[SPLASH1] HTC + Snapdragon + VZW - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

This is a slightly customized version of the standard static bootscreen (or SPLASH1). It has the same background color as the stock HTC bootscreen, but adds the line "Powered By:" and has a Snapdragon & Verizon logo below that. When I can find the time, I will make color-background versions, and a screenshot.
Attached below is the ORIGINAL version
(See second post for other versions)

Altered Versions
Posted version: 22.2.11

Next Planned Version 24.2.11

The EVO version may be awhile, due to my EVO dying *boohoo*.

Looking forward to a black version already. Thanks.

when can we expect themes

Hi,
while I patiently wait for my new phone (by patiently, I mean gnaw my fingers to the knuckles, chew the table and generall go mad with impatience!!) I have started sorting out all my old programs from my HD that I want to put on the new phone.
previously, on all 4 of my WM phones, I have dumped the TF3D in favour of Mobile Shell. I think the HD2 might be the only phone where I keep the HTC interface..it looks amazing....but time will tell.
however, I have always like to have themes on my phone, and I am hoping for 2 speific ones
Halloween (ok, perhaps a bit late for this by the time I get the phone)
Christmas (this would be just in time for getting my phone)
does anyone know when we could expect to see such themes for the new sense interface?
thanks
So strange...
I'm waiting for hd2 too and while reading arround here i couldn't notice from your signature the fact that you own, for quite a small period of time, a iPhone 3gs...
I have a 3gs between hd to hd2...
Very good phone but... looking forward the new hd2!
I hope for the hd2 to move better than iphone!
Cheers!
the iphone has a great interface...but
1) it's far too locked down for me
2) having to do everything through itunes is a pain
3) it's crap for business use
basically, I hate it!!
but I thought I'd give it a go before slagging it off....I've tried it, and it's rubbish.
Chainfire is working on new CFC compression for the latest version of manila... When he's done on that there will also be a Manila image -> png which makes things a lot easier to work with, at that point I expect there will be a set of themes out.

lol - funny u say that fellas - Sold my Touch HD (due to contract ending with orange) - bought an Iphone 3GS and got bored within a week - sooooo miss my HD and along comes the HD2 - got one on pre-order - iphone 'cascaded' to teh missus - Steve jobs can stuff itunes where the sun don't shine - I hate it with a passion.
My TP2 is for work so I don't mess with that much - boy do I miss the excitment of this forum and flashing that 'new' super ROM
Correct me if I'm wrong - Isn't HTC Sense just Manilla 2.5? So if we have stuff from our HD's (like I still do - was running Manilla 2.5 aaaages ago) it should work? or am I just barking up the wrong tree?.
thanks

I'll also be trying to bring back some themes like neon and a few other projects I started. Looking forward to a trip back to Windows, although I still do love Android too.

Yup, you'll probably find they still work as its the generic windows files that will be changed.
While waiting for my Leo to arrive I've extracted all the manila files from the offical Leo WWE ROM, just waiting for Chainfire to finish his CFC tool and I'll be creating themes.
Also looking to tweak the People tab so that it shows 4 links in a row instead of 3 since the screen is big enough to display that many.

super mario boot animation?

i have seen super mario boot animations and it looks good. but i have seen them on the droid and eris. is there one for the nexus one? if so where if u can be kind enough to point me to where its at
there is one you can add with boot animation changer available in the market. Not sure if only available in the paid version or if also in the free
I've added the one I have, probably not meant to distribute it so I'll remove it after you've downloaded it. I changed it from the one I found to make it fit the Desire's screen size (I'm assuming the Nexus has the same screen size).
Edit: Well I thought i'd uploaded it, PM me if you want it.
I will build one tonight for you if I don't forget. Should be easy.

Fake. I'd vote if I wasn't on my mobile

Again, can't vote... But I vote fake. Clearly a cyanogen theme with a bunch of custom launcher options. The notification pull down looks like it's done in poor taste as well... Similar to all the epic themes by mystery emotions. It's all very amateur, bright and overly contrasty. (notification bar only)

They pulled a partial firmware from the device before it was wiped, it was real. I trust Jcase, he is reliable and already has a well established rep.

Yeah, it follows along with the leaks about what will be new (like the categories in the list of apps and the list of widgets). So it is definitely real. It could be a real early version so who knows what will change by the time it is released.

[Q] Questions about Sense and Android 4.0

Hello guys,
I've just recently got the One S on contract from Netcom and coming from a Samsung phone this really has been a new experience for me all together. But I have a problem. The phone itself works flawlessly and lags nothing compared to the HTC One X - but I really, really, really HATE SENSE.
I just can't seem to get used to it and since I've pretty much done custom flashing on my old Galaxy S since the very start, I just can't wait to replace SENSE as soon as possible - in the mean time, would it be possible to just unlock the device and put a STOCK version of ICS on it? Like one for the One S so that I get to keep stuff such as the HTC browser and maybe the custom Alt+Tab kind of thingy they put on?
Personally would like to build my own custom ROM with some mixed ingredienses but I wouldn't know where to start.
Any ideas? Or do I just have to wait and stick to this in the mean time?
As a stop-gap measure, you could install another launcher. I did this on the HTC Sensation for awhile before we started having either the non-sense options or true AOSP builds like we have now. From my limited experience, this is a flagship device and developers and users and documentarians will show up. The Sensation has a pretty rich community of both sense and AOSP builds now. One cautionary note though. On my Sensation running a modified version of CM9 there are things still being fixed. You may find early versions of ICS will have a variety of issues as developers get things solved. Its particularly hard before source gets released though. Its like peddling a bicycle backwards in a dark tunnel when its raining.
As mentioned above, install Nova launcher for now.

Au Contraire!
I am going with the One S because it runs Sense 4 ( best android overlay)
I was going to go with Samsung Galaxy S2 but my friend showed me his, everything about TouchWiz was unappealing from the large text the stale interface.

I guess each one has it's own taste
My gripe with sense is just what you describe as appealing.. the small black text on white background in most of the interface is killing my eye-sight at night. Guess I have been used to the Android 2.3 experience for too long and as much as Sense 4 works wonders - it just not my cup of tea. This could of course be fixed if there was a "black" skin that could be applied. Preferably with as little bright colors as possible (I know, may sound boring but will eventually save a few hours of battery in the long run due to the AMOLED display running "less hot" )
I'm in the same situation as the OP, really enjoyed ICS on my Desire until the display broke (got slammed display first into table... IKEA > HTC)
Anyways here's hoping that I understand these nuggets correctly: "MoDaCo Custom ROMs are based on official ROMs - either shipping or leaked."
"Stock style and Vanilla (ICS) style prebakes will be available as the ROM takes shape."
Source: first post in [ROM] 11 Apr - MoDaCo Custom ROM for the HTC One S - Sense and Vanilla styles in the One S Development forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592126
So hopefully Paulobrien just removes Sense etc from an official ROM. Not sure whats up with the cooking lingo though, maybe there is a dev-chef-lingo dictionary somewhere on XDA!
Also I second your request for where to start learning to build your own ROM! Should post a Q in the noob-friendly thread here.

Perhaps you are right
Looking at sense 3.0 interface , the black blackground is weird, sense 4 with white background for settings seems much more natural. I have spent quite some time around my friends who have EVO 3D and Sensation, and I have to admit I will miss the eye catching animations and the easy access carousel function. Of course this is will be my first HTC phone so I can see how people hate the white look of settings. Coming from an iPhone with white settings too, it will be a similar transition for me. Sense just seems to have so much depth and much to explore compared to other Android Overlays. Having ICS along with it just makes the experience much smoother and sweeter.(Pun partially intended )
So... can anybody tell me if the Stock ROMs that have been cooked for the One S recently work good enough to run for production (i.e. HTC camera, launcher, weather widget)
I really would like to feel that AOSP experience again just like on my old Galaxy S. But I don't want to loose any functionality

Try Black Dragon 3.8 Rom. Very stable and keeps all functions working.

Kthx.
Does that include the HTC ImageSense chip-drivers? I really like the way the camera snaps those pics in a fraction of a second!

Sense 4.0 doesn't look quite how I saw it before I got my One X

Just curious, but when I first saw video of the One X running, I saw a lot more transition animations, etc, in Sense 4.0 (the tiles in a menu folding into view from the side of the screen, etc) that I don't see in my AT&T One X. Did these get ripped out of the final product or is there some way to change/enable them?
What video? Maybe it was a European version
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
Strange. Sense 4.0 is supposed to be very stripped down and not flashy. I wonder what video you saw.
Maybe you saw a video of a pre-production build at MWC or CTIA. I know that there are plenty of those videos around that show a not-quite-finished version of Sense 4.

Might have been. The one thing I really liked was how the rows of a menu kind of rolled into view, looking sort of like piano keys on a mandrel.
