Samsung Galaxy S 4G battery and backplate for i9000? - Galaxy S I9000 Accessories

hi guys,
since there is now a samsung galaxy S 4G for T-mobile, i was wondering if we could use the battery and backplate for our i9000's. The dimensions should be the same as it's pretty much identical to the vibrant.
Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere

Pretty sure it will work, but cannot find a supplier - otherwise I would buy to test!!

I went to the tmo store this weekend, and the battery and plate fit the vibrant. Since i9000 plates fit the vib as well, I'm sure you could use it. However, the backplate is actually terribly cheap looking in person, and even lighter and more plasticy that the vibrant's battery covers.

They both work. Anyone can find a supplier?

Samsung build quality compared to Galaxy S, S II

How does the Infuse compare in build quality to the Galaxy S and S II? I had a Vibrant (almost spitting image of a regular Galaxy S) and it was squishy and the rim was loose. Have they significantly improved the design since then?
Edit:
Had a few more questions. The Galaxy S was very color saturated. I heard the Galaxy S II was less so, and thus the same goes for this phone. Is that true? Is there a way to lower saturation like how the Galaxy S II can in the settings, or maybe a tweak? Also, I heard you can increase the audio bitrate and sample in the galaxy s II. Same for the infuse? The audio capture on all these samsung devices leaves a lot to be desired.
Edit: Might as well ask this here also. Does it support 1080p video playback natively? What about through HDMI?

Infuse 4g has a really solid and high end feel, believe me when you hold it you will be impressed with the build quality, everyone that held my phone was impressed. The back cover has a nice texture and only way to tell that its plastic is to take it off. I have used galaxy s before and this phone is much better build quality, so light and thin but really solid.
Build quality is great..yeeess it plastic but no creaks..and this thing is so thin you will want a case to hold on to it...get a good case...and screen protector...use the hell out of it.. Then throw it on craigs list in 8 to 12 months or when ever you are ready to switch it out. . Keep it scratchless to help your next phone purchase?
Was wondering if this has a glued on rim that sticks out the side like the original galaxy s? The Infuse chrome sides seem to be one whole piece that wraps around to the front around the glass and there's no extra glued on rim? The galaxy s ii however kind of looks like it has a glued on rim but it sticks out less than the original galaxy s? I hate glued on rims! Tell me this doesn't have any!
No glued on rim..case it screen protect ut sell it in 6 months rinse repeat
More questions moved to first post.
It is very solid. And don't listen to the complaints about the flimsy battery cover. It actually isn't that bad and still feels kind of solid when you take it off.

it is a rugged plastic. dont think the ispire is better because it is heavy. but what i will say is that im sure the infuse is more damage prone than the captivate. what samsung really deserves credit on is the fit and finnish. the pieces all fit with no gaps and the plastics samsung uses are quite strong and crack resistant. the way the back cover is held on requires alot of precision. there is no excuse for the gaps i see in motorola phones.
im not sure why samsung decided on those stupid slip covers for the battery door on half the sgs line but it made a well made phone look and feel cheap. on the other hand they weren't stupid enough to put antennas in there (im looking at you htc aria and incredible)
I'm very happy with my infuse. I held out as long as I could waiting for the galaxy s2, if it even comes to att. Ill rock this phon for the summer at least than hook up the next good phone. Suppose I could just sell my iphone 4 and use that to buy my next phone and keep the infuse. The screen is sick.

i was worried at first. its very light and its pretty much all plastic. ive been worried most about that tinted chromed plastic around the edges as ive had that on previous phones and thats always the easiest and first things to scratch and break apart. the one on my tp2 was made of dry bread crumbs. i did drop my phone for the first time yesterday and it was a hell of a drop, i was sure i broke something but when it collected it, it didnt have a single scratch. cant say ill always be that lucky but it ticked a certain build quality check.

Samsung Flimsy Battery Cover

This is about the Samsung Galaxy S II Battery Cover, but i'm gonna say it goes for the InFuSe as well, the shells of each device are almost identical.
Worried About the Flimsy Plastic Samsung Galaxy S II Battery Cover? Watch this Video.

We still have no official word on when the Samsung Galaxy S II will land stateside or on Verizon, but until then, the video above should ease any concerns over the fragility of its plastic battery cover. Since the phone debuted earlier this year, one of the biggest knocks against the device (any Samsung device for that matter) was the fact that the back plate felt (or at least looked) like it might break every time it needed to be pulled off. The video that our buddies over at Phandroid have uncovered clearly shuts down that notion.
All I can say, is please be 4G whenever you do arrive.

maybe its not made out of cheap materials as i once though. not that i really cared as its to make the phones as thin as possible, which it does. and with the very nice texture on the back and no hollowness between it and the battery and components, it feels really nice anyways.
actually. that seems pretty legit. seeing how he bent it, seems like you cant break it. which is kind of neat.

[Q] Extended Battery Cover

I just purchased an extended battery for my Nexus S 4G, this one specifically:
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innocell-3500mAh-Extended-Battery/dp/B0053735IY
Now, I have no complaints with the battery, it's fantastic. However, the new back that it came with is very cheaply made, and I'm afraid it's going to break. I also don't really like the feel of the material.
Does anyone know of any cases that can fit a Nexus S 4G with an extended battery in it? I've been Googling around and have yet to find anything. I've pretty much just resigned to being careful with the back, but I figured I'd ask you all to see if anyone knows of something that will fit. I was using a silicone case before (tight fit, good to grip) but anything would pretty much be better than the back of this.
Thanks!
Did you have looked in Power-Skin?
I'd put the link but the system don't leave me... Because I have less than 10 post...
But one of my friend use it on a IPhone and he say its amazing...

You're probably not going to find any cases to accommodate the larger battery. Thats why I went a different route and got multiple 1500mah batteries. I keep one in my wallet just in case the one in my phone dies, I wind up with almost the same battery (3500mah extended vs 2 1500mah batteries) but get to use any case I want.

Arm band sport case for S4 with 7500mAh Zero Lemon battery

Hey folks, I'm looking for an arm band case plus its strap that fits my S4 which has the 7500mAh extended battery. I'd prefer something that fits perfectly or very close to it. It can be anything from plastic, rubber, neoprene or whatever... as long as it's not leather. I also have an 18 inch bicep so I can't work with a small, medium or large arm band velcro strap.... it has to be XL/around 18+".
So where can i find one that would fit my arm & for how much? I've been looking all over the net at places like ebay, amazon, newegg, etc but can't find one that would fit. Please help, thanks.

I honestly don't think they make an armband that is big enough to fit the 7500 mAh phone and battery. You may have to buy one for the regular size S4 and see if you can doctor it to make it fit securely with the extended battery.
To be honest though, I would expect your arm to get pretty tired after having the ZL battery and phone attached to it...LOL

I tried to find an arm band for the 7500mah battery too. I could not find one. I finally went with xxl arkon arm band and tried to fit my phone in it with extended battery but could only get half in. I settled with just switching back and forth with the stock battery and it works fine. I have plenty of battery life with stock battery and i stream pandora the whole time im at the gym

I'm looking for the same exact thing and am not having much luck finding anything. Even went to a local fitness shop next to work to see what they offered. The closest I could possibly find was a armband for a Note II, but the guy at the shop wouldn't let me take it out of the packaging to try it out. Said I had to buy it first and if it didn't work I could just return it. Since they were charging about $25 for the armband I thought that was a bit of an expensive experiment and walked out.
Update:
So I went to Best Buy the other weekend to look at this Armpocket - Xtreme i-30 armband: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Xtreme+...8782997061&skuId=6692013&st=armband&cp=2&lp=2
I asked the sales rep if this armband would accommodate a GS4 with an Otterbox Defender (I said Zero Lemon extended battery and they had no idea what that was). She opened up a Defender box and slid it right in. I had some store credit so I went ahead and bought it. It fits right in with the Zero Lemon 7500mAh battery and case and I could zip it completely closed for Bluetooth use or leave just enough open to plug in corded headphones. Only real issues is that the buttons (volume and home) are a little hard to get to while you're actively running, but aside from that it works great! I've used it every day since I bought it and have had absolutely no issues!
Maybe this will work?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C0O2F4S/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is made for the Note 2, but I guess it could work to the size of the S4
with a large case?
For less than $8 bucks I might send for it and try.
Such a large volume of course very much. However inconvenient to carry.
Any luck in finding a case that works for you? I bought this from Best Buy and it works great: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Xtreme+i...band&cp=2&lp=2
I left an update on my original comment.

Deal Info: Samsung Galaxy S4 3800mAh Mental Beats Battery Bank

Just saw this so thought I'd pass it along... For those looking for a extended battery and all-in-one case, this looks pretty nice. Looks to be fully enclosed with a kickstand. The picture suggests that it also a smart cover with the preview display our phone has...
Samsung Galaxy S4 3800mAh Mental Beats Battery Bank
Haven't shopped around so I don't know if $24 + shipping is a fair price or not.
Disclaimer: I did not and do not plan on buying one of these myself. I do not work for or have any affiliation with this seller, so I don't care if you buy one of these or not. I'm just passing the info along as I've done in the past.
--------- Update ----------
Couldn't help myself and poked around a bit and found it selling here for $5 more. But the main point for adding the link is that it has different shots of the phone in the case itself. In these shots, they do NOT suggest that the cover is smart and I didn't read on either site that the cover is, so beware if that is one of the selling points for you.:
Mental Beats Samsung Galaxy SIII or Samsung Galaxy SIV Battery Charger Case with Protective Screen Cover
For that price I rock the zero lemon battery!!!
