1) why not post in the original topic
2) You don't need RTCK see image on the right The lower right of the 6 pins is RTCK you see the copper since nothing is attached.
Any other questions please use the original thread as we are all subscribed to that one.

please help me
i solder all pins without RTCK
problem shown in the picture
tnx

Hi toyoki,
i am not familiar with JTAG Manager for RIFF Box... but i guess it is easy to solve.
Check the setting that i marked in the pic. There must be some other options.
You should use a fixed value for TCK.
Without RTCK attached you should also slow down the clock.
Please use the forum thread ezterry pointed at, to discuss further questions.
You might also ask the guys building RIFF Box for help.
Give 'em some nice greets from XDA-developers!
Cheers,

Totally bricked Qtek 9100

Hi everyone,
First I would like to apologize if I have posted this topic in the wrong section, but I'm not familiar with forums and stuff like that. If so, I beg of you to just move my topic, don't lock it.
Here's my problem now: I have a Qtek 9100 on which I tried about one year ago to install a non-official WM6 ROM. I first installed a WM5 ROM called "Wizard Love" and then installed the WM6 ROM. Since I didn't like the WM6 ROM on my Qtek, I downgraded it back to the WM5 Wizard Love ROM. But I still wanted to install the official WM5 ROM again.
I tried about ten different ROMs, but each says "ERROR [300] UNCOMPATIBLE DEVICE" and won't flash my device. A member of another forum taught me to install a Custom 1.05 ROM via MUN RUU, but he did not specify that this ROM was for G3 (mine was unfortunately a (perfectly CID Unlocked) G4).
So, after flashing the 1.05 ROM, the Qtek freezed on the welcome screen (with a cup of beer). I tried to flash the original ROM then, using the bootloader mode, but I had the same errors as before. Only the 1.05 Custom ROM could be flashed correctly.
Then, I pulled out the battery and put it in again. And now... my device won't turn on at all! I've been looking for a solution all day long on Google and this forum, and I heard about the JTag. But I couldn't find a tutorial that explains it correctly.
Can anyone help me find one or suggest another solution?
Thanks a lot for your precious help! I need my Qtek back alive!
Have a deep read here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Wizard
You´ll find your way!
Good luck,
Thanks, but I've already specified that I cannot access the bootloader, the phone won't turn on at all, it's completely dead. Neither the screen nor the LEDs turn on. The procedures described in your link are only available for phones that do boot at least in bootloader mode.
the only way is by using JTAG, but you have found one of the threads out there already (as I have seen your post there).
no other way possible.
Yes I know... the only problem is, the link points to a russian tutorial.
Do YOU speak russian?

Enough to understand the manual with help from my friend google translate (if I fail to understand something).
But Russian isn't the biggest hurdle, if you don't know how to read the circuit diagram from the wiggler (which is REALLY simple), nor can you build such a simple constriction, how on earth are you going to connect the JTAG ??
(attached a closeup from a 5 x 3.5 mm piece of PCB where JTAG lines are hand soldered to make my case).
Without the proper tools (I personally prefer to use a rework station and a microscope) and the proper experience you won't come far.
This is why HTC service team will replace the mainboard, they aren't even trained to preform a JTAG. (that is only done by the engineers and in factory), I haven't seen a single HTC service manual which discussed JTAG (and I have seen alot of them).
I guess you're right about the difficulty of this operation.
I've already tried to Google Translate the "manual" (which was a forum discussion. Could you give me the link of yours, because from what I've translated, I think I turned out to be on a bad page).
About the circuit, I understood about everything, except the rectangle on the center and what's inside, and the branch in the upper right corner...
Two last questions: Should I connect the Qtek motherboard to the circuit with melted copper strings (like you did)? and then connect the parallel port to the PC and start using H-Jtag?
Thanks for you reply.

rectangle in the middle is a simple 244 buffer, it's an integrated circuit.
Branch Right top is supply.
This probably is a wiggler JTAG.
Regarding the manual, I grabbed it from the same site (am on a different computer now, without access to the files) .
You should be able to Solder the wires to the mainboard (it's not melted copper).
The picture posted above was soldered by hand with a needle soldering-Iron (but I prefer a rework station).
You need some skill to solder, and the right equipment, using the wrong Iron would ruin the board, as you can see in the Pic, all parts are really tiny (the wires eg. are 0.20 mm in diameter!!)

[Q] o2 xda(htc wallaby)microswitch mod

Hello,I was wondering if anybody knows of a mod to bypass the microswitch that is located under the simtray door on my o2 xda (htc wallaby).
I have noticed that the switch as been completely removed and there is know no solder pad to connect another switch to.
so if anybody knows of a way around this (board link, etc) i would be very grateful.
Thank you.
If there is no solder pad, you must determine what connections the switch was using in the first place. If you can find the connections, you can make the bridge. If you can make the bridge, then your battery will think it's closed.
Worst case scenario, as a jimmy-rigged hack, you can use a #2 pencil to draw an electrical contact between the points. You just have to find out where the connection SHOULD go to.
o2 xda microswitch mod
Hello and thank you Adam for the reply.
I have checked and found that where the switch would have been, it would have been grounded when the simtray door was attached (which was missing).
On close inspection tonight i have found that there is a number of components missing or damaged and so i think it maybe a good idea not to waste any more time on it.
Thank you for your good advice.

[Q] [GT-i9020T] Almost repaired after water, but no signal and SIM detected

Hi,
After a water damage I opened my Nexus S [GT-i9020T] and cleaned everything with eletric contact cleaner. Everything is working fine, except for no signal, but the operator name (from SIM) appears in the screen.
I tried with Gingerbread and now with Crossbone 0.2.5, wifi works perfectly.
I cleaned the antenna gold points too, anybody can help to find where could be the problem or sugest replacement parts and where to find?
Thanks a lot,
ticofortes
Sounds like your radio might of gotten damaged also. Try to find stock Odin images for your device and try re-flashing it.

You know those gold pins are nfc right? Radio is down the right side of phone under case(looking at the screen)

mabry, I tried stock image (android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/google_crespo/1ada25375426.signed-soju-ota-189904.1ada2537.zip) and radio still not working.
DarkhShadow, please take a look at the attached image there are some contact points what i think is for radio antena, can you confirm that?
So I think my radio is damage, please where is it located? Where can I buy replacement parts or any alternative method to repair it?
Thanks all!

Looks like you got you picture from the above link, I would take apart to the point I am confident I can put it back together and use warm air blowing over it to dry it out over a day or so.
Contact cleaner may get most of the water out but not all of it. that is what I would do if I was in your position, before buying new parts for it.
Yes Gazoo222, I used this site.
I will try this drying procedure and come back in two days.
Thanks!
Just in case if it don't work, do you think the problem is in SIM card board?
(h t t p : / / guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/fDHYCvcIUepftlOQ.medium)
Or the antenna can be damaged with water too?
Is there any way to diagnose it better?
Thanks all!

they could be, but I think the radio is on the other side because if I cover it with my hand my wifi and phone signal drop a fair bit
You could try asking Adam outlet, ik he's probably poked around Nexus S hardware a fair bit

The antenna uses current and has very little resistance, so yes if it shorts out it could cause damage
Didn't work guys, I'll buy the sim board (link bellow) and replace it, what do you think? Tks!

accidentally broke wifi coax cable head, repairable?

Hello, while trying to repair the screen, i accidentally cut the one head of the wifi antenna cable.
So here come my questions:
First simple noob question, Is this cable two way? Or one way?
If it is one way, i can fix it easily, if not, i think i need a new one. Do you know where i can find one?
I would have already tested to see if it works, as i attached the head back, but i am afraid that this might cause greater damage, so i am waiting for you answer first, thank you!

Anyone? At least, the simple one question, is this small antenna cable one way or two way? All phones have such cable, so, can you please inform me according to your experience, these are in other phones one or two way?
Thank you!
One last bump, no one knows if this small classic antenna cable, which can be found in all mobiles, is two or one way?
Damaged wire.
I apparently have damaged mine as well. No luck finding a replacement so far. It is a double ended connector though, if you take the bottom plate where the speakers are housed, you will see the other end of the cable that runs from the motherboard to the daughter-board.
