Can anyone help me find an update for my HD2 s/n xxxxxxx. Recently I did installed Rom Version 3.14.707.3 (04666) WWE from the official HTC website but I am having issues when viewing pictures from the home screen. At times the album does not open and gives error. I tried to reinstall the ROM again but the problem persists.
Can anybody help me!!!

Hey there, firstly ive removed your s/n, it really isnt a good idea to be advertising that publicly
To clarify, you have flashed a stock rom. You say your having problems looking at pictures from the home screen via albums.
Where are the photos stored, device or sd card? Maybe your card is giving you grief as i doubt the same problem would persist after reflashing.

Thanks for the reply. Well the photos are stored on the memory card. I have now formatted the memory card and have updated an old rom 1.66.707.1 (76641) WWE. This rom is working fine. Now should I continue with this or install 3.14.707.3 (04666) WWE.

Hey there,
Well the choice is your really, but the 3.14 stock rom did have some useful updates so i would always recommend using the latest stock. Also if you want to run droid from your sd card, the 3.14 stock rom and radio are required.

Thanks for your reply. I have flashed the 3.14 ROM however I am getting this manila.exe error if I try to launch the album from htc sense. I thought it was due to Cookie's Home Tab which I uninstalled but the problem persists.
If I use windows default theme there is no problem.
Can you guide me solve this error.
p.s. I tried to solve the error by reflashing but it won't help!!!

You still get the error after re-flashing?? What programs, cabs did you install after flash?
I have installed cookie's home tab version 2 with cht editor, opera 10, bsb tweaks, godswmobile pocket call blocker, htcaddicts clean ram, johncos endkey - actionscreen, lifeware solutions deluxemoon, palringo, panoramic freecell, rarlab pocket rar, bnm7 manila sense 2.5 colored icons and google maps.

hi everybody on this thread: this is my 1st post on this forum.
I am having issues with my HTC HD2 - T mobile.
here is what I did: I flashed my rom to android froyo 2.2.1 then I had small issues with the phone and tried to upgrade to android gingerbread. then I did lot of things like formatting sd card, trying to upgrade rom, radio, clockworkmode - all in vain.
long story short: the only thing I can see on my phone when I turn my phone ON with volume button pressed, is the red, green, blue & white screen with the following text:
PB81120 HX-B3
SOL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0X40
Serial
I am able to establish USB connection as it says "USB" in place of "Serial" but unable to do anything else as when I tried updating rom, it says the readme.txt is missing, same error while installing clockworkmod recovery, I even tried to install T-mobile's original win 6.5 rom but the utility runs for a while and does nothing with an error saying "couldn't update the rom" and asks me to recover my phone.
now what are my options, to get the phone working on any rom, though I eventually want to install gingerbread. Any help would be highly appreciated. and thanks in advance.
Hi, I've also recently upgraded to this new ROM. The only issue I have is that the fb picture is not loaded to my contact list. I was able to with the ROM that came installed with it. I am able to get facebook profile updates though.
Any help I get is much appreciated.

As I am using XDAII for 2003se which is 2.0600WWE downloaded in this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16880). The radio is 1.18 and the bootloader is 1.01. As I can upgrade my rom from 2003 to 2003se without any problem, I would like to upgrade it to WM5 in these few days.
However, I face some problems in my updating.
I have try XDA_WM2k5_2.01a64WWE, XDA_WM2k5_2.01a00WWE, however, I cannot search the phone network after upgrade rom. As I have read some posts before, I know that there may be my radio's problem, so I upgrade my radio also. I have try 1.17, 1.18, 1.08 with these rom. Unlucky, it also cannot search phone network.
So. for the only solution is get back 2003se with "Asia O2 Xda II WM 2003 SE Upgrade" in this forum. I can get my network back.
As the result, I would like to ask that what problem am I facing and what can I do? Is it the problem of bootloader ? or the problem of radio?
And also, there have "Asia upgrade" for WM5? It helps me a lot and I need not to afraid the networking problem.
Please help me. .

you're lucky you can install that file to your XDA2. Mine can't I donno why. Activesync kept on disappearing. Although upgrading to 2003se is not a problem.

waht edition of active sync do you have? to get wm2005 to work it has to be active sync 4.0 or higher and for the newer roms you have to have AS 4.2 or equivalent beta versions

I'm currently using AS 4.2. The problem is that I couldn't install WM2005 2.01 64 to my himalaya. Once I double click on the installer, AS disappears and an error screen will come out after 10 mins. I also tried installing WM 3.0 but still the same result. I really wanted to try using WM2005 on my himalaya. could you guys help me?

I understand that AS will disappear the same way as it does when I installed SE. However, what puzzles me is that all of these installers will inform me that there is an error and I could not proceed further with the installation. I even have to restart my laptop because AS couldn't communicate with my himalaya after my attempted installation.
Sorry I'm not well versed with computer language/jargons that's why I could not understand the readme file. I would really appreciate it if you could guide me. Thanks.

high what network are you with and are you on contract or pay as you go?
cause i have the settings for o2 contract gprs and also havw the settings for e-mail etc

I tried to flash another roms, but my uni is not booting after install. Only this one (Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM Update 2.12.06 WWE) is working. When i try to boot my phone O2 logo is displaying and thats it.
Question: is it enough to download and install new rom, or i need to install somethink else? I tried also to install 6.1 rom, but it doesnt boot my phone also.

When i flashed new rom i started it ehat windows was launched (not from bootloader). Is it possible that this way i break my radio and after that my new rom won't start?

Was installing duttys rom when my anti-virus program started. Update failed and since then all I see is the tri-colour screen. Sometimes I can get the rom updater to recognise my TyTNII but it will not continue to upgrade. Any suggestions. Have tried mtty1.42 but it doesn't seem to have a usb port option, have tried hard reset etc with no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
An update, I have tried several rom updates since, most get to the stage where the progress bar is shown and the stop. The HTC update to revert to shipped rom gets to 1% and then tells me that this rom is not suitable for my pda!
How about some more information...
What is your Tytn II - Tilt or HTC?
What Rom was on it before you tried upgrading?
What Radio was on it before you tried upgrading?
What version of Duttys did you try to flash?
Did you upgrade to HardSPL before you tried flashing?
This should enable someone to begin trying to unbrick your phone.
Also DO NOT USE MTTY unless you know what you are doing - it can seriously kill your Tytn if used incorrectly. Wait for GSLEON3 to swing by before trying this - but he's very busy at the moment helping others unbrick their toys so you may have to wait for a while.
If you had an original rom/radio from AT&T or HTC it shouldn't hurt trying to download an original rom and try to flash - preferably using your SD card.
Also, while you're waiting for someone to help, have a good read through the Kaiser Wiki (in my signature) before trying anything else.

HTC TyTN 11, Was using Q-mobile 1.2 but couldn't install tom tom navigator 6, don't know what radio it was using because i hadn't got that far. Was trying to flash Dutty's 6.1 and I had run jumpspl from device because I got the white screen when I treid to run 1.93 so installed 1.56 to pda and ran it. this worked to insatll Q-mobile this morning.

Try to reset pda keep getting tri-colour, attach usb and usb shows at base of screen. When i try to install rom The problem in my second post occurs. I cannot hard reset device to anything other than the tri-colour

OK, now you've got your phone working again, make sure that you get HardSPL installed before you try anymore flashing.
ok i was installing KAIS_Radinly_0.26.07.06_CustomRUU and it froze at 96% and now my phone is bricked!! every time i restart the phone its stuck at the RED GREEN BLUE and WHITE screen.. i tried using mtty but then im not trying to mess my phone up any more. i dont understand how to fix it.. if i download a new ROM and put it on my SD card then how do i read it with my phone? sorry guys, im a noob at this as you can tell..

NOT FOR SALE.' how do i get rid of this? when i installed a new rom it still says this and i even tried hard resetting my phone but it did not reset anything to factory settings. it just reloaded the rom that i last had!

I do not know what to do. Every time I turn my device on it loads to the Smart Mobility screen, and then the Smart Mobility screen which shows my device information, but then stops. I can't get it past this stage no matter what I press.
I can get it into bootloader and I tried installing a new ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436779) but the percentage bar does not go over 0%.
This is all because I tried installing TouchFLO 3D's first porting thing from PPCWarez...
Any ideas please? I really need help.
There must be a problem with your rom. Just reinstall either a Bepe rom or the official rom. That should help.
To reinstall a rom, load it via the SD card as active sync might not be available.
Well, I managed to get it working with help from scouse martin. I downloaded the official ROM off www.htc.com and managed to flash it successfully.
On a side note, my SD card is broken, so I currently don't have one. Good job Martin could help me!
(Ps. Anyone selling a 4/8GB MicroSD card, let me know)
good afternoon guys! i have a strange problem on my HD2. if the phone is in stanby and i receive a call without answer and i press the right button to restore the device from standby, the screen is black and i need to restart the device with softreset button...

Which ROM did you install on the device? Hadn't you done the 1.66 upgrade yet?
Apart from this, I was thinking that you posted your message in the wrong place........ Your matter is a ROM bug one, not an app/theme one, you should've posted it in the HD2 general room

this 1.66 ROM 's been supposed to be bugged since the day it was come out. HTC uploaded it without making sure it worked properly, I think. They should've tested it much longer instead.
I would recommend you to try another ROM, a cooked ROM obviously. Have a glance on the ROM room and then you can decide what to do. You're going to get all information in order to download and flash your device.
I personally recommend you to install the Duttythroy 1.8 ITA ROM, take a look on www.htcpedia.com, you'll find a link for downloading it there.

sorry but i need to update again.... same problem. from standby when i press again the button to restore from the standby, the phone doesn't wake-up and i need to reset again to restore... htc support said to take the phone to support for see what happened.
so now i restore the default rom (for take phone to htc support)...
there is problem with your ROM. you just need to update your ROM from HTC website.

Is the Facebook app set to be updated automaticaly? (in contact tab, not the WM Facebook app)
If so, you could try to disable it, then do a soft-reset, and let me know if it's still freezing. It worked for me, my HD2 doesn't freeze anymore. It might work for you.

I have this problem too with the 1.66 rom.
After some reboot, some uninstall of progz etc...
I have found "my" problem: HD2Tweak! Damn!....
I uninstall it (2 months earlier), after that no more freeze with my 1.66 rom.
So I couldn't use HD2Tweak now.... No mather, I do the tricks manually.
There's a thread on the forum to do the tricks manually ;-)

I don't have HD2 tweak installed... but for now no freez but another problem... sometimes windows mobile show a message that file "filesys.exe had a problem" and if i close that message the phone is ok. but WHY?
Good morning guys! an update to my problems...
after reset, hard reset etc.. i decided to turn off HD2 during charge during night.
I never saw my problems again. No freez, no filesys.exe error. Battery with normal usage (from 7.30 am to 8.30pm) for e-mail, calls during day web browsing is better than before!
