I have my At-t mobile, but I want to travel for UK for 5 months, then I will travel to Spain, here I have to unlock my mobile; I read about this in many sites also in this forum, but I didn't find an answer, can you help me??

Hi guys,
I have problems registering my O2 XDA mini so i was unable to download O2 plus for my device. It seems that the IMEI is not recognized by O2.
I bought this from a friend and he told me that this was given to him as a gift by his relative that lives outside our country (The box and manual are in German.). He hasn't use this because he already have an O2 XDA IIi so he decided to sell it.
Questions:
1.) Is it really necessary to register my device?
2.) Is there any other alternative site where i can download any updates?
Any advise will be highly appreciated. Thanks and have a nice day.

if its to register the sim just give them another phones imei as it makes no difference

There might be an answer there. Alternatively, you could try calling T-Mobile and ask them to unlock it for you. For the most part, they do it for free (if you are a subscriber). Just tell them that you are traveling overseas and need it to connect to local providers (or use a prepaid sim or something like that).

My girlfriend(who lives in Tokyo) is about to purchase either a used Softbank X05HT or DoCoMo HT-01A off an auction site, for usage outside of Japan with an European SIM-card.
With problems unlocking some of the X01HT models, we're worried whether it's possible to just purchase a used one, and then flash it (hardSPL -> CID/SIM unlock -> some English ROM).
Does the Radio of the device need to be something specific or anything like that?
We're most likely going to get the X05HT - IF it's possible to use it of course.
- I have read through all posts concerning the japanese models, but never found the answer i'm looking for. So, sorry for creating this topic, but I'm kind of desperate.
If you'd please be kind and tell me whether it's possible or not.

Hi - I read about HTC Sensation XE, 4G etc - how do I know which model my phone is?
Also I am living abroad from the UK and need to use a SIM from another phone company so I need to unlick my phone. Is the a FREE way to do thas apart from going to one of those web sites that unlock it for a fee?

Hey Guys, I just got a question. I've just recognized that phones from any foreign country are usually cheeper than in Germany. So would a phone from a foreign countrywork in germany ?

No i can't sorry was just a general question but I like the new google edition of the m7 and the s4. So they would work if they are gsm and not sim locked ?
