Yes. Its well documented and in fact, most of their reports were from XDA.
I constantly get reboots.

the 3 button issue has already been fixed.
and the GPS issue has been fixed in the leaked roms.
and the samsung rep is already aware of the issues and posted updates about them a couple times.

where has the 3-button been fixed?
leaked roms != official roms, and honestly my GPS is still not as good as my iPhail 3GS. Not acceptable yet.

Fixed? Uhhh... No. Neither have been fixed. There is no 3 button workaround for the Captivate yet. As far as I am aware, Samsung USA has yet to acknowledge th 3 button problem on the Captivate. And GPS is still not working consistently in JH7 so what mysterious ROM are you referring to?

I have no issues with my GPS
However the three button recovery will not work on my phone unless I adb it.
Also Download mode will not work unless I adb it.
So where is the fix?

Uh yes its all fixed, my GPS works fine and my 3 button recover works fine too, you got a LEMON!!!
It is interesting all the conflicting info out there.
I have been reading the GPS posts closely, and while I haven't counted, I would be there are more that it is not 'fixed' for than there are. I also feel that those who think it works fine for just haven't been in the right circumstances for it to fail.
But, that's good for them if it is fixed.

I would bet that anyone that says the GPS is "fixed" has used the workarounds. I wouldn't consider this a "fix". Or maybe it the Democrats definition of a fix?
Sorry to add in politics.

It isn't fixed and your comment isn't very helpfull. I had Samsung on the phone yesterday and today and in no way is this fixed. It appears that there was a run of phones that the three button combo does not work. The thread is somehwere on here and people posted the date of manufacture on the phones that don't have the three button combo working. Apparently you can send your phone to Samsung and they can fix it so the three button combo.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778586
Here's the link to the thread discussing it, you can find the dates of phones that don't have the three button combo working.
Obviously you have the needle in the haystack phone while I bet over 95% have either the GPS or 3 button problem.
I have just recently found out and realize that below is happening to me.
"Notification bar icons (Wi-Fi, network coverage bars, etc.): Turn green when you have an uninhibited connection to Google, white when you don't. Hint: if you're in a hotel or airport using Wi-Fi, the bars won't turn green until you launch the browser and get past the captive portal."
quoted from http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/12/some-cool-android-tips-and-tricks.html
when the phone is put to sleep, it often turn white. meaning it got disconnected from google services.
this also resulted to not receiving any push notification (especially on gmail).
when i turn it on again, it will then try to connect to google services and after a while, you will see that the signal bar turn green again.
then only suddenly you receive all the missed notification (this includes gtalk).
anyone has experience similar issue?
(note, i am testing this on mobile data only). going to try it on wifi later.
you seriously have to search the forum, cause this has been covered in a million page thread already in a few different places

hi, do you mean that this is a known issue?
but this doesn't seems to happen to my N1 which is on stock 2.2.1
and guide/direction on where the original discussion is much appreciated.

It's a known issue for the nexus s with a huge thread discussing it.
Unless I'm confusing the issue? Can anyone tell me if I'm thinking of something else?

i am still trying to find out if this is just happening to me (minority) or is this something serious (known issue).
so, cookie, this is happening to you as well, right?
Hey,
i know this has been discussed in many threads..just want to have some answers.
i bought my Nexus S a few months ago, it's the I9020 not I9023, from UK.
i really love the phone itself, it's just awesome. had a htc hero before.
but i hate those random reboots, happens to me ~1 time per day. the screen wents really dark and a never ending bootloop happens. have to pull out battery to get it back to work, most times i don't even notice this and the phone is dead after a while of bootlooping... no fix yet right? anyway i "can" live with this but hope to get a fix soon...
GPS and Compass were unuseable since i have it. even my hero has a faster and especially safer GPS-Fix, GPS on Nexus S just loose fix every few seconds and compass does not jump around 50-100°. THIS really sucks! I have already searched around on google and XDA and wherever if this is a hardware or software issue and if there is a possible fix for it but i haven't found a real answer yet and this is what i want to know now.
is this hardware or software related?
is there a fix possible?
like i said, love the phone itself but these issues would make me resell it...
hope i'll get some answers and don't be rude, my english issn't the best.
Best regards and happy easter
Flo
edit: im using latest CM7 with latest Netarchy-Kernel with no additions.
The boot loop/reboot problem is definitely a CM7 issue. None of the other ROMS have this problem.

You could still have bumped an older thread, though. Like mine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035005.
I think if all the people with GPS problems could get together in one thread (needn't be mine, of course, there's lots), this issue would get more exposure and eventually be fixed.

No idea, but since the Nexus One and the Galaxy S with 2.3.3 have similar issues, I'm still hoping it's software. There is no known fix at this time.

i guess you are right, and im doing my share here. i have at least 2, 3 random reboots everyday, even if its a clean install, everything wiped. there's something buggy in every cm7 based rom
I guess its the radio problem, for the gps,

That's correct. The error gets triggered from server you try to connect to.
I talked to the customer care representative. He informed me that the problem is occurring for all customers world wide. This is a server problem from their side. They are trying to fix the problem. It'll be fixed after some time. Although he didn't exactly mentioned how much it is going to require, he said 'shortly'.
Also, I wonder if Motorola Tvs are affected or not!! Can anyone verify this? Are the Motorola tvs affected as well? Or this is just the 4K media sticks?

Been enjoying the pixel 7 pro so far. Sadly one repeated issue I'm having is the phone just completely dropping service randomly from time to time? I'll go from full 4G to no network at all in the space of a few seconds. Apparently this is a known issue on some devices. Does anyone know of some type or fix or am I looking at returning the phone?
I've seen it happen a few times but it's been so rare that honestly it is not affected my usage of the phone

I guess the only way to resolve this is for you to get a physical sim and test it out.
Not having this issue on pSIM or eSIM. Signal is rock solid on mine (and actually got a bit more solid on the beta but was already great out of the box after the first OTA).
