Greetings All
Hope everyone is well.
My question is: what is a good website for learning the Android operating system online?
The reason I ask this is my searches turn up websites for writing apps to operate within the Android environment. Or how to replace accidentally wiped OS on users devices.
I want to be able to go inside the operating system and add/remove code, modify things, and investigate for things like carrierIQ etc.
Can someone please point me in a good direction (other than learning Java language)? Thanks in advance-
GD
PS my apologies if this is in the wrong forum etc
Anyone??
Ive been searching so Im not asking anyone to do my work for me. But if you know of good sites with tutorials re the android operating system please contribute-
Thanks

Thanks for your reply .........
i will try learn that .......... and how do developers modify a ROM and make a custom ROM ????
This thread will help you to create custom roms
but its only for HTC devices and some other famous phones
I don't know how to add support for galaxy fit
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
Well, You can use the HTC Android Kitchen! In the kitchen, just dont let it change your updater-script to update-script.
All functions of the kitchen will not work as it is actually made for HTC phones. You can deodex your FW, add boot animation support, Change the name of the fw and Compile it!
So is there any similar tool only for samsung devices?
Nope! The HTC android Kitchen is the best option available. Most of it's features Work Man!

I found this playlist on Youtube by MarakanaTechTV which has about 18 videos about android application development. This user has some other videos on how to make custom ROMs and many other which may be useful for developers .
So here is the link for that playlist titles Android Boot camp:

Hello
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Each device has its peculiarities that should be noticed before installing a O.S. Even, as a learning playground, you will surely need to experiment with your own device. Given your report, we could not determine the Manufacturer & Model of your device in order to better approach your request.
I will have to ask you to create a new Thread where you could be as detailed as possible regarding your devices information and needs.
Nice regards and good luck.

Dear all,
and sorry for newbie question but I was not able to find an answer on the internet - mainly due to lack of knowledge regarding the terminology - which words to use for search. Is it rooting, flashing?? Can anybody post a thread where this is solved?
The issue:
I have a chinese cellphone HOMTOM HT16 PRO, Android 6.0 and would like to install few applications (antivirus, tasker and other tools) which I want to be a fixed part of the system = even after the factory reset these applications are not deleted. How this can be done? Or at minimum how this technique is called?
Thank you in advance for any answer and thank you for pation with the lack of language as well technical skills. :good:

What you're asking is quite simple
What you need is root access, and a root app manager such as Titanium Backup.
Methods of gaining root access is device dependent so you'll have to check Google or YouTube for the tools and tutorials for your phone.
If you're able to successfully root your device, then the rest is easy.
I'd advise you to go and do a bit more research on "rooting" though before you proceed. As you can potentially render your device a "brick" if you mess something up.
