Let me preface this by saying I am fairly new with rooting and flashing /flamesuit. I have a sprint galaxy tab that I rooted (or tried to root I should say) using z4root. I applied a permanent root and everything went fine. I then installed rom manager to help with putting clockworkmod and flashing roms. My tab has the superuser app on it, but rom manager still displays an error message that says my tab needs to be rooted before I can use it, I cant even install cwmod. At this point I'd just like to start over and use a different method to root the tab but everytime I try to remove the root using z4 the tab vibrates a few times before force closing. If there is something I could use to restore my tab without clockworkmod I would be very appreciative if someone could bring it to my attention.
Thanks
Try using SuperOneClick to UNroot your tab.

Hi, I have bought an Ace ME ROM version for my fiancée that had Eclair installed. I rooted the phone using superoneclick v1.9.1 and everything was working fine. Then my fiancée connected to Kies and tried to upgrade to Froyo however the phone hang and she removed the battery and then the phone was not working anymore. I got the phone to work again by reverting to factory settings from the recovery mode screen, and the phone was upgraded to Froyo. However, the phone lost its root, and I am not able to root it again, once trying SuperOneClick the phone hangs on waiting for device (even though I tried all remedies to this issue that are available online). I tried to install Z4root on the phone to root without connection to PC however the application crashes when I click root or unroot.
By the way, the phone says that it is rooted in the settings/About phone/Kernel version screen.
I would appreciate any help on how to re-root the phone as due to low capacity, app to SD and removing stock apps is necessary.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello all,
I have had my Galaxy i5500 for awhile now and have used odin to flash updates for the firmware etc.
I have recently rooted my phone using Superoneclick and this worked fine. Overclocked the phone, and ran a number of Apps using SuperUser Access to gain all the benefits from this.
I installed Titanium Backup and Installed it on my SD Card, this caused a number of problems and I had to pull the battery on my phone to reboot it. Anyway it then hung at the GT-I5500 screen and I ended up having to download a new firmware (not custom) and use Odin to update it.
I now have a working phone, however I now can't root it. I have tried Superoneclick, that no longer works. I have also tried Universal Androot..with that I get an error message of Root Failed - No Fu Guu (or something like that) and I have just tried using z4root... with that it says acquiring Root Shell and then it just kicks me out...have checked and it's not rooted.
I also can't seem to access the reboot menu on my phone (the one where you press a couple of buttons to enter the menu where you can factory set your phone.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Other than these problems mentioned, the phone works as it should
Solved....
It took awhile of trying different root software but.... after reflashing my phone with another stock rom, I found Super One Click still didn't work, nor did z4root or universal Androot (I'm guessing it would have worked without reflashing a different rom).
I did however find that Unlock Root 2.2 worked! My phone is now flashed, no error messages and I have Superuser Access!! Now time to install a custom bootloader and start with the custom roms!!
hi XDA members,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 (i9506) which is the Snapdragon 800 version running Jellybean 4.3. I rooted using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529064 and device worked fine for about two days. I was able to delete bloatware but after the second day I wanted to delete another bloatware app (Chat On) but was unable to do so. A message saying "Su binary missing" and when checked with Root App Checker the result came up as "Device is not rooted". I even tried restoring through CWM because I made a back up just before root procedure, but that went unsuccessful. The device went into soft brick and i had to take it to a professional to get the stock firmware re-loaded.
Can someone please enlighten me on why the device reverted to 'un-root'????
p.s. no custom ROM was flashed/installed....
thanks in advance XDA
Hello,
Until today, I was using the v18 of the Omega ROM on my Galaxy Note 2 and today I installed the v26. But the Wifi was bugging, so I tried to flash the fix from CWM. I didn't manage because it didn't find the file and when I quitted CWM, my root has been disabled. Since that, I don't manage to root it again, I have done like many tutos but each time, even if the software like Odin was telling me it was OK, when I launched SuperSU, it tells me that no SU Binaries is installed. I have tried to uninstall/reinstall, I have also tried with Framaroot, but it tells me to try with another exploit, but there is only one...
I don't know what to do, I can't back up my folders and apps with titanium backup without root... Do you have a solution ?
EDIT : I have installed again CWM recovery, and then the Omega ROM. And everything is good now.
So I have a T-mobile Galaxy S4 and I had recently rooted it. Went to go flash a ROM on it and after I booted the phone up again I noticed that superuser was missing from the app list. I checked root checker and it said my phone was not rooted. Currently running 12.1 CM android version 5.1.1. and I tried rooting the phone again but no matter what method I try the process fails for whatever reason. I tried going into clockwork recovery mode but since I don't have root access it won't even let me do that. Really confused and would really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.
Edit: By the way the ROM is running fine and smoothly. Just don't have root access and can't root.
Hello,
What you need to do is go to settings, about phone, tap on build number 7 times, then go back and go to developer options, then go to root access and pick apps and adb. If it's already picked, disable it and then repick it.
Any more help, just ask HERE in your device's Q&A section.
Good luck!
