Beta testers needed, planning on mesmerise ultimate release

If you havnt seen my rom then the link is in my sig. I am thinking about porting this to you mesmerise people, it will take some time remaking the mods I will get there, I need about 5-10 beta testers, agreeing that it might not work. I only have a galaxy i9000 hence I need a few beta testers. Reply to this topic and the first 10 will be chosen. Peace out.
Ps: do you have a leaked froyo firmware?

It's not the busiest forum on xda..they will show, just give them time

I'd like to beta test but I'm in school and stuff so I can only test things that at least mostly work, like data and SMS and such I have to have. As long as it is mostly stable I would love to help you test.
As for Froyo, we do not have a leak anywhere.
I looked around in the i9000 forums a bit and if this rom works out good then it would be awesome if you could also port a couple of the themes from over there, I see a lot of really nice ones, specifically the matte minimal one and gingermix are both really awesome looking.

six in, i will allow four more and thats it, My Beta roms will not be like whether data mms works, it will be either a soft brick/boot loop which can easily be fixed or a fully functioning system so yeah, its two extremes lol

No lol, thats just a mod. Its a froyo based rom, thats why i was asking for a froyo leak, but i guess not, I will try to port my mods to Eclair, but it will be a mission which im ready to take.

Beta testing begins...

I have a few tricks up my sleeve and I plan on releasing what I have been working on sometime over the next few days as I have tested this and seems to be stable enough for public release but still want a couple testers to try this out for themselves for the reason my phone is set up different than your phone and just want to make sure there are no issues on others devices as well...once Elijah tests this with his showcase to ensure Compatability I will post his findings asap...as far as mesmerize users this is completely stable as far as I know...this is basically going to edit most of your system libs those of you who understand what that means get ready...this ish is amazing!

I have currently ran into some issues...somehow with jit enabled it "leaks" as my good friend calls it...which is causing for unstablness...we are working on fixing it seems the more memory would for dalvik and jit would be a fix but working on the issue but other than the random fc issue with the leakage were hitting 30's mflops easy...just alot of random **** going on though which is to blame on the leak...one time you might hit 30 the next 17...trying to get the stability And good speed out of this before anyone else touches it...my friend/roommate just so happens to be one of the people who develop this **** and he is my mentor...also my girlfriend brother lol...I should have this figured out by tonight sometime for the beta testers release baked. And just a little hint what this is actually doing is making make-shift drivers for our Samsung phones into compatible HTC drivers for all those amazing speeds seeming we have hummingbird processors we need to therefore look at the methods the processor is using to make a compiler in this all is what the end result shall be....;-) shhhh! You didn't hear this from me...

There are many other threads that contain the icon pack for the android 7 theme. All this is my custom icons for mdpi devices with my own custom dimensions for the android 7 theme. So this is my work just the method of applying it isn't. I did nothing wrong bro, I learned my lesson already.

this was done back in sept 2010 found here
and i even created an "ICON" pack found here back in sept..
its been done many times over and probably doesn't hold much interest anymore.. but to start your OP off with "Kifno's LauncherPro Theme" isn't the right way to go about it..
also.. you could use some pointers in creating your icons, cause most of them either look stretched or squeezed..

The thread I mention has many people posting their icons. Currently yours is the last post on that thread. It says you are almost done with your icons.
Now... you made a new thread to show off your work and separate it from the 30 page thread full of other peoples contributions.
I think you need to ease back on how proud of yourself you are. This seems to be kifnos icon set for a theme, more than kifnos theme. Just like your roms... they aren't your roms, they are your mods to existing roms.
So far you aren't a themer or a dev, yer just a modder. A modder who seems really full of himself, who makes long posts telegraphing his long term plans to anyone who will read it.
Your skills are being overshadowed by your boastful self-importance.

Kifno, I think you should try not to spread yourself too thin. This forum needs thinking and enthusiasm and will reward creativity - but there are too many informed people to try and embellish ones creations.
It's quality not quantity that counts most. Focus and let your work be your voice and not your voice.
People here are actually trying to help you with developing and with life in general. You don't have to be "the best", be your best and just relax and focus.
Don't take your ball home- just play smart. And whatever you do, don't try and sell your story on these threads and don't come off as a victim- you will lose respect, not gain it. You're young and have a lot of time.
Also, don't break your neck doing head spins.

Any news on ROMs??

Has anyone heard anything about Liberty coming to our phones or whatever happened with Darkcharge? I know team gummy joined up with the liberty guys to bring liberty to our phones but haven't heard anything else about it. I can only assume that Darkcharge is no longer continuing development for us since it seemed to get bashed (for a lack of better words) upon release.

imnuts is working hard on Infinity, but he's somewhat of a perfectionist *and* he's having to redo his work on EP4, so it's slow to release. If you hang out in IRC, he apparently posts links to the latest beta build occasionally, though he forbids those builds from being distributed any father.

yup, imnuts is still around (just not on xda, rootz/irc only)...and its a slower go for infinity now since retrokidd went back to the iphone and got rid of his charge

source would affect kernels and aosp only...touchwiz based roms dont require it in any way

nope i just like to pop in on other vzw phones and post where i see fit
and i dont really make themes any more, just roms...and occasionally themes to go with those roms (inc2, fascinate)

personally im not upgrading soon (cant justify 300 bucks around the holidays)...but probably whatever big sammy/htc phone drops in late q1 or so
i *think* sbrissen, imnuts, and omj will get gnexus's though

That's the biggest peeve I have with phones today. A new phone drops, gets worlds of praise for 3 weeks (figuratively of course...or not?) And then something new gets released. It almost seems like the term "flagship" doesn't apply to smartphones.

ICS on its way for Charge

Looks like imnuts and jt are putting their heads together to get ICS kernel to boot on Charge.
I pledge $20 as soon as a working ICS rom is out. Please support their work.
Not impressed with GNEX. I plan to stay on my Charge for a while.
Update 2/14/12: I'm not holding my breath for ICS on Charge anymore. Looks like Samsung is holding back some critical pieces. If I had time, I'd work on it myself. Since I don't, I have no right to complain. Those of you who are interested in tracking progress, please follow the link below:

This is great news since I just got a used charge. So far not as good 4G reception as my girlfriends Bionic but it has a nicer screen and interface IMO. I look forward to possibly overclocking this thing a little too?

Btw on rootzwiki there are sometimes different things and tid bits of info.... Too the op if you really are already behind it, meaning ics, just donate because the work the devs put it including themers, testers, rom developers,and tweakers is worth it even if we don't get it... I donate sparingly because I'm currently unemployed and somewhat frugal when it comes to giving free money, but his work and others has inspired me to do things myself, like theming... It's not for everyone as any aspect it's time consuming like people wouldn't believe, but it's satisfying... Time = $$$$$ so if you want to maybe push him along and show him the charge is worth his time and others drop a donation.... Don't say well if you do this, when almost every dev for android is worth more than just a few empty promises of donations.... Just donate and they will provide you with information, help, tweaks, colorful and some not so colorful themes, and roms for your pleasure.... I'm sure they get slack for the time put on by there irl friends and family ad I just started and Im already getting it.... So again just donate.... Empty promises never inspired anyone...

Can you please let us know how is the rom working?

Home button and camera doesn't work on the ICS build. It APPEARS much faster than 2.3.5 (a lot less stuttering for me but I wasn't playing with any special builds there....)
the installer.zip auto reformats you to ext4.
It shows extreme promise for an alpha build IMHO.
