen protectors. try ghost armor
You can try stealth shieldz there nice cheaper then zagg. Tho zagg is on ebay right now 5 dollars a pop for the kit. also xtream guard is a sweet protector too. All those are worth checkin out.
Sometimes the cheap ass ones work pretty good.

[Review] Seidio Active w/kickstand (White)

Alright. So, impressions first.
I've used Seidio Active cases on all of my phones since my original Incredible (quite a few devices). I love them. It was a no-brainer to get one for my One X. I hadn't ever used one of the kickstand models, so this is a first for me.
First off, the case is great. Very well designed, feels really really good in the hand. It gives the physical buttons (power, volume) a better feeling, makes them easier to use. I know some people had issues with the power button being a little too recessed, so this should remedy the issue a little.
It looks great. I got the glossed white, and I have to say, if you got the white One X, this is definitely the way to go. Really accentuates the overall look of the device, matches nicely.
The case should definitely prevent a lot of damage from drops. The silicon layer allows you to put it down face first without it resting on the screen, and the hard shell gives it good protection on the edges and corners. It also lifts the phone off of the camera lens.
The kickstand. This is kind of meh, to be honest. It is advertised as a metal kickstand, but honestly it feels pretty flimsy. It does support the phone on its side, but you cannot set it up vertically (like you can with the Thunderbolt). I've honestly not used the kickstand much. I don't use my phone for watching stuff very often, and even less often do I need to rest it that way. It can't be charged while the kickstand is out since the charging port is covered.
Another gripe about the kickstand is that it puts a little bulge on the back of the case. You can't really tell on the site, but it juts out a little. Kind of awkward, kind of throws off the minimal look to it. Not a huge deal though. I did contact Seidio and they said they have no plans to develop the Active case without a kickstand for the One X. So it is what it is.
Overall, it is a great case. If you are looking for solid protection with minimal bulk, this is definitely for you. I was actually really surprised how thin the device stays with the case on. Thanks to the hard shell the case doesn't make it difficult to pocket, since the silicon layer isn't what contacts the inside of the pocket (if that is an issue for you).
I'd definitely say it is worth it. Some will love and use the kickstand probably, others will likely be indifferent. I could live without it. But you can't beat the look or the feel, or the peace of mind it brings. Recommended!
Pictures! Apologies for...the space sheets. And the various books on psychology. The general cleanliness of the background. Haha.
Okay, it won't let me upload them to here. Too big I guess. Idk. Here's a link to my public Dropbox folder with the pictures in it.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2mwqek85ez80rqn/OR8BfO1rlj
looks nice
tad thick for my taste but nice none the less
Hmm... I really like the Kickstand. I purchased the platinum version of the seidio surface case from best buy and it lacks the kickstand. Will probably return it and get the surface case with the kickstand instead. All in all, Thanks for the Pics!
I have really been considering this case. It seems really nice. The only thing that has me not wanting a case on this phone is I'm worried it will detract from the ergonomics of the screen. The lip around the screen looks like it will make it more difficult to use the edges of the screen.

I got both this one and the Surface case at the same time so I could compare them. I have to say that I absolutely love the Surface case, but was not a fan of the active with kickstand. The Active has that awkward bulge in the back where the kickstand is, and I just didn't like the look and fit on the phone. The Surface, in my opinion, is just about perfect. It fits great over my Zagg screen protector, and it is very minimalistic and i think it actually helps maintain the phone's natural good looks! If you haven't tried the Surface case, give it a try! ( There's a thread on here somewhere with pictures of the Surface case... I'll try to find it and post a link.)

I get the surface cases for every phone I buy. I have to have a clip and the surface case is the best option for me. It doesn't add a lot of bulk but still feels protected. I was glad that Best Buy got the platinum case in for the HOX really quick. Identical to the surface case but 10 bucks cheaper.

Review of Active w/ kickstand
I've had my Active w/ kickstand for a couple of days. I really like the case. I got the blue version. The blue is darker and has a slight metallic tint. I think it looks better than the pictures seidio has posted online. The rubber skin makes the buttons easier to press, and has a great tactile feel. This is great for the power button, which usually took me a couple of tries without the case. I'd prefer the volumes weren't as easy to press, but not a big deal. The kickstand works well for me, but the charging port is at the bottom, when the kickstand is out. So you can't charge and use the kickstand at the same time. The edges of the screen are easy to use, unless you use the advanced setting in chrome that puts the menu button on the side. Also the lip, can interfere with your screen protector. I had to readjust mine to make sure it didn't line up with the edge of the lip, otherwise the lip tends to push the edge of the screen protector up.
Hope that helps, anyone considering this case.
Confused
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-CSK3HT...LRRI/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1339456253&sr=8-8
On Amazon, Seidio claims that this case fits both the AT&T One X and the International One X. Does it indeed fit both, or just ours, or just the International? I need to buy a case, and I would prefer one with a kickstand. If anyone can tell me if the one on Amazon fits, that would be great. It would also be really helpful if you posted a link to a case for the AT&T One X that offers superior protection to the Seidio case, but also has a kickstand, but ideally I would like to order the Seidio for the AT&T One X. Sorry to be so demanding, but I won't take this phone out of my house until I get a case, and I really want to show it off at school
It does fit..i have the one for the international and it fits snuggly on my xl

Just bought this in black, the exoskeleton idea is cool. My adreama case always felt like it works scratch it when removing.
Hail Cobra!
I've always liked seidio's products. Especially their active line cases. the AT&T rep was trying to get me to buy their $50 POS hard case. I didn't, the plastic feel just isn't good for me. Plus also the seidio holster is a lot better.
I got the case in red. I think it looks great. The kickstand does feel a little cheap but it ain't bad. I can live with it When propped up, it does its job quite well. My only complaint about the case is that because the edges of the screen on this phone are not raised, the case rubs up against the edge of my screen protector and it keeps lifting it then I push it back down. I may have to try to find a screen protector that has some stickiness to it.

@ChongoDroid, where did you buy it from? Anyone has them locally in Vancouver?

Zagg up the screen and it should stay down just fine.

Unfortunately not, Amazon.ca was the best it got. Wireless wave has some gel cases and possibly even otterbox cases. These however are not anywhere in stores

One side note on the Surface is the fact that when using the kickstand, the USB port is underneath, preventing you from charging it at the same time
But still, it's the best fit for the looks of the phone and protects the camera so you don't have to worry about setting it down roughly. my 2 cents
Have the same case but in black. Seems like it will def protect the phone. Feels good, haven't used the kickstand yet but will hold the phone up. Fairly easy to install and remove. Thought about the Surface case but wanted a case just for when I'm in the garage or outside at the beach or something so went with some extra protection. Rest of the time just use the phone as is with a screen protector. Like the design of the phone so don't care to have a case on it all the time.

My $0.02 comparison of Skinomi and XtremeGuard

So, I've had my N4 since the beginning of December and since then I've gone back and forth between the two skins. I've been using the XtremeGuard skin for about a month now. Before that I was using the Skinomi full body protector, even the sides. Both were wet applications, but the Skinomi came with its own spray bottle and applicator tools. The XtremeGuard came came in an envelope and instructions only: Basically, put drop of dishwashing soap in a small bowl of water, then dunk the skin and apply on the phone. The end result was a great fit, but.... the skin ended up being too sticky for my own taste. The price was unbelievable cheap. I just couldn't get away from the stickyness and of course the extreme orange-peel effect. But, I had already purchased a second set as a "backup" just in case I needed a set. Like I said, it was very cheap, like almost $9, shipped.
Now, the Skinomi was much more pricier, but I'm sure it was worth it. Like I said, a spray bottle, squeege, and large black felt wipe with the Skinomi logo. The front and back application was a breeze, like most front and back screen protector applications. The little trick to get the skin to stay down over the edges, or curved corners for that matter is the same: to get the curved sides and corners to stick down you have to wait a few minutes for the skin that is going to touch the screen/phone to dry up a bit. It needs to become sticky in order to stay down. I wait another minute or two and keep trying to keep the edges down. Eventually the skin stays down on the curved edges. For the front skin, I lined up the top perfectly, and the bottom is a little over 1 mm from completely covering the front. The back is even a better fit, less than 1 mm missing from all four edges. Really great coverage. Now the sides, eh, it's a ***** to get the curved corners. The pieces are long to apply and keep slipping. Eventually I got the corners to stay down, but over time from using the phone the corners would start to come up and then collect lint. I think I've given up on protecting the sides and corners that I just ordered the stock bumper and will use that to protect the edges before they get more dinged. Now that it's been 24 hours, WOW! I am very impressed. I can barely feel that there is a skin on top. Yes, it feels a little stick, but I have to put emphasis on "little". It's nowhere near sticky as the Xtreme. And the finish! WOW! The only problem is my oily fingers. I guess that's what the skinomi wipe is for?
That just my 2 cents. oh, btw, the Skinomi was very very little orange-peel look, and it's almost like a mirror. The best skin I've ever used so far (Xtreme, Skinomi, and Zagg).
Had an extreme guard on my s3, didn't like it just like you mentioned, it felt "sticky".... But it is very durable. Also don't like the wet application.

I personally thought xtreme guard was garbage. There's a night and day quality difference between skinomi and xtreme guard. You really do get what you pay for here. You can even see it in the packaging.

I didn't know. Please forgive me. I didn't know. I was lured in by the cheap price, but I've seen the light!
Just ordered the skinomi one.. I also debated to order XtremeGuard but saw the reviews weren't so good.
I'm going to try and take a different approach and try to let the sides heal and for all the bubbling and haze to subside, then I will put my bumper on, hopefully that should eliminate the issue of the edges raising up?
I bought a Skintomi way back for my Galaxy Nexus just randomly because I was having so much trouble sorting out which brand was worth anything from all the conflicting reviews, and boy am I glad I did. It is still awesome. I liked it so much I ordered the full body model for my Nexus 4. I got a great deal from a guy on ebay, I think the front cover model was like 8 bucks and the full body Nexus 4 model was less than 17.
I have to agree with the stickiness of wet applied screen protectors.
I've only used xtremeguard for for my N4 cuz I didn't really see a need to buy another/ different screen protector afterwards, so can't say anything about the others. For the first couple of days after application (like a week or so), it was almost impossible to push your thumb across the screen (dragging thumb across the screen fared a little better). After a while however it became significantly easier to use the touchscreen because the oil on my finger started to make the screen more slippery, but no where near the slipperiness of a dry install. I can easily swipe on the default keyboard but it could be better.
Right now I'm contemplating whether to spray some dust repellent on the screen protector; playing air hockey on the kitchen table is a breeze after spraying some.
Just my $0.02
N4 skinomi are hit and miss. The sides do not stick very well and lift up easy. The solutions tends to leave large bubble markings between the screen and the skin. After a month, the skin has lots of scar indentations, like worms or ants traveling in sand leaving trails. Much like those you create when pressing down too hard when applying the skin with the squeegee. Any cover or case that touches the top will lift push or cause the skin to bubble.
I've use skinomi on several devices, first one that's not "good". Same results on 3 replacements. Gonna try another brand.
I've used xtremeguard on other devices and they've worked well too. Loved it on my s3 . After some cure time it's not as sticky as when applied. But black specs in envelope and lately the material of the skin has changed. So it's quality has been randomly lacking.

Anti static spray? Wonder how that will affect the touch screen.
Do people really care this much about screen protector brands? I bought one generic one from eBay and it does all I want it to: keep my screen clean.

No, brand should not matter, but quality does. There is a list of personal requirements that I have and Skinomi (so far) meets those requirements, whereas others do not. That's not to say a cheaper cost product is better or as good. I have yet to try Zagg for my N4, but I have used the Zagg HD in the past. I want to try out BSE see how well that works.

Yeah of course we do. Different brands make a huge difference. Spend the 8 bucks on a Skintomi from ebay and try it for a few weeks and you'll see what we mean.
I ordered some skins from xtreme guard, the lower prices got me too, shipping to canada was around $3 which is awesome . Still waiting to get them so I have no reviews yet. Used BSE before, I think they are great, but getting so expensive. now buying for a 3rd phone (waiting for 2nd rma).
