[Q] Samasung Galaxy Tab Bluetooth to GM car sterso - General Questions and Answers

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab, rooted. I've found that the Bluetooth is problematic at best. I've been able to pair it with my Samsung SCH-U470 (Juke) cell phone and with my Sony UX-50 Clie PDA, but not with the two devices I'd really like to: my Motorola H-250 Bluetooth headset and the stereo in my Hummer.
The Juke phone connects to the car just fine. I put the car into discoverable mode but the Tab never even sees it.
I applied the etc/bluetooth/audio.conf described here: <http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-795691.html> but it didn't help.
I got rid of auto_pairing.conf by renaming it to auto_pairing.conf.old. That didn't help either.
I'm about out of ideas. Can anyone help? Thanks!

[Q] Connecting Galaxy Tab(SCH-I800) to Elantra Stereo via Bluetooth

First time poster, desperate for a solution.
The Equipment:
Galaxy Tab(SCH-I800) through Verizon
2012 Hyundai Elantra
G'zOne Ravine
The Vision:
Mounting my tablet to my dash, streaming audio to my car stereo via bluetooth.
The Situation:
I have paired my phone and tablet to my car. Tab recognizes the car, car recognizes the tab, everything is peachy. When scrolling through my audio source options (FM1, FM2, AM1, AUX, Phone) I can select Phone, which is connected to my Ravine. In this mode, every possible sound is streamed through my car stereo (even beeps while texting).
I have an option to make my tab the Priority in Bluetooth. When this happens, the audio source option skips from AUX to FM1, eliminating Phone. I also get a message in my car that says connection failed.
If I try to us Share Via Bluetooth on my tab, using Music Player, Youtube, or Netflix, I get an error that says file not sent (Understandable because it is not connected to anything)
What I've Tried:
-Checked Hyundai Forums: They blamed the tab and directed me to XDA.
-Checked Galaxy Tab/Android Forums: They blamed Verizon who apparently cripple functionality of their products (Bluetooth)
-I have read through your wiki, searched QA and Galaxy Tab threads.
-Watched numerous youtube videos on Bluetooth, Connecting Tabs to Audio, and Connecting Galaxy Tab to anything bluetooth.
Before you ask...
***These are all questions I have been asked on other forums***
-The volume is up on my tab.
-The car is on.
-The tab is in discoverable mode.
-I have deleted my phone and tried without the phone in my car.
-I have downloaded BlueAudio App
-Yes the auxillary cable works, but it is not optimal.
Looking forward to you help and suggestions! I hope I met all your standards based on your hilarious and informative noob video

Yes you can see who's calling, and if they are in the address book their name will also appear (in Greek too ),otherwise only the phone number, i have this bluetooth handsfree device, i find it very good with great battery time, plus it has the radio that is missing from the S4, whenever you receive a call while the radio is playing, the radio will stop and you can reply to the call.
The best thing is that you can plug any headphones that you want because the ones that are included are really crappy.
You can also connect them with your pc (if you have bluetooth there) and listen music other there, you can have at anytime 3 devices registered, but you can always register more by overwriting the others
Hope i helped.
Nick

You have installed any app at your samsung galaxy s4 to show the names at mw600 headset?
Sony MW600 Connection Problems with Samsung Galaxy S4
Hi - I have Sony MW600 Bluetooth headset, which I used to connect with my S2 and worked very well. After upgrading my phone to S4, I am not able to pair my MW600 with S4. The device doesn't appear in the list when I scan. It still works with my S2.
Update: After the post I received on my reply, I searched on net on how to connect with MW600 as I thought I might be doing something wrong. The last time I connected this device to a phone was almost 2 years ago. And it turned out to be my mistake,
I am able to connect my MW600 Bluetooth head set with Samsung Galaxy S4.
Sorry for the confusion.
I believe you do something completely wrong.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7, Multiple Bluetooth Audio Devices possible?

Just got a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7, Android 6.0.1. Used to have a Motorola/Lenovo Droid Turbo, Android 5.x up until last week.
I have my Plantronics Bluetooth Voyager Legend and Panasonic Link 2 Cell cordless phone with BT configured on the old phone and on the new phone.
On the old phone (Motorola), if I was connected to the Panasonic device, I couldn't use the Plantronics headset. I would have to disconnect the Panasonic BT device and then connect the Plantronics.
On the new phone (S7), if I have both BT devices turned on. I can see them both connected to the S7. It says "DECT KX-xxxx" connected for call audio, and "PLT_Legend connected for call and media audio".
So is this a new feature for the S7 or Android 6.x? or is something funky going on with my phone, where it mistakenly is semi-connected to both devices?

Issues Using BT Headset with Phone When Gear S2 is Connected

Hey Guys -
I've had my Gear S2 for a few months now and even though I enjoy it, have a nagging issue I can't seem to fix. I've searched everywhere and tried a few things, but no luck.
My Issue
My Gear S2 is obviously connected to my phone via bluetooth most of the time. If / when I power on my headset (M 165), it does not work as phone still goes to the Gear S2. In Bluetooth Settings, it shows both connected, but the M165 says "(No Phone) behind it. The only way I can use the headset is if I turn off bluetooth on my Gear S2. The same thing happens when I connect to my car's bluetooth as it says "No Phone" too. (see attached screenshot)
What I've Tried
- Disabling "Phone Audio" for the Gear S2: When I do this, the watch disconnects from BT. When I reconnect it, Phone Audio is enabled again
- Bluetooth Auto Connect: I installed this and set the Gear S2 to enable everything but Media and Call audio then set the headset to have only those two enabled. Didn't make a difference when testing as things still connected the same way
- Tasker: I've tried using a variety of plugins to get things to connect correctly, but still no go
Specs
- Phone: HTC One A9 / Marshmallow 6.0.1 / Rooted / s-off
- Watch: Gear S2 / Latest Firmware
- Headset: PLT_M165
Any suggestions? Am I perhaps using Bluetooth Auto Connect wrong? Thanks!
Have you tried another Bluetooth headset? I recommend you to try it if you didn't. I am not experiencing this issue and here is my setup:
I have Note 5 with latest Android 6.0.1 available.
Gear s2 (3g/4g model from T-Mobile) with latest firmware available.
I have Jawbone ERA (few year old model)
I also have Plantronics Legend
When watch is connected to my phone and then I connect any of the above Bluetooth headsets to my phone, then I am able to make/received calls on the headsets and in Bluetooth settings I see "phone" where as your pictures show as "no phone".
How did you connect your watch to your phone by just pairing via Bluetooth or through Gear Manager app?
I have this same issue with my Pixel 2XL it seems that having a samsung phone fixes this issue but any other android phone will exhibit this issue. if you disable phone call audio to the watch everything else will work properly. but you cannnot take calls on the watch.
Has anyone found a better fix then this???

Bluetooth pairing problem.

Hi,
I try to connect my S6 7.0 Stock to my cars bluetooth (BMW Z4 from 2006). I can find the bluetooth and enter the code. On the cars screen I see a message that the pairing was successful. But the phone just shows the bluetooth devices screen. When I click on the car's bluetooth, I'm asked to enter the code. So the phone doesn't know that the pairing was successful.
How to troubleshoot this? Could it be a problem with 7.0? Since I know that people can connect their S6 to their car, but no idea what Android Version. And I can connect an iPhone to the bluetooth without a problem.
Thank you
