Does anybody have a complete ROM (any 2.3.1, 2.3.2)? If you restore from a backup drive that is downloadable here and do a root, so my wifi error reports. Prior to root everything is OK.
Thanks and sorry for my english.

There is a Nandroid backup for 2.3.1 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=883 you can use one of this to return to stock and then root again.
There is also a backup for 2.3.2 in the development section.

On 2.3.2 is the ClockWorkRecovery replaced every time you reboot like it did on 2.3.1 unless you changed the script?

Ok I want to update to 2.3.2 but lets say I wanted to go back to 2.3.1 could I just restore a nandroid or could I just flash the rom?

A nandroid of a 2.3.1 system should overwrite the 2.3.2 updates.
2.3.2 update only affects stuff in the /system partition and the recovery image
ok thanks I was just asking before I did it.
Hi, I installed the wrong ROM for my phone. I intended to install TrickDroid TMO-US 6.2 but I downloaded and installed TrickDroid 6.0 by mistake.
I also flashed the kernel/boot.img associated with TrickDroid 6.0 as well, but I'm not sure if it was successful or not.
Can I just flash TrickDroid TMO-US 6.2 from CWM Recovery mode without wiping everything? How do I retain my apps and data, I've flashed other devices before and I'm tired of setting everything up over and over again.
Thanks in advance!
Just use Titanium backup and back up your app and data.
Full wipe and flash T-mobile 6.2 plus boot.img (or use TWRP recovery, no need to flash boot.img)
I dont think it would be smart to do so since they use a different base. just to be safe i wouldnt do so, just use Titanium Backup to backup your apps and data and do a clean install of Trickdroid 6.2 TMOUS.

Thanks guys! I'm assuming Titanium backs up to SD card?
Yes it does by default but you could change that. You could also do a cloud backup to dropbox, box, or Google drive.

You don't need to backup system apps. Just yours. But you could if you want to.

Few months back i flashed CM9 ROM by Elypson3 on my Moto Defy.Presently there is a new version of that ROM which i downloaded and flashed.I have Nandroid Backup of the previous ROM.After flashing the updated version of that ROM i am getting ROOT problems using Superuser. When i use the ALLOW all app the root permissions in Superuser, the apps does not allow the root(Tested onany apps including Titanium Backup Pro),but when i use the PROMT option in Superuser settings, the root works on all apps when i tap ALLOW button on promt.
Is there any problem in ROM or i have to ROOT my phone again? Also if anyone can post some simple steps to flash ROM freshly(like a very new ROM and not including a single bit of data from previous versions, like wiping data etc.) would be really helpful.
Go into superuser app & check for update. You can try to unroot, reboot, & reroot. Play around how you like, since you (smartly) made a backup.

I don't know what SFB is, but I'm guessing you need it for the ROM to work on your phone? In that case, ROM first.
Nandroid backs up your whole phone's internal memory, so restoring will take you back to whatever state your phone was in when you made the backup. The contents of your SD card are not included in the backup.

I am running a 4.1.2. stock root and have not taken the 4.3 OTA update. I would like to update to 4.3 via Cyanogenmod 10.2, but the problem I have is how do I transfer app data from one to the other? When I flashed CM 10.2 and tried to restore with Titanium Backup, it could restore the apps, but not the data. Any ideas? Am I missing something?
Thank you.

make sure your phone is rooted! download SuperSu from the market and install it. Once it rooted you should able to restore data with Titanium BU.

All that was done, but for some reason I can't restore the data. I vaguely remember reading something about not being able to transfer data from a 4.1.2 ROM to one that is on 4.3.
so everyone always says back up your data before rooting but no one ever says how. whats the best way to back up data on a one plus one?

i have herd that before but where do i get it how do i use it and what does it do? and what is it, i always thought it was a program used for rooting.
TWRP is a custom recovery. It is used to make backups (sometimes referred as nand backup) , restore backups, install (flash) roms and a lot of other stuff. Check out this guide for how to get twrp: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2788632
[GUIDE] OnePlus One - How to Unlock Bootloader, Install Custom Recovery and Root
It depends on what you mean by back up your data. If you're looking to back up your apps and user data, then use titanium backup.
Twrp is only for backing up your rom. Yeah it can back up apps as well and u can restore them but titanium backup is the best when it comes to this. I suggest titanium back up pro so u can batch restore and backup without any worries.

He's asking how to backup before rooting though, so Titanium is out of the question.
@therussiann, go to the guide thread in my signature, you'll find information there.
