Hy to all,
my Nexus S one day decide to not power on at all!
SYMPTOMS:
- black screen
- power button doesn't do anything (also phone not vibrate)
- no button combination boots to download mode
- no charghing indication when connected to charger or USB
- no detection in the computer when connected to the USB
After some days without battery, the problem persists:
NEW SYMPTOMS:
- when plugged on computer usb port, Windows 7 start to find Sec S5pc110 Test B/D driver
In a formum of Bada (I now is not my phone) Samsung support tells that can be the bootloader broken!!
Someone can help me to solve my problem!
Thenks in advance, and sorry for my bad english
PS: my problem is similar to the one described in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=882189
Well, did you do anything to it before this started? Anything like flash some new rom, or the OTA or similar?
There was another dude a few days ago who reported his phone was bricked and described similar symptoms to yours, but it turned out his issue was just a totally discharged battery that wouldn't start taking a charge until he forced it with some homemade 9-volt battery thing. You might try a different battery if you can obtain one.
The only other thing, besides warranty repair, might be to get the 301k resistor jig and use Odin to flash a new bootloader image to the phone, per this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947950
Mate,
have you had any progress in unbricking your phone. I too am in the sam state with my Nexus S... unfortunately I can get this phone back to USA & when I spoke to the Samsung helpline the crooks simply refused to help since the instrument is outside of USA.
I'm in the same situation - did you get anywhere with yours ?

Hi guys
I've had the Sensation for about 3months now, and suddently yesterday it stopped working. It wont charge, no LED's and wont start at all. There have not been any waterdamage, drops or rough use.
I've read a lot concerning similar problems on this forum, but none of the solutions has worked for me.
What I can tell is that I have tried after searching the forums:
- SDK, ADB and try to reboot the device via USB-connection (device not found)
- Win7 (32bit) can't recognise the phone (asking for drivers which are not found in HTC Sync, QHSUSB_DLOAD)
- Trying to enter recovery mode (Volume Down + Power up)
- Charge the battery overnight
- Charge the battery with a plastic-piece covering the two middle pins on the battery (As suggested in a thread)
- Battery out for 1min and then put it back in and start up
Neither of these worked, so are there any other good ideas? Or is it bricked?
Hi guys,
i have exactly the same problem, already have tried all of these solutions, nothing have worked for me... Please help.
PS:sometimes my screen lights up <black totally, but lights up>... when plugged into usb cable or charger... but not now anymore...
I have bought this phone in china, there is S/N but i guess that here in UK i cannot do anything about it since HTC's warranty is not global...

Also keep note of which recovery you are working off of. There have been charging issues with certain recoveries.
Yeah, I read several threads and posts about recovery-issues... Unfortuantly I cant check what version I got myself, as it wont start up at all :/

I would suggest to go to a store that sell's the Sensation and ask if you can test one of their batteries out to see if your phone has either a battery issue or something else. If you are stateside, of course try a tmobile store, but without knowing where you are located, this is a hypothetical at this point.
I know I had an issue with my Nexus1 not booting up from a kernel I had flashed. But I noticed my charging led was flashing three times and then stop. I researched this here on xda and found that it just needed to be put into recovery again somehow. I ended up just plugging the phone into the wall and remove the battery. Try to power it on there and then reinsert the battery and try the power + volume down button. That time it booted for me. But again, this was for my Nexus1 not with this phone.
same happened to me, sent to HTC and had main board replaced, lcd, flex cable etc. the driver the phone looks for is the equip HTC use to jtag... I am not sure if this is a hardware failure or boot corruption...but even though it was s-off via alpha rev it was that damaged they didnt complain... i say hardware failure. the thing is even when i have s-off i didnt change the rom. I have a riff box on order so if this happens again we can surely see if this failure is software or hardware..
Yeah, do what kpjimmy said; go to a store where Sensation's are sold and ask if you could use a battery to test it out to see if it's bricked. It it's not, you'll need a new battery (try getting one for free from HTC, citing warranty. I did it with my battery cover). If it doesn't work, you're mostly likely bricked, unfortunately. Refer to anarchy's post for more info on that side of things
Same problem here yesterday.. can't charge. But phone heat. I just pull out battery, n put back.keep repeated that. Finally can on. U use custom kernal?

Havn't had the time to really do any custom ROM or the like, so the phone was all original from the factory...
This is about a Galaxy S3 I747M Rogers Canada.
Never tried to root, unlock or install any custom ROM. Worked very well.
One day I just noticed is turned off and never start anymore. Additional symptoms:
Is not booting, not switching to recovery or download mode, no any sign of life.
The battery is tested and is charged. When plugged to charger without battery installed the LED goes red (or orange). If battery installed at this time LED goes off in short time.
No any activity if Vol +, Home, Power ON buttons are pressed at the same time.
If connected to a Windows 7 PC, device manager is identifying the phone as QHSUSB_DLOAD device.
Questions:
Are all of these signs the phone motherboard is defective? Is there a way to diagnose a hardware failure, broken motherboard?
Is there a way to boot from a micro SD card and reload whatever is broken: bootloader, ROM, firmware?
I'm not an Android software or hardware specialist, I'm a controls specialist and have some skills in electronics.
Any advice or solution is welcome! Thank you!
John
Hi. My friend gave me Lenovo A850 device which is obviously bricked.
There is no action after power on, any vol and power. Only reaction is after connecting usb a red light lights up.
I tried tricks with connecting this to PC with and w/o battery with no success.
About two days ago i think (or it is just my imagination) i found a method of resurrecting this device with USB Jig used in Samsung devices but i cannot find it now (history is clear...hm.). Author was writing about connecting USB Jig And leaving phone for about 8 hours and than after connecting to USB it just woke up.
Does any of XDA members knows the post i am looking for or knows method of ressurecting this device?
What does this red led mean? charging? Or it's the Red light of death?
Thanks in advance

Well human breathren, I see thou hath some problem with thy phone. Hast thou consulted a service center?
From my inspection, your phone is resurrectable and (maybe) will work using JTAG method, but before you do that, A red LED light means that your phone can still recover from brick, via software I mean. I do not sure how, but there is.
When i connected JTag pin to ground the device woke up, i installed MTK drivers but after few seconds it just disconnected. I dont know how can i keep device online.

EDIT:
https://1drv.ms/f/s!AocRcJTpZWyngtAxmrUTJP3mVNMfQw <- thiss my collection. tools and firmwares.
If You have DL error after flash (on Lenovo spashscreen) You need to:
1. Download preloader (and only preloader) from Stock 1231
2. Download all except preloader from Lenovo_A850i.
If you only need to refresh device, download complete Lenovo_A850i.
Be sure to check DA/DL All With Checksum.
Hi i tried to root my phone and got it bricked. I already tried lots of methods to unbrick but only got it worse, at first it was on a soft brick boot loop i used a tool to unbrick and when it was about to finish the app crashed and closed, my phone went dark and died right there. Now when i plug it my pc sees it as "QHSUSB_BULK" and i cant enter to the download mode or anything else (i did some research and find out that my phone doesn't have recoverty mode). I don't know what to do, if anyone can help me i'll be very greatfull.
To try to root my phone i followed this steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62119694)
To try to Unbrick my phone for the first time i followed this steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/p-restore-recovery-to-stock-tool-h950-t3171550 (Total failure)
Then i followed this: http://www.modifyandroid.com/stock-roms/lg/how-to-flash-stock-rom-for-lg-g-flex-2/ (Used normal flash mode and app crashed so i got HARDBRICKED)
Sorry for my english it's a bit rusty
only solution for this....

Maybe somebody will be need that.
Lats time i get to repair Lg G Flex 2 (H955) it was one time working one time not (singing of deth-no reaction).
By disconnecting of battery pluging the charging cable and making shortage on one pin (round one) neared abowe batery socket with - (the plate securing emmc and other stuffs) the phone become alive (sometimes still didnt give the sign of life or was totaly no detection of the phone by pc).
My Laptop sometimes detect him like normal device sometimes like quallcom 9008 device (the most time quallcom) i was in mining that is software problem (from one side will but someting for me was not right).
Also my motherboard was kind of damage from down side of mainboard are 2 capiticors wicht some kind of chip with 4 legs (i dont know the name of it) but is placen on downstairs from left side (i replaced it with other one). After that phone give more singing of life.
I was looking still (because of strange behaviour of phone and switching off).
I get idea to look for emmc of the phone i clean the black stuff aroud that and i give some flux so i make rehot of that chip in temperature of 320 degrees of C with hot air station.
After that i make the phone in one peace and gess what the phone become alive (no porblems with and the client didnt loos the data from the phone) also was some problems to get the phone alive because of not charged battery (so before that all solution please make sure that your battery is 100% ok beacuse sometimes the battery looks ok and is charging but happen that is still damaged).
Also before please check the usb charging socket (and replace it if its damaged) beacuse also the system of phone also switch off the data ways of the usb because of shortages in socket (when the phone is ok and you make it alive and still usb data connection didnt work with your pc use repair app from the store for your android system version) after that everything must work ok.
So in my situation all the phone is working correctly and caused problem of the phone was wrong connection of emmc memory to the board.
Greetz for all.
Hi - wondered if anyone can help.
As above ive got a blackscreened phone - ive got cart blanche with this phone...(its a workmates phone, hes bought a new one) so i can do anything i want (if anyones got any drastic options im up for that!). Apparently the history is that the phone was behaving as if the battery was faulty to the point it died. Ive replaced the battery but the phone is still dead. Plugging the phone in the laptop i see the bulk usb driver popping up. Some time ago i did recover a oneplus phone in the same state using a gui tool that reloaded the image back on loading on the separate images one by one....can something like that be done for this.
Cheers to anyone that has a go!

If by "bulk usb driver" you mean QUSB_BULK_CID:xxxx_SN:xxxxxxxx, the phone has an unrecoverable hardware failure. See the thread below.
[FIX] Pixel 3 QUSB_BULK_CID:xxxx_SN:xxxxxxxx
Hi, I have a Pixel 3 that won't turn on, won't charge, won't get into recovery mode, and gets recognized as QUSB_BULK_CID:xxxx_SN:xxxxxxxx when connected to a pc. I am an ignorant regarding phones, flashing, etc... Is there any way of getting...
