is there a way to replace my 1.5 lockscreen with the eclair version? i mean without the need for a 3rd party lock app? i see it can be done in 2.1 but i wasn't sure about a 1.5 build?

I'm not sure you can. I know some ROMS come with it but besides having lockbot I don't think you can do it without having 2.1.

I remember this coming up a few months ago, and I thought the 2.1 lockscreen on 1.5 was a no go...
What's the deal you drop 2.1 to get back to 1.5?
it's possible, but i doubt anyone is willing to backport the apk to 1.5 especially with 2.1 dropping within a few weeks. The nexus one news and weather widget was backported for example, but i dont think people are willing to put in all this effort with 2.1 around the corner.

stock android lockscreens are not apk.s they are in the codes you can run the stock donut lockscreen when on donut roms or enclair lockscreens when on enclair

yea its pretty much the same thing imho /shrug
thanks for the responses...ill just wait until the 2.1 update comes out.
and the reason i don't like lockme or lockbot is ...it's an app that doesn't fully let your phone sleep which drains the battery more.

mine slept fine with it installed but it laged to much for me to keep so i went back to custom locksceens from NOJ (for 1.5 roms)

kind of. for me it was too laggy for a replacement. i'd press menu and have to wait for lockbot to bring up the lockscreen. it was counterproductive for just a nicer looking screen.

exactly why i just uninstalled it after 48 hours of use...
also, its not treated like a regular lockscreen and my handscent messages were popping up over it even though i have the setting to only show after the lockscreen is removed which works perfectly again after uninstall... nice concept, but not refined enough for me...

+1 to everything above. Also it doesn't allow the adjustment of media volume when the screen is off.
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had found/made/would make the phone and browser icons used in the stock Froyo launcher.. I want to use them with Launcherpro and I can't find them anywhere..

does anyone have the original froyo dock background that I could apply to LP? I looked in the Launcher2.apk but the dock seemed to be in sections.
I'm probably being a little OCD, but the stock background is slightly different that the LP froyo background, and I like the stock dock background better.
Im also searching for the little froyo dock...lp froyo dock is ugly xD...

Or, get beautiful widgets. Not a battery hog and it does what the stock clock does and more. There are a ton of skins and some that look like the stock clock.
I guess my only question is do you really stare at your main screen for that long that you watch the minutes flip by?

i don't think any clock actually flips on the hero. i remember seeing it on winmo/sense last. i think it had to do with a slow gpu on the hero.

i think beautiful widget clocks look like ****.
Weather & Toggle widget with the H7C mods (one for clock and one for weather) looks exactly like the HTC one. Used it when I was running CM6, battery life is great with it also, never had an issue.
Thanks guy for all the help, and yes...I love to watch em' flip. So there is no way of taking that old code from a g1 ROM and slapping it into one of the current hero ROMs? Just dloaded fancy and it didn't flip either. It was signed 2010 so I guess he is still updating it, looking for a previous version now.

Im referring to a Sense ROM but Im guessing its not possible, though Ive seen some ppl use LauncherPro+ and they get look a like sense widgets and the dock bar (Rosie) at the bottom just like the actual sense looks. Can someone confirm this being possible?? Thnx

yea, its called launcher pro sense, its in the market. ive used it, even has a few more functions than the stock sense ive used...

Does it lag? Freeze? Or anything like that or is it smooth enough to use daily? Right now I have an Evo and will be switching to an Infuse later next week (probably) thats why Im so concerned but thanx to all for ur quick replies

i came from inspire 4g with leedroid.
i used to think htc is fast untill i tried infuse.
there are no lags,FC with launcher pro plus.
though i am not using sense theme. i use just launcher.
it is awesome.
you can scroll taskbar also with it.
it is as fast as sense on inspire 4g

Hey I played with a friends Infuse and installed launcher pro + and the sense skin and it looks great, but can someone tell me how to get the dock (Rosie) at the bottom to look like the sense one instead of the 5 icons?

its def in the settings, jus play around with it, should take like 30 secs... as far as lag, in my experience, none watsoever. imo lp sense is smoother than sense on that evo, but those are from my experiences. probably cuz our phones are faster than the evo...

Got my infinity a few days ago and have just started customizing. I used ADWex on my prime and planned on doing so with the Infinity (maybe until chameleon). Is anyone using it? Any issues so far?
One thing i noticed is that i do not have the status bar on top with the normal blue line? I was able to work around this using a shortcut to the adw settings, but i usually keep the status bar on until i am completely done with the build.
I also seem to lose all apps/widgets/icons on my main screen every 10 or so times that i hit the app drawer. hit the drawer again and they all come back.
Look forward to everyone's feedback. I had an entire hubs setup on my prime that i was going to work back to.

Hubs won't work because multipicture lwp lags like hell. Also, ADW is pretty outdated, hasn't been updated for a few months.
i agree it needs an update, i just havent had guts to swap launchers. I love the dock and functionality of adw.
BTW-multipicture is working on mine right now? 5 screens, 5 separate pics, no noticable lag. Are you having issues?
i have it working ok, also until chameleon (should get my beta key soon XD )
obviously increased colomns and rows for the tablet compared to my xperia s, but works well. not as smooth as i'd like, and yes its out of date by quite a long way, but ok until chameleon/jelly bean combo!

I just switched to ADWex because Apex and Nova were crashing all the time. The stock launcher wastes too much screen space so I was trying to find a launcher that would allow me to go edge to edge. ADWex does that and I've only had a few crashes with it.
It's an old launcher and doesn't like some widgets. I'm like everyone else, I'm waiting for Chameleon. Should get my email notice today!
Give Nova Launcher a try. Its really nice.

I believe that isn't even a good working assumption. First, I suspect that first adopters are typically more experienced Android owners. In my experience, experienced users are rarely happy with many stock applications; hence not likely to be happy with the launcher and are willing to try other launchers.
For my self, I have yet to find a stock launcher whose functionality isn't limited. On my TF700t I switched it out a couple of hours after getting the tablet. Until recently I had been using, successfully, ADWlauncher EX. The other day I installed Nova Launcher to test it and it is the current 'default' launcher.
that is a good point for sure. I didnt think about the early adopter status.

You make us sound like angry old men unhappy with anything stock
Currently the best launcher for TF700T is..... GO LAUNCHER HD. Give it some times nothing can catch up with it. Currently it only has about 60% of the features of Go Launcher Ex. Go Launcher Ex has proved to be the top launcher for all smart phones.
Adwex is the only launcher i'll use on tablet. Soo much faster sand flexible than other launchers. Status bar is the only odd thing i've noticed, but can get to setting from menu.
