Hi All,
I am new to the Android development scene, and was wondering if somebody could help guide me in the direction where I could download a set of specific API's for Samsung devices. The API's that I'm seeking are the ones mentioned in a recent article published on networkworld referring to 90 new api's to boost mobile management (I can't paste the URL in here due to me being a n00b in the forum).
Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

Doesn't the Android SDK include the Samsung specific files as "third-party addon"
Alternatively goto opensource.samsung.com and click on mobile > mobile phone and download the sources for your model

Hi All!
Well I am starting to get into app development for Android as well as other things as I progress through school. I downloaded and extracted the adt bundle from developer.android.com and am very confused. I know that every android device out there is not ready or capable to be running Android 4.2.2 as case in point my Galaxy Note 2 running 4.1.1. How do I download and access those other versions of the Android SDK then because I want my apps to be able to be ran on multiple devices. Please if you can offer me some assistance I would gladly appreciate it.

correct me if im wrong, but when you are choosing details about the application you can set the minimum software which is compatible and the highest? So set 2.2 and 4.2? then it covers all versions.. unless I've misunderstood your question
you can open android sdk manager. and you select all version sdk and download the sdk and install it.
Hi there,
I am working with a company that developed an SDK that offers an easy to deploy end to end encryption for mobile app developers and wanted to get some of you guys to test it with us (we are out of beta now). So what is the best place for me put a post about it?
Thanks,
M

Hello
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Each device has its peculiarities that should be noticed before installing a O.S. Even, as a learning playground, you will surely need to experiment with your own device. Given your report, we could not determine the Manufacturer & Model of your device in order to better approach your request.
I will have to ask you to create a new Thread where you could be as detailed as possible regarding your devices information and needs.
Nice regards and good luck.

Hi guys I know this is a very simple post but since I'm new to forums I thought I would just start with this.
So let's get straight to the point you will only need to download two apps to get root access and have ultimate control over your Android device these apps are all you need:
•Root all devices = I'm a new user and can't post links so just download in play store.
•Supersu =
I'm a new user and can't post links so just download in play store.
•And that's it all you need and if you guys want to help me code a exposed module contact me @0823254209 on whatsapp thank you.

rooting any android device will be different than rooting a certain device. every device differs, and they are made by different manufacturers. rooting a nexus will be different then rooting any samsung, for example.

Sent from my GT-I9190 using XDA Free mobile app
Greetings All
Hope everyone is well.
My question is: what is a good website for learning the Android operating system online?
The reason I ask this is my searches turn up websites for writing apps to operate within the Android environment. Or how to replace accidentally wiped OS on users devices.
I want to be able to go inside the operating system and add/remove code, modify things, and investigate for things like carrierIQ etc.
Can someone please point me in a good direction (other than learning Java language)? Thanks in advance-
GD
PS my apologies if this is in the wrong forum etc
Anyone??
Ive been searching so Im not asking anyone to do my work for me. But if you know of good sites with tutorials re the android operating system please contribute-
Thanks

https://forum.xda-developers.com/coding
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
(Next time ask questions there ^^^)

(To learn how to ask and search here , as well as a list of very useful threads)
Happy Modding
