G.O.T 2.2.1 released
G.O.T is proud to finally be in a position to present to you the 2.2.1 firmware files you have all been waiting for.
We have also finished our work on our OpenRecovery modification for this and previous builds.
Lets start with the Credits:
- The entire G.O.T theme for sticking with me during the past week and the numerous IMs/calls/chats we have had to get this done in time. I, personally, feel honored to work with you guys!!
- The great nadlabak and skrilax_CZ. None of this would have been possible without your continuous dedication and support. Nadlabak, go-go-go with your CM6 We are sure once you launch your new edition of CM6, our firmware will no longer be needed by the users!!!
- DAGr8 and -fufu-. Your ideas and cooperation with us (especially our coders/scripters) took our OR to a whole new level. As such, the incremental jump to V2 of the OR is all due to you guys.
- he_stheone64 for agreeing to “licence” his Theme “SummerBlues” to us as the new and improved G.O.T theme. Thank you so much.
- All the other help we had from the people that worked with us day and night and who would like to remain “silent” contributors. You know we owe you a lot!!!
Here is what you need to know:
a) Contrary to previous releases, we would strongly recommend you to use our GOT OR V2.0.
One of the first things you should do is use the “Fix 2.2.1 bugs” selection in the new OR 2.2.1 menu after you flash the sbf file.
This tweak will fix some of the issues with the generic sbf build such as dual USB notifications, replacing some stock Motorola applications such as the old launcher/mediagallery and adding the Wireless Tethering application.
DO NOT USE after installing the G.O.T. theme, as the services.jar is different between both versions. If you did it anyhow, simply install the G.O.T theme again.
b) The sbf firmware files are all modified by us including the vulnerable recovery, so you can flash and root straight away (same as with our previous releases)
c) If you flash the firmware, you might encounter a reboot after the first boot. This is normal and expected behavior, so do not be alarmed
d) We can only provide you with full sbf releases at this moment. We strongly recommend not to use any backup from 2.1 related kernels as you are bound to get into trouble. The best approach is to install the apps you need from the market, set up your accounts and customize your device by hand. This is the only way you can guarantee that any issues encountered are not due to an incompatible data/settings backup.
e) Performing and restoring nandroid backup from 2.1based kernels will result in a bootloop unless you use our G.O.T V2.0 OpenRecovery (or any other ORs that have been updated to V1.44 of skrilax_CZ base). The simple reason is that we have worked together with Skrilax_CZ as we, and him, encountered issues when trying to restore 2.1 based nandroid images on top of the flashed 2.2.1 firmware. We are very happy our cooperation with him was as good as it was, and as such be in a position to already have solved this issue at launch.
f) We are extremely proud to give to you the new G.O.T Theme for 2.2.1. Some of you may see the familiarities to the SummerBluesTheme of he_stheone64. There is a reason for it – we are proud to be able to announce that he_stheone64 has worked with us, and agreed, that his SummerBluesTheme is now the new G.O.T theme.
g) NOTE: On some devices, we have encountered that rooting directly after flashing without rebooting after the initial flash can bring some issues with RootExplorer not asking for root permissions. To be safe, reboot after flash so that the “welcome to milestone” menu comes up, set up the device in general, then reboot to recovery and root the device as well as apply our 2.2.1 tweaks with Launcher, Services.jar fix and Wireless Tethering app.
Testing experience from our team regarding features and functionalities:
- AGPS works reliably, no trouble found
- Bluetooth works reliably, no trouble found
- WLAN works as before, no trouble found
- GPRS/HSDPA data works fine, no trouble found
- Framelimit of 30fps lifted
- Kernel 2.6.32 includes and supports the generic 2.2 features known
- Tethering app (3G Hotspot) included, but did not work for us (network provider needs to support this feature failures). We don’t know whether this is possible with your operator, but we have included the wireless tethering app in the Stock 2.2.1 tweaks
- Market needs fixing to show protected apps, bug solved by using the G.O.T fingerprint of build.prop and market fix (provided in 2.2.1 menu)
- Overclocking works fine with the modified overclock2.2.apk written (2.2.1 overclock menu will install it)

[How To] Install The New GOT Update On Milestone
[Info/brainstorming] Compiling modules for the 2.6.32 test kernel
got it up and running and synched so far so good, quick question how do i install marketplace apps to the sd card I cant seem to see the option?
Overall speed wise its great. The theme is slick. Battery life will be tested. But my wifi will not work. It does not like my linksys 400n router. It refuses to connect, it will try then stop and say disabled. Help would be appreciated
Bravo G.O.T!
Anything special to install the OR 2.0? SBF flashed fine for me and phone works, but when i run the update.zip it just stays on the logo without going into open recovery =/
EDIT: nvm, forgot to copy OpenRecovery to the root of sdcard..
Just flashed.
But I have no idea what's "One of the first things you should do is use the “Fix 2.2.1 bugs” selection in the new OR 2.2.1 menu after you flash the sbf file. "
I've mirrrored them all on my server.
Happy downloading
Great News but i will have to wait, cause my Operator use 850MHz here in Brazil , Claro
And i dont want to loose 3G, if anyone in knows if its possible to save some items to replace i will be glad
I've been running it for the last 4 hours and so far so good! I have the cpu set to 900mhz any recommendations for the vsel speed?
Sent from my Milestone using Tapatalk
After the initial sync with google everything went speedy.
Did the 2.2.1 fix before even setting up the phone.
I'm getting 1mbit more from my hsdpa (running 2.3mbit now, barely hit 1mbit before). Still way too low for hsdpa, but I suspect that's my carriers fault.
Rooting and theming (standard GOT CM6 theme). Very pretty.
But the phone seems sluggish for a few minutes after each bootup. I have not yet changed CPU speed.

You can use the Telus version. It's from Canada. I'm in Argentina and can connect with full speed 3G (HSDPA)
JUST REMEMBER to take note of your APN settings, alright?

both go straight to 1000mh and keep the stock vsel. aka 56vsel no point for the gaysh 900.
apps installer is crashing for me.
How do i install this Rom???
wlan doesnt work for me either. later i found a "dns fix" inside OR 2.2.1 mod menu but it didnt work as i thought it would. my HSPA works like charm tho. so i cant really say its a dns issue (or maybe it is, they might use different route table)
I'm feeling a little crazy so I'm currently at 1.33GHz / 1330MHz with a vsel of 88. If that is likely to kill my phone and / or fry the CPU I'd appreciate someone telling me but the highest available overclock with the Milestone Overclock app is 1200MHz and 80 vsel.
For those running the themed version can you throw a few screenshots up? I don't mind the stock version and I'm cautious about installing a theme without seeing any images.
How do you install the ROM? It's an SBF file so you need RSD Lite. Look at the thread about rooting your Milestone for details on how to use RSD Lite to flash your phone with the SBF file. It'll also tell you how to install OpenRecovery which is a similar process to installing the new recovery with this.

Using RSD Lite , same as with any official ROM from Motorola. It makes this installation pretty painless.
See here for a decent guide. Skip step 1, and in step 5 you choose the SBF from GOT.

Non-standard disclaimer:
In order to use this ROM, you must have already installed clockwork recovery. If you manage to brick your phone with this ROM from there, you are a dumb ass of unimaginable proportions, and I absolve myself of any responsibility whatsoever. Further, any damage done to your phone with this ALPHA ROM is your fault and no one else's.
FAQ
Q. I bricked my phone/my signal sucks/my cat exploded since installing this ROM.
A. See the Non-standard disclaimer above.
Q. I can't seem to flash the rom successfully, and my Nandroid backups don't restore.
A. Do NOT start Clockwork recovery by powering down the phone with the USB port plugged in. Clockwork WILL NOT operate reliably that way. Power down the phone with the USB cord disconnected so that the phone powers off properly. Then start the phone by pressing and holding the vol-down button while pressing the power button to start. After diagnostics complete, you can enter Clockwork the proper way.
Q. I lost my 3g connection after I flashed Liberated Aria FR Series, now the icon just says "H".
A. You didn't lose 3g - the H is for HSDPA, which is enhanced 3g, sometimes referred to as 3.5g. It's a good thing, if you see an "H" where the "G" used to display - don't worry about it. Print this out for next time you head to the can: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-Speed_Downlink_Packet_Access
Q. How do I keep my wifi from going to sleep every time the screen shuts off?
A. There is a hidden feature that disables wifi sleep.
menu > Settings > Wireless & networks > wifi settings > menu (again) > advanced > Wi-Fi Sleep policy > Never > menu > Save
However: although you can keep the wifi service from sleeping, the wifi driver will still sleep on it's own after detecting no bus activity for a period of time. It doesn't wake reliably, so you are better off just letting the service sleep.
Q. Will this ROM support over or under clocking with Set CPU?
A. Yes! As of FR008, we have a stable, fully functioning OC kernel.
Q. Hey, what's a de-odexed ROM and what's it for?
A. Read this: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/what-is-odex-and-deodex-in-android-complete-guide/ and this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7435131&postcount=8
Q. I can't get flash to work. What's going on?
A. Flash 10 is not supported by this CPU, but HTC's Flash Lite is in there.
Q. Where's the FroYo wireless hotspot?
A. It's in there!
menu > Wireless & networks > tethering and portable hotspot
Q. What's wrong with bluetooth? It doesn't work with my floozengadget.
A. Nothing. All bluetooth functions have been confirmed *WORKING* with compatible devices.
Q. But my floozengadget device is bluetooth compatible. What's wrong with bluetooth?
A. Nothing. Android bluetooth on the broadcom chipset is not compatible with every bluetooth device. Consistent compatibility issues have been noted with devices using certain parrott chipsets, certain automobiles with factory bluetooth including most Nissans, Volkswagons and an assortment of other devices and autos.
Q. Can you fix bluetooth so it will work with my floozengadget device?
A. No.
Q. Does the FM Radio work?
A. Yes.
Q. Is this an HTC Sense ROM?
A. Yes.
Q. My widgets don't load or I am missing icons on the desktop or in folders.
A. The sdcard mounts late in the startup process - later than when desktop icons and widgets are loaded. This is a problem inherent in Android 2.2 and manifests itself when an application/widget is moved to the sdcard that has a presence on the Desktop. This is not a bug in this ROM, it's apps2sd in FroYo. For better apps2sd performance, use the ap2ext version (enabled by default when an ext2 or ext3 partition exists as the second partition - after FAT - on the SDCARD).
Q. If this is Froyo, then how come it doesn't work exactly like it does on xyzphone?
A. The Aria is not xyzphone, and probably has a different feature set.
Q. May I use your work and customize it and republish it?
A. Sure, but if you start with this ROM as a base for your own, please note it.
Q. May I mirror these ROMs?
A. Please don't, as I updated them periodically, and I can't update mirrors I can't control. If you want to do you own build based on these, then fine, mirror away.
Help
Install either ROM from Clockwork Recovery.
If you aren't rooted and dont have Clockwork installed, Go here: Unrevoked reflash Root/Recovery flash tool
If you are rooted and haven't yet installed clockwork, then do that. See this thread: Unrevoked reflash Root/Recovery flash tool
if you are running windows and are having difficulties with drivers for proper operation of Unrevoked Reflash, then look here for solution: Shadowf0x's custom LiveCD spin for rooting the Aria
Once clockwork is loaded:
Do a nandroid backup to preserve your current rom
Wipe Data (if coming from another rom, including CM6 or liberated_aria non-deodexed version, or to enable additional languages from previous version)
Wipe Cache
Wipe dalvik cache (advanced > wipe dalvik cache)
Install liberated_aria_*FR00*_signed.zip from sdcard
To Enable A2SD:
Backup your applications
Backup your sdcard
Partition your sdcard with ROM Manager with an ext partition option. (ROM manager is in Market)
This should start a special mode of clockwork recovery, which will partition the sdcard.
Yay moar romz!!!
Nice! Gonna try this out and compare it to the speed of cm6.

Oops...didn't mean to quote. Doh!
I think I'm going to switch to this rom since that new Gratia ROM has some chinese characters here and there and those chinese market apps. I'll be watching this thread for any future revisions. Thanks for this!
Impossible to move some programs on an SD-card, unlike CyanogenMod...
Froyo apps2sd sux anyway. Partition and use a2sd method included in this Rom.
Does this one have the voice dialer, or would the seperate app I downloaded a couple o weeks ago that you whipped up for us work fine with Froyo?

Yes I must say since flashing my Aria with this, it is very snappy and the market is working great, thanks again attn1!
Just thought I'd post again and say everything is working great. No issues so far (then again I've only been playing with it for about half an hour now). Only thing with all the roms I've tried though is why can't ONE of them for ONCE not put apps on that we can't uninstall.. such as Astro - I never use it, my explorer of choice is rootexplorer, but now that it's integrated into the ROM i can't uninstall it. I can see where this makes sense for certain apps such as superuser or busybox, but astro and other apps? I just really dislike it when roms do that. This particular rom doesn't include a lot of item(s) but I'd love it if you put out a "clean" version that didn't include items such as astro (which I think is the only item you included). Anyway I digress, thanks again for this.
I have two questions about this ROM:
1.-Is it possible to hide the clock from status bar? and,
2.-How to enable wake system from trackball?
Thanks for your answers

This can certainly be done. Keep in mind that this is just the first release, you can't expect everything on the first go.
@attn1 Check your PM... ;-)
Installation error. I tried to install this ROM from clockwork (rebooting into this via plugging in the power and reboodting) and then it gave me an error saying the following... please help
Can’t symlink /system/bin/bugreport
E: failure at line 10: symlink dumpstate system:bin/bugreport installation aborted
what should I do??
Small update, still working on this ROM.
V0.2 changes:
Changed to CorvusKernel 0.1
Added reboot option to power menu
Added file manager
New ClockWorkMod recovery
Would like to use one of these overclock kernels, but I get different issues with them when applying to a stock ROM. So for now I have to stick to the CorvusKernel 0.1
Download from here.
2 Ways of installation:
1) Gambaro ROM V0.2
Download ZIP file, copy to your SDcard and use ClockWorkMod to flash it.
2) Gambaro ROM V0.2 NV
Get the ROM from my Downloadpage.
Unzip it to a folder.
Switch off your tablet
Connect USB cable to PC
Boot into NVidia recovery by pressing back button 2 seconds, while holding back button press power button for 2 seconds, while still holding back button release the power button, then release the back button after 2 more seconds
Start lvds.bat and the ROM will be flashed.
If you get problems with the USB drivers or have other difficulties, check ”Advent Vega ? ROMs / Software Updates / Guides / How Tos, Links to ROMs, Flash Updates, Guides, Misc apk’s” on MoDaCo. There you find help for nearly every possible problem.
Have fun and give me feedback.
And as usual: You use this ROM on your own risk. I am not responsible if you break your device, loose warranty, get into a fight with your wife or loose important company data from your SDcard.
More pictures and the download are on my website.
V0.1 Changes:
Removed unnecessary apps like Korean Keyboard, Market replacement apps (didn't work anyway), LiveWallpapers, iFilemanager (FC with BuzzVega Kernel 0.7), help guides, ...
Updated APN list
Changed hosts file with ads block
Replaced wpa_supplicant for access to AdHoc WiFi accesspoints
Changed to Buzz Vega Kernel 0.7
Added new bootloader.bin for BSOD fix.
Added ClockWorkMod recovery and reboot APK from Paul
Added my mod of the NI keyboard
And of course it has the Messaging app, so you can send and receive SMS and MMS.
And just in case someone needs I added Titanium Backup and Visionary Root
And of course the main Google apps -> Market, Gmail, Contacts and Calendar
I kept the original launcher and added the VTL launcher, but its easily upgradeable, as it is installed in /data/app/
I kept as well the Adobe Flash Player V10.1.120.10, as it was coming with the original ROM.
On the graphic side I changed the status bar to a smaller one and replaced the red home/menu/back buttons with green ones. I replaced as well the blue 3G/E/G icon against green ones. The standard wallpaper is my favorite picture of Mount Fuji.
And here are some screenshots:

Sorry, flash with CWM is not possible yet. I do not like the stock ROM method as well, but still trying to figure out how to move to CWM flashable ZIP file version.
At the moment, I end always up with a bootloop.
Positive with this version is that with one flash you get the ROM and CWM and BSOD and Kernel installed.

Did you enable location by WiFi in the settings?
To be honest, I did not try this function yet, as I use my HTC Desire with GPS to set my location.
Will try to find the problem and how to fix it. Seems to be a problem with stock ROMs.
one finger typed from my Android tablet, please excuse misssprllings
Thanks for you reply.yes i enabled it in settings.i think it must be a problem with something thats not used in cm7 and corvus vega rom 0.5. Its not a big issue but it just made me wonder why it wasn't working.

Now before i go and give links and all that stuff, i wanna get a few things out about this ROM...All i will be doing is keeping it updated with what TSM is doing with it...I take absolutely no credit for any of this other than the fact i edited what needed edited to get it working on the mesmerize!!!
Extra Credit to nitsuj17 for letting me copy any of his write up that i needed...made this a lot easier!!!
***Warning: EC09 is notorious for either wiping/corrupting/destroying sdcards...in testing com rom was doing this to some folks as well..use a backup card, or just deal with the risk...dont cry to us about ur borked card!****
I am in no way responsible for what you do to your phone. You take all responsibility for flashing this ROM and anything that happens with you phone!!!
*So what is Com Rom/UGB then? Basically it was the next stage in adrynalyne's superclean roms which have been going since dl09 (and since dio1 through jt1134). Its a stripped down version of touchwiz (in this case EC09 gingerbread) with enhancements/mods/themes...basically more functionality.
Highlights: (as of 0.2.1)
*includes tsm parts: see sbrissen's thread for specific mods added
*gingerbread themed (frameworks, sys ui, settings, dialer, phone, music, browser, contacts, camera..more to come)
*deodexed
*rooted with super user
*busybox
*tweaked minifree settings
*advanced power options
*working ec09 browser downloads
*new market
*ads blocked by host file
*6th toggle added to status bar pulldown power controls (vibrate/sound)
*clean text on toggles (auto rotation to rotation, mobile data to data)
*launcher2
*appwidgetpicker (boombuler)
*pacman apk from cm included, on first market usage post wipe it will give you the option to select a few common apps rather than search the market for them
*latest gapps (including google +, and google car home instead of tw version)
*overscroll glow
*aosp weather/news, deskclock
*microbes lwp, and nexus lwp
*8 tab browser (i9000, from nameless)
*egl fix from nexus s (should fix blurry icons)
*market fingerprint for nexus s to fix apps not showing in market
*lots of tw/vzw removed (launcher, widgets, vzw apps, etc)
*crt screen off (must not turn animations all off in spare parts)
*system ui transparency enabled
*rfs kernel (optional): stable adb (wont show debugging/storage on boot with cord plugged in, but adb works), boot animation support

***SDCARD Stuff***
(This is only my opinion and may or may not help those with issues)
-i recommend properly mounting and unmounting your sdcard with each use...meaning dont just yank out the usb cord or reboot (recovery or otherwise) with the card mounted as a usb devices. Doesn't hurt anything to do this and *might* help keep your card intact.
-if you card gets borked (you see the blank sdcard/format message in android), first try and format in cwr, rather than in android or on your computer...fixed my card up, ymmv <-----nitsuj17's words!!!
Known Issues
*if you boot with usb plugged in, adb works, but debugging/usb storage wont show as available, unplug and replug ur connector
*ec09 eats sdcards...om nom nom
*MIUI lockscreen when plugged in will tend to run your processor at or near maximum mhz. (seems to do this on most phones)..you may choose not to use it when plugged in
*calendar fc on google cal apt ringtone notification (to fix this change from the default ringtone and you SHOULD be good to go)
*manage applications fc in settings
*MMS don't work for the Mesmerize yet, hopefully this will be fixed soon!!!
***MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR SDCARD ON YOUR COMPUTER***
Instructions
***again ec09 eats sdcards...use a backup card if you can!!!
Installing Com Rom
Method A (coming from voodoo froyo or eclair)
1. download rom with kernel (or have a gb kernel on sdcard to flash)
2. move to your sdcard
3. boot into cwr and disable voodoo (if using a cwr w/o voodoo controls, must create disable-lagfix file and reboot once before going to cwr)
4. reboot to allow conversion
5. boot back into cwr
6. wipe data/cache/davlik cache (if you dont, expect issues...and also dont bother bug reporting..we wont help you!)
7. select install from sdcard
8. select rom .zip
9. reboot
10. wait 5+ minutes for phone to boot up (it takes awhile)
11. profit (or not if it bootloops)

5. select install from sdcard
6. select rom .zip
7. reboot
8. wait 5+ minutes for phone to boot up (it takes awhile)
9. profit (or not if it bootloops)
Method C (flashing over ext4 gb kernel)
1. download rom sans kernel
2. move rom to sdcard
3. boot into cwr
4. wipe data/cache/davlik cache (if you dont, expect issues...and also dont bother bug reporting..we wont help you!)
5. select install from sdcard
6. select rom .zip

Thanks Tator! Great work getting this out to us!
Sorry to expose my noobness here, but I thought there was a logical naming scheme for these rom versions, like ee19 is after ec10. Now this is ec09, but its GB? Does netflix work with this rom, like it does with miui?

It's a fascinate test build of gingerbread TW and must have been completed around the same time our froyo got finished up.
Has anyone actually applied this? Why was this put here and not on rootz? What is the difference between this and MIUI or CM7?

this is a Touchwiz based ROM made from the EC09 gingerbread leak for the samsung fascinate
Baked_Tator wanted me to let you know he is going to be gone for a week. So if anything happens while he is gone he will update when he gets back.
Thank you
OFFICIAL GINGERBREAD FOR THE EPIC HAS ARRIVED.THIS ROM IS OBSOLETE!
*Stable* stock Gingerbread for the Epic
This is the stock EH17 leak with all of the important stability fixes and a few bug fixes baked in. This ROM is very stable. It doesn't reboot randomly and the GPS does not lock up.
The ODIN/Heimdall version is based on the Stock Deodexed EH17 tar released by crawrj
The CWM Version is based on the EH17 update.zip by Decad3nce
Modifications to the original EH17 leak are:
mkasick's 10/19 kernel, based on official source
Necrosan's Hotspot Hack
hienkhieu's GPS Fix
fix for mount command: For brain-dead root apps that only know how to do `mount -o remount,rw /system`
Latest Superuser.apk and su binary integrated
Along with the people noted above, a big thanks to chris41g for his cheat sheet on how to make a tar for ODIN.

Is this a 7zip or is it a tar that you compressed into a 7zip?

It's a tar file compressed with 7zip. Unzip before flashing. I clarified the first post.

Just an FYI - I was checking this out and when I use ODIN I don't have to unzip the file first - ODIN recognizes the download file as a TAR file -- I unzipped it as you suggested here - but when I went to find the file in ODIN to insert in the PDA slot, it recognized both the original file and the one I extracted as a tar file...
that leads me to beleive at you don't have to unzip it first - you can just odin the file you downloaded.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't think mkasicks kernel fixes the memory leak issues and reboots that are inherent in eh17. I was reading the thread and people still seem to be getting reboots. I do hope its truly gone in this build, but kinda doubting it since i've seen the reboots on every eh17 ROM i've tried.
EDIT: Forgot to add, thank you for your work on this toadlife.

This is identical to my current setup sans the hotspot hack. Gps works great, and although not completely gone, reboots are far and few between. This is my current daily and loving it!

OK, once again, reboots are not caused by these mythical memory leaks. It is a voltage issue that so far has been fixed for most with mkasick's kernel and also Rodderik's alpha test that he ran on IRC. So called memory leaks are apps sucking down your memory and not giving it back. Just download Memory Booster Lite and look at all the crap in the task killer sucking your memory dry! I ran a few EH17 ROMs. The worst case after clearing apps with memory booster lite was after 3 days I could not recover 30MB. I went from 206MB free at boot to 173MB free clearing tasks. I would not call this a memory leak in any sense of the word. It is more likely caches filling up and not releasing that 30 MB.
Reboots are caused by partial wakes from deep sleep period! Easily fixed with Tegrak/SetCPU combination as posted in General. I am on my 6th day testing Rodderik's kernel with no reboots without the Tegrak/SetCPU fix.

Lockscreen Mod
So...I tried Maddoggins lockscreen mod and got force closes and the modem wouldn't connect. I guess I'll try decadence's rom over this, then try the lockscreen mod. I hope putting decadence's rom over this doesn't change any of the stability fixes here.
Update: I tried Decadence Rom then the lockscreen mod and got the same results. Must be a problem with the lockscreen mod.

You can always apply these stability fixes yourself on any EH17 based ROM if you don't want a stock ROM. The kernel, hotspot hack and gps fix are all distributed through zips that are flashable with CWM.

Did you clear cache and Dalvik cache after flashing the mod?
This is starting to look like my girlfriends next rom lol what do u guys think?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
You know, i actually did some Comparison on the voltage for the CPU frequencies from Froyo to gingerbread and i realized that because samsung has been trying to undervolt our cpu and has failed miserably, most if not all of the random reboots are from this. I used Tegrak to fix the problem and haven't had a random reboot since.

I suppose I could. I can live without the lockscreen mod. I just went back to using your stock EH17 with the fixes. I just added CRT off and Overscroll. Not sure how to add the 1% battery mod, so I just added an app with that.
Thanks for the reply and your hard work.

I cleared cache and Dalvik before adding the mod. I tried several times, odining back to deodexed rooted stock, then wiping 3x, then flashing Decadence's Stock Rom, then wiping 3x, then adding the mod. Didn't seem to work for me. It worked in the past, but after a day or two, I would lose the contact icon and I would not be able to open contacts. That's ok, I don't need it anyway.
Thanks for your reply
It is nice that you added Heimdall. I use that a lot to swap out recovery or param.ifs or modems. People should not be afraid. It is more robust than odin with a lot less failures.

Yeah I thought it was only for Linux and OSX, before someone mentioned that it works in Windows the other day. After checking it out I don't understand why anyone here uses ODIN.
I originally tried the EH17 leak, and due to reboots and GPS issues, I went back to EC05.
I saw this post yesterday, and I couldn't resist, and after a day of testing, I've had zero reboots, GPS works perfectly, and battery life is also better than stock EC05.
This truly feels like an official release.
AND now that it appears that Gingerbread is the Galaxy S final update (Even though the equivalent speced Nexus S is getting it), I have all my hopes on Cyanogen for the Epic to be completed with Wimax support and everything to get my Ice Cream Sandwich.
I really think that since carriers use two year contacts as the industry standard, oems should really support their phones for two years, but this isn't the case, so we are lucky to have great devs on XDA.
I appreciate all the hard work.
