Hi, im new to this. but i just put The GingerBread Build 2.3.1 on my HTC Touch Pro 2 but there seems to be problems and i diont know if i am the only one experiencing this. Anytime i charge my phone, it feels like its about to melt, as if it was going to burn. Another is that i cant get it to vibrate when people text me. If anyone elese has these problems or knos how to fix this can you help. oh my camera doesn't work either.
wait for some updated versions...
Happens to me too, but never really critical. But it does trouble me.

Hey guys ive had my htc touch pro for about a week now, and im running the rome0s, i think its a great improvment over the stock 3 ROM..
Anyway to my problem, i think it may be hardware related but not so sure.
When i am wanting to use the QWERTY keyboard i slide it out as normal. But sometimes it will not change the screen to landscape. It will stay as portrait.
Ive left the keyboard open for a while and it will finally click over...
Not sure why. It does not happen all the time but it is very annoying when i need to type something quickly.
Does anybody else experiance this huge delay/problem?
Its not just in text messaging but with every application including the home screen....
Could my HTC Touch Pro be faulty?
Or is it something i will just have to deal with?
Please help me out soon guys as i can exchagne it straight over for a new one if need be.
Update: Just happened again, though this time it was while i was typing a text message....any ideas?
It would be hard to proove that it happens to the shop because it is quite random :S
Bump. Come on guys anybody got any advice to give??
I lost my HTC Desire 2 weeks because the screen coating was messed up, when I got it back, it turned out that they didn't even fix the coating!
So I sent it back again to the repair service of HTC.
Screen looks all good now, and I even noticed they updated my android version to version 2.2!
The weird part is, my phone resets every few minutes, it doesn't matter if my 3G is on or off!
I hope you can imagine how frustrating this is, first lose your phone for 4 weeks, finally get it back and notice the software being flashed wrong, well at least that is what I think
I searched up google on this problem, and they said the problem got fixed when they sent the phone back to HTC to re-flash the phone, problem is, I really don't feel like waiting another 2 weeks just to use my phone!
I got the idea to just install a custom ROM on my Desire, but I don't even know if there is a decent one that has Android 2.2 AND HTC Sense interface.
Does anyone know if these are available? I would also like to know what you would do in my case, maybe it's just better to send it and have it fixed and all, but if I can do it myself, why not?

Hey guys,
Anyone else getting an issue where the audible selection tone sometimes will not make a sound when phone is left idle for about 3 seconds? Usually it works fine, but like stated before if you leave it alone for a short period of time, and you make a selection, theres a tiny faint sound, almost muffled.
It's not a software issue as I've installed other stock roms to test it out so its definitely a unit issue. Problem is the guys at the store I bought it from refuse to acknowledge that this is a defect or just plainly plead ignorance to even consider taking it in for inspection.
Can anyone else relate or even have a solution? I'm probably going to end up selling it and buying another one since I got it for a prett-ay good price in the first place.

Mine does it to, it did it on stock and also does it now on Virtuous Unity, so it seems to be a phone bug not software, i'm really starting to dis-like the desire S and now wish i'd stuck with my old desire
Got the same problem, maybe that HTC will fix it in a update.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
Thanks guys.
It seems that this is a universal problem with Desire S's. Yet I couldn't find a mention of this anywhere on the interwebz. Then again, finding anything on the Desire S is hard enough (keep getting just Desire results). I managed to finally root and flash virtuous unity (cause I'm the ultimate Android noob) and the issue continues to persist. So yes, it's definitely NOT a software issue.
I just had a chance to play around with a friend's Desire S and his phone has the same issue...but to a lesser degree, so I'm wondering perhaps the severity varies among different phones.
Is there anyone else with the same issue?

I have found a way of getting the sound back by loading a game, then using the volume button turn on the sound to full then leave the game with audible sounds
Hey guys,
since a few days my Sensation XE has some random wierd sound issues. Its nearly the same as the sound issue on the HTC One X ,which got fixxed by a hotfix (i think today or few days ago) by HTC ota update.
I found a thread in the One X forum, which explains it really well.

A hard reset wasnt helping either. It still has this sound bug.
I am running Sensation XE stock Rom with Sense 3.6 and ICS 4.0.3 with T-mobile as carrier.
Is this a common problem on the XE and is there a fix for this?
Its really hard to hear any music, because this stutter is really hurting my ears sometimes.
The HTC support told me to get use of the garanty, because they have no idea.
I would likely stay at stock ROM if this is possible, because i am a big noob to Android Phones and rooting and i dont want to mess things up.
with regards
Mydy
[EDIT] Its not Beats Audio. If i disable it nothing changes. Sound bug is still there. I am using stock music app. Using PowerAmp hasnt helped either.
So i am still here and i didnt find a solution.
I tested this problem with an other SD card, but the problem is still there.
I am now also considering to root my phone, if someone knows if it will fix it (maybe because it is a known bug with Sense 3.6)
P.S: help me

So... I tryed this method in a different way. at first i used the musicplayer without a backcover. Soundbug still there.
Good thing i had two different backcovers for my sensation i exchanged my backcover with a new one. Soundbug still there.
The next day i tried hearing some music (i thought i would get the soundbug like i did before). But i DIDN'T! It is completly gone now. I dont know why. I had the bug with exchanging the backcover. Then over the night it was gone. I still believe that this bug is still there in a weird way, but maybe i am just a bid paranoid >_>
But i am still thinking that something is wrong with my phone.
Now some of my pictures i had on my phone are getting distorted, like half of the picture is green and a bid shifted.
Well I got my phone a little over 2 months ago. I have the HTC Evo Design 4G on Boost Mobile. Running ICS.
Android Version 4.0.3
HTC Sense Version 3.6
Well a few weeks ago i had my phone stuck in a boot loop. Well needless to say ever since then its been acting funny. I got it out of the boot look my going into the HBoot and doing a factory reset. Well that worked for a little bit then my phone would kinda reset itself. like when you first turn your phone on and it sets the desktop up. I know not the right words to use. But anyways it did that for a while. Now my phone just reset itself. Like i lost all my pics and lost all my custom ringtones. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue with their phone. I also get the voicemail icon come up randomly too. Even when I do not have a voicemail. Lately my phone seems kinda sluggish. I got it from best buy and got the protection on it too. I wanted to see if there is a fix or if this is a known issue with the device. Any help would be appreciated. If you need anymore information about the issue please let me know.
