Roms, kernels ,leaks new icecream sandwich cm9 - Motorola Milestone Android Development

Hi everyone! This is a thread FOR ALL ROMS that are available for our milestones!!!!
For a thread on how to root and apply roms, check my other thread at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932196
Now, I am not responsible for any damage caused to your device!
ALWAYS NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING TO YOUR DEVICE!!! (For instructions, look in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932196 It should be somewhere there, just scroll down a little!)
Please ensure that you wipe all data, cache, dlavik cache before applying brand new roms! Usually the same roms of different versions do not require wiping data! For example: Froyo mod 2.4-2.5 may not require you to clear data!
Now for all the roms!!!!!
Note: Some are updates, and some are nandroid backups!

I think these are compatible with both 2.2.1 (GOT leak) and 2.1
MotoFroyoSense by Dexter Picard. This is a Desire Z port to milestone by the great Dexter Picard. (I can confirm this working on 2.2.1 GOT leak using Androidani 3.3 and wiping dlavik cache + cache after nandroid update. I DO NOT THINK YOU CAN WIPE DATA SO YOU MUST NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU INSTALL):

HTC 2.1 Senseui Mod for Milestone by Dexter Picard. This is a 2.1 sense port from Desire ( I think). (This can be confirmed working for me on GOT 2.2.1 leak using androidani 3.3 and wiping dlavik cache and cache after nandroid backup. )

I guess, i didn't check properly before i posted. Sorry.

The moto link are not accessible but the mirror link sure is

please remove the link to the brute forcing thread, out-dated.

There are too many different ROMs for Milestone only. Each one of them has pros and cons.
It will be very helpful to have some kind of comparison between all these ROMs.
For example I heard that Cyanogen has better performance but it will cost you in battery life.
MIUI has better UI and better battery life but less performance than Cyanogen.
I don't know what are pros and cons of all other ROMs

i got this rom from http://planetmax.co.in/index.php and it is by ahmgsk. he names it "Eclair [Android 2.1] MODDED BY ME (eugenes & manup wrk)". big thanks ahmgsk!
maybe if this 2.1 rom w/exchange got some more followers here, some great chef can at least take bug reports and mature the rom since i think it is a solid base.
consider trying it out and buy eugene/manup/ahmgsk some beers

What's ZW Fascinate stock kernel?

Hi, I'm not new to rooting/flashing. My sister-in-law wants her Fascinate to be faster and lag free. So I'm here to help her but got questions. Is EB01 the stock kernel? I'm looking a stock kernel + voodoo. She's gonna wait for offical release of 2.2 on her phone so I'm looking for 2.1 stock + voodoo. But if I have too, I can flash a 2.2 ROM and tell her that VZW can screw.
Please and thanks in advance.
EB01 is the version of the latest leak of 2.2, not the version of a kernel.
Search the Development forum for Voodoo. There are quite a few Voodoo kernels out there for 2.1. The ones from jt1134 are pretty popular. Also, adrynalyne has some test kernels available. I was using his Test 5 (non-voodoo) for quite a while and it was pretty stable. There are other developers with Voodoo kernels as well, so look through the search results and figure out what you like best.
The one thing to keep in mind is that some of the newer 2.1 kernels are only compatible with the latest officially released firmware (DL09). You might need to upgrade her phone (OTA) before proceeding with adding these newer 2.1 kernels.
There is a Voodoo kernel available for 2.2 currently, but you would have to upgrade everything to 2.2 (i.e. EB01). There is a thread for it by jt1134, and it's a stock 2.2 kernel with Voodoo and custom boot animation support.

CyanogenMod 6.2.1-Droid and stock Alltel Milestone 2.1.1 SBF

I've searched everywhere and no one can help.
Could someone please provide the stock Alltel Milestone (A854 CDMA) 2.1 update 1 recovery for me to download and go back to stock when I need to? And I would need instructions on how to do this.
I did a rom backup on Rom Manager of the stock 2.1.1 and switched to CyanogenMod 6.1.2-Droid and was under the impression that I could flash back and forth as I please. But I have been reading that Rom Manager doesn't backup the kernel and when I use the nandroid backup, it won't work because the kernel for the version of CyanogenMod (based on 2.2.1 Froyo) will not be compatible with the stock 2.1.1 Eclair. Is this true?
Please, only reply if you know what you're talking about.

[Q] A question about ICS ROM CyberGR-MOD ver. 8.0

Hi
I would like to have asked this question on the development thread but as i'm a new member i'm not allowed.
I am currently using the CyberGR ROM, which i'm finding excellent. However I would like to use this mod to remap the search key to recent apps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21501238
This thread has mods for CM9 v3 or AOKP m3 or AOKP b26. I believe it only replaces android.policy.jar.
I would like to know whether i could use one of these mods with CyberGR-MOD 8.0? Does this ROM use android.policy.jar from any of the above versions?
Any help appreciated.
Adam
I cannot say for certain, but it might. The reason being that CyberGR-MOD is built on the CM9 and AOKP parts, as stated in the first bullet point of the main thread:
"Based and built-on from latest sources of CyanogenMOD 9 + AOKP Parts"
besides, it doesn't hurt to try it out yourself. download the mod, copy to your USB storage, do a NANdroid backup, and flash the mod to try it out. if something goes sideways, just restore the backup you just made.
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried this and con confirm that is does not work. I got into a boot loop after apply the mod for CM9 v3 and AOKP b26.
Hopefully this feature will be in the next CyberGR ROM version......
