[APP] Advanced Wifi Lock V1.3 (13 May 2011) - Android Apps and Games

Hey guys, I created an app to help with the wifi sleep problems on the ZTE blade/Orange San Francisco, it might be useful for other phones or tablets (NOOK). (Where the phone does not obey the android wifi sleep policy and wifi disconnects every time you turn the screen off)
It grabs a wake lock as you turn the screen off (if you have wifi enabled). It should prevent wifi from being disconnected.
Other features
Optional timeout, so wifi and the wakelock will automatically be disabled after 20 minutes (failsafe)
Automatically disable wifi and wakelock if you get disconnected from your Access Point. (optional)
Since it prevents the phone from sleeping, it will consume more power, but AFAIK it's the only workaround.
If you have wifi sleep problems, try it out and let me know if it works on your device
There's also a paid version with a widget and customisable timeout.

Requires Android 2.1.

I've had feedback, and it seems to work on the nook (mostly), Vodafone 945, Sapo A5 (blade), IS06.
Apparently does not work for the Dell streak or Droid 2.
V1.2 changelog:
• Should work on more devices (Holds WiFi lock & Wake Lock now)
• Will now check Android system Wifi Sleep Policy is set to 'never' on each startup

Some users were finding Wifi would turn off after several hours, which should be fixed in this update (1.3).

[WIDGET] Tiny Battery Widget

Hi,
after trying many battery widgets and all were missing some features from others, i made my own inspired by those i tried.
i would like to receive some feedback from real users as i have only two devices for testing. in current state it is a 1x1 widget showing battery level called Tiny Battery Widget. the battery icon has three sizes: big (default), normal and tiny. colors and the levels at which the colors change are also customizable.
battery level is reported in 1% steps also for motorola phones. it is a precise value, not an estimate. it was reported to wrok on a droid x. please let me know if it works on other motorolas or not. are there any other phones that report battery level in 10% steps by default? report every issue in this thread, thank you.
after clicking the battery icon a system settings toggler dialog shows and users can switch some system settings:
- turn WiFi on/off
- turn Bluetooth on/off
- turn GPS on/off
- turn mobile data on/off
- turn airplane mode on/off (optional, enable in settings)
mobile data switch toggles only mobile data, mms will always work. it is compatible with APNdroid and if the APNdroid is installed it toggles the mobile data through it (so mms could be also disabled).
the dialog also provides a quick access to WiFi/BT/GPS/APN settings and can be automatically closed after some events e.g. WiFi connected/disabled, BT enabled/disabled (check the settings).
internet access is for Ads only and GPS is for quick enable/disable only.
uninstall with mobile data enabled or you will have to manually edit APN names to enable it (or just install back the Tiny Battery Widget or APNdroid to re-enable mobile data).
this widget was made for me, and released to public. looking forward to your feedback and enjoy!

Great! Usefull little tool. I love all these small apps that enables my phone to do "everything"!
Version 1.1
I've added option to vibrate in 1.1.
I think that next version should have option to chime at x:30 (x:15 and x:45 after that) with option to set different chime (sound).
thanks. can't wait for the rest.
Love this app, great sounds !
In version 1.2 as said before:
NEW: added option to set hourly chime at :30
FIX: when clock mode was set to am/pm mode name displayed for 12 am/pm was incorrect
+ 1
Hello. I have added option to chime in :15 and/or :45 minutes .
1.4:
Added setting whether to play chime if wired headset is connected (playing or not) - for Android >2.0.
Added setting whether go play chime if bluetooth headset adapter is connected.
Added setting to play chime only when phone screen is on - ie. play chime in night hours only when phone screen is on.
I think that in next release I'll add option to define unlimited number of chimes. Currently they are placed in memory and only 3 available.
1.5
So far settings were kept in memory and there were only 3 chimes. Now settings are kept in database and there is unlimited number of chimes. You might need to reinstall application.
1.6
Added option to backup/restore settings.
Improved GUI.
Fix for some MIUI and CaynogenMod devices.
Added option to translate app - translations placed in email.
Added support for devices up to 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

[APP][ROOT][TABLET] Tablet Auto Power Off ★ root

How many time do you forget your tablet powered on?
I leave my tablet powered on every time I've used it.
Many times when I try using it again, I always find the battery dead!!
Yes my tablet (and perhaps any android tablet) goes in "deep sleep" (like standby) but it doesn't power off when I don't use it for a while.
To avoid this problem I've created this app, that helps you to poweroff ( shutdown / power off ) your tablet every time you leave it on, up to selected time.
This app checks the screen of the tablet. When you turn off the screen "Tablet Auto PowerOff" starts a timer to automatically shut down your tablet!
Configure it only one time, like any other Operating System ( Windows / Linux / MacOS ), then you can forget about it, the app will be silent and automatic.
You can set TWO types of controls:
*) Time Interval: you can set a time based control: when your screen will be off for a given time your tablet will be powered off.
*) Battery Level: You can choose to set the automatic shut down when battery is lower than a chosen battery percentage.
What are you waiting for? Just try this ultimate battery saver!

hmm tell me how is it battery saver when basiclly the app run in the background all the time in the deep sleep
This should be in the Paid Software Announcement and Discussion forum.
Is there any configration file that i can edit time in manually and then activate it through the app? I found an xml but it only contained true or false for enable.

[Q] Stamina mode not working? Awake for too long! [SOLVED]

Hello.
Z3 D6603, Lollipop stock, not rooted, Central Europe 1, unlocked. - Clean Flash 5 days running.
Wifi - on/Mobile data - always on (3g only)/Location on - high accuracy/Lifelog - on/BT - off/Stamina mode - on (all the bells and whistles)/Smart lock - off/ Sync - On/ Brightness - 25% Auto.
Normal usage: Chrome browsing, 9gag, fb, fb messenger, whatsapp, 3 mails on sync (gmail and 2 other on stock email app), about 2-3 h of talk time, Music - about 1 h /day, about 10 minutes of Clash of Clans /day, and auto-backup via Qnap Nas app only on wi-fi at home (morning and evening).
On KK - used to get about 4.5-5h SOT / day - would plug in at about 24-01 to charge with 10-13%. Stamina worked accordingly - Screen off - Phone sleeping/no notifications - Battery predictable
On LLP - i get from 2h to 6 h SOT / day - have to plug in at 22 to charge with 5-10%. Although stamina is on, i still get notifications while the screen is off, and the phone stays awake for a long time. - Battery unpredictable

In general, the phone stays awake as long as it is on mobile data, when it's on wifi, it behaves like it's supposed to.
By comparison, my gf has a Z3c, same type of usage, same network. Dirty flash - The phone behaves as it should - awake time normal - battery predictable - about the same like it was on KK
My question : Anybody else encountered this problem? Suggestions to fix these annoying wakelocks? Is it a known bug? Would a 3rd clean install fix it?
Thank you, and best regards.
It appears that Lifelog kept Stamina from kicking in.... Never left lollipop go to sleep.
Turned it off - Will come back tomorrow to post results.
For now, it appears that my problem is solved. Lifelog bug on lollipop.
// L.E. 24h after Lifelog was turned off:
PROBLEM SOLVED.

[APP][2.2+] Shake Flashlight App! ?? (no root)

Shake Flashlight App! lets you configure shake for torch, background mode, use screen light or LED and more.
There are millions on flashlight apps out there, none had the customization options I wanted and often required root or included spyware. So I made my own... :good:

}
When you first open the app a dialog will allow you to set recommended settings. The recommended settings activate the following options: Start flashlight when app launches, Vibration feedback, Shake for torch and Run in background (so shake for torch can be used at any time - even with the screen off).
By tapping the settings button you can change any settings such as using the screen as the flashlight instead of the LED, you can also choose to have the screen remain on when the app is open.
This app only needs the camera permission (to use the camera's LED).
You can customize the shake strength. On my Nexus 5x and Galaxy S8 for an easy to activate nightlight I use Shake strength 30-40, otherwise about 70 is better for preventing accidental shakes - A karate chop gesture should do the trick
It's now in version 1.1, I've added more features such as an automatic off timer option where you can configure a timeout.
I've tried to keep the app easy to use with a clean appearance whilst still having plenty of customization options. Any suggestions for any features people would like to see added would be great....The only additional tweaks I can think of at the moment are customizable backgrounds within the app and configurable vibration strengths... but this would probably be overkill for a lightweight torch app!
Download:
I've attached the latest APK (it's around 1.5MB), it's also on the Play Store too
* Edit 24/04/2019 - Updated APK (to allow the app to work on newer versions of Android). Background and screen off responsiveness varies by device. Definitely recommend you disable battery optimisations for the app for better reliability.
