[Q] Newbie help Rooting Galaxy S I9000

Hi all
Firstly I apologise if this is in the wrong forum as im new to the site, I have searched the forums and followed all instructions supplied on how to root the Galaxy S 2.2 using the oneclick method. All goes well but after I apply the fix in recovery mode I keep getting an error E:signature verification failed Installation aborted.
Im just wondering if im doing anything wrong, as I said I have searched through the forums but I cannot find a solution to my problem.
I have just recently got the phone and its on Vodafone UK, all was fine at start until i started to install apps and now it just keeps freezing and lagging big time. below is the details of firmware etc.
Thanks in advance.
Samsung Galaxy S I9000
Vodafone UK
Firmware 2.2
Baseband Version I9000BUJP5
Kernal Version 2.6.32.9 root SE-S611 #1
Build Number FROYO.BUJP7
I only rooted mine the other day. everyone was telling me to do it through my pc but i just couldnt do it. so i entered z4root into google on my phone and went to the android version and found a download there and put it straight onto my phone. took 2 mins. hope this helps.
danny
I have downloaded that z4root but was told the oneclick was easier, does this z4root have all the files necessary to root the phone or do i need to download anything extra to root the phone.

Have you had any luck with this yet.? Ive been trying to find out more but every single time soneone asks they never get a answer coz its always the next question that does lol. Its all JVO this or JVP that or JVQ whatever however it aint helping us when we have numbers on the end.just if someone could explain the difference..im guessing its versions of the firmware kind of..Im sure JVO was Froyo but does our GB JV end with Q or P? so why not say JVQ5 or JVP5 instead be easier for us noobs to understand quicker without bothering others or be told off for it already been asked even though i cant find anything coherent lol

[Q] Help getting ROM installed for SCH i619

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace SCH i619. I bought it in China, where I live, from China Telecom. I wanted to root it and install a new ROM on it after I read about it and decided it would be nice. I was finally able to root it after a lot of time and effort, but I cannot get a ROM installed. I cannot flash anything to my phone and I am not sure why. I cannot get CWM to flash in any way (I've used Odin as well) and so cannot get a ROM installed. Is it that my phone just will not be able to do this, or does anyone have any ideas about what to do?
Thanks in advance!

It was unlocked using the software method..like when its on 4.1.1 u can go into settings and unlock. Not sure what its called but u guys know the method im sure. The guy did some patching to he said..Don't know anything about patching but the phone has odin mobile and super SU on it still and they are not in the file manager?? I am fairly new to this stuff..like I have had every android I have ever owned unlocked and rooted and wanted to stop paying for it so I started doing it myself. Only Samsung models so far and only using chainfire methods. When I try to root now it says it cant open/find? (CoM) port. Just wondering if anyone kniw anything I can do or what the problem may be? Dm-Vertify Bootloop

Hello today i come to you with the dm-vertify bootloop issue. I got stuck in this dilemma by attempting to SIM unlock to be able to use my Sprint Variant on T-Mobile and my stupid self was messing with settings i should have resulting in this. After research i have found that i need to flash with Odin using the stock Firmware firmware but i cant seem to find the exact firmware i need to un-brick my phone.
In the system recovery it lists "LMY47X.G925PVPU3BOL1" as the version of firmware my phone is currently running on. If anyone could help me Locate the appropriate download that would be much appreciated!
