Hello today i come to you with the dm-vertify bootloop issue. I got stuck in this dilemma by attempting to SIM unlock to be able to use my Sprint Variant on T-Mobile and my stupid self was messing with settings i should have resulting in this. After research i have found that i need to flash with Odin using the stock Firmware firmware but i cant seem to find the exact firmware i need to un-brick my phone.
In the system recovery it lists "LMY47X.G925PVPU3BOL1" as the version of firmware my phone is currently running on. If anyone could help me Locate the appropriate download that would be much appreciated!

You wouldn't mind sharing me your EFS, I went into deeper crap with an error saying device does not have drk please install drk first and the only way to bypass it is to root which I don't want to keep. Would really appreciate it if you could help me out :good:

Hi,
I am using samsung galaxy S5 SM-G900R7, i am able to root this phone then started trying flashing of custom boot.img contating custom zImage. ODIN is showing successful flashing , but when i am restarting its always going in download mode with error message "couldn't do normal boot" . In download mode there is a line "QUALOCM SECUREBOOT : ENABLE". I doubt this is beacuse of locked bootloader.
I want to know is it really beacuse of locked bootloader?
I downloaded kernel for my phone model from samsung official website mentioned below and built in same way they have given instruction, so i ahve less doubt on custom zImage.
http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=900r7
if yes then i have second question is it unlockable or not, i am not getting any unlocking method for samsung galaxy S5. whatever info i am getting regarding unlocking is upto galaxy S3 but not helpful for galaxy S5. PLease help me to come to a final conclusion on flashing custom zImage to phone.

As far as I'm aware most Samsung devices if not all have unlocked bootloaders, as for a soloution I haven't seen anything really but some say you need to re-flash stock then try from scrath or make a backup after reflashing stock and a custom recovery then format and restore to get it working.

Thanks a lot for your reply,
I searched regarding this and i found latest samsungs are coming with KNOX security in which SECUREBOOT is there, which doesn't allow phone to boot with any boot image if chacksum value doesn't match. so i feel even if bootloader is not locked here but same thng KNOX security is doing. Help me if you have any idea how to disable it in samsung galaxy S5. Getting way how to disable in previous series but not finding method how to do for galaxy S5.

Hi,
Yesterday night you posted a link, that link was good but still my requirement is different.Yesterday i was not able to go through whole link you provided to me, today i was reading the whole article. its looks like they are trying to save warrany of phone even after flashing custom ROM. They are deleting bootloader contents of flashing ROM, even i will flash custom ROM with deleted bootloader contents, In phone bootloader will remain same with KNOX SECUREBOOT feature. My target is to flash with KNOX disabled bootloader so it will not stop booting with custom zImage.

Actaully that link was removing KNOX from firmware which you are going to flash not from phone if you have already KNOX is there. That is for if your mobile is not having KNOX and you dont want KNOX when you are going to flash with recent updated firmware so you can delete KNOX contents from firmware and can flash.

Hmm, it appears it not possible due to it having a locked bootloader/KNOX not being removable

I guess it's just best to bide time and wait untill a concrete method has been developed
I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 G920A and I Tried to downgrade to 5.1.1 firmware. After flashing with odin it gets stuck at the Samsung boot screen. It will not enter recovery. I can only enter odin mode. I can only assume that marshmallow has locked in the bootloader so it cannot be downgraded. I recently found out you can unlock it but I do not have a way to as long as I cannot boot the phone. The only thing I can think of is to get a flashable, threw odin for the marshmallow firmware but I cannot find it online anywhere. If there is anyone who knows how to make one or has one already that can be uploaded, I would love to fix my softbricked phone.

I dont know anythinabout rooted phones. I have samsung galaxy j7oot but it is now through cricket wireless... some how i bricked the phone, i guess the previous owner had it rooted. It says (custom binary blocked by frp lock) in red at the top left of the screen and i dont know how to fix it. Pleas3 someone anyone help me! I need my phone for the baby sitter and work and i cant afford to by a new one at the moment! Im desperate!
Can you return it to the person you bought it from? Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like there's any easy way to fix it. Sorry.
By the way, in any internet forum, it's helpful and courteous to use an informative subject line. That way, people can scan the subject lines to see which topics they're interested in following or contributing to, and can find their way back to a thread they're interested in. You'll also get more helpful responses if you do that.
Good luck.
Fix Brick
First you should post in the S7 group, rhis us showing up in the S8 group...
You have probably lost everything on the phone, but may be able to fix it still...
You will need to find the stock ROM for your phone. It should be posted in the S7 forum. You will also need the ODIN software for your PC. Instructions for flashing the ROM using ODIN should also be in the forum.
Wish You luck!

I did this to myself when I enabled all the Google security and accidently unclicked oem unlock after I rooted the phone.
I ended up with the same msg. Couldn't get Into recovery.
I used smart switch on pc. Used emergency recovery entered my serial number. And it got me up and running.
Hi,
I was wondering if there is a root method for the Samsung Galaxy j7 Verizon's 2017 edition (SM-J727VPP). Is it even possible? I read that the bootloader for verizon phones are locked so you can't root them. Is this correct?
Thanks.
I'm on the same boat. I love the phone but not sure how to root it. Anyone know if the other root methods work for this phone?
I just bought this phone as well. Anyone dedicated into developing an unlock method for the bootloader and custom recovery would greatly be appreciated.

I haven't tried on this one yet (scared) but with Verizon's bootloader I know that its pretty much permanently locked.
... at the very least for now,
Meaning, it MAY be possible to get root BUT that would b where the road ended... no custom roms.... etc.
Root better than nothing.

Maybe you can try the app in this video for Windows looks like it has a big list of various Samsung models
I tried the link in the video but it takes you to a 4shared link that seems kind of spammy so I searched for the file on Google and found it eventually about to try it on the PC right now..
Tried it its a jtag app that need a box to flash firmware
We need to find a 7.1 n root exploits that work or find a way to dump the firmware I can't find any restore firmwares online yet

I have the stock firmware for j727VPP, the QB2 bootloader version to be exact, which is stock. It's Odin flushable , if u need it for any reason restore or w.e let me know n send me an email @ [email protected] . Also, Verizon just came out with a update for j727vpp which changed the bootloader to QF3. Do not update, otherwise going back to QB2 will be near impossible and if anyone does come out with a root then it will be for the QB2, not EF3 bootloader. But, if u already did update and need the EF3 firmware for restore purposes I have that as well, except it is in a ENC4 format, which is a RAW format for firmware. U will need to decrypt it with 7Zip to Tar or Md5 in order to be able to flash it. Like i said email me - [email protected] and I'll provide u with whatever files u need.

Is there a working root method available for this phone yet? There are a few websites that claim to be able to root it, but I don't want to take a chance and brick my phone. Thanks.
Baseband version G930UUEU4BQH3
version 7.0
I'm trying to use ODIN version 3 with CF-Auto-Root-heroqlteue-heroqlteue-smg930u.tar.md5 and it just keeps failing. Any idea why?
If you have the US version of the S7, you can't use CF Auto Root. Bootloader is locked.
EDIT: The number 4 in G930UUEU4BQH3 means you have the US variant. I rooted using this guide.

Research it first. A significant amount of existing devices are listed on XDA, rootable or not. The G930U CAN be rooted. Follow the guide I linked.

I downgraded to Marshmallow. I can't stand Nougat. It was a headache to root. If on Marshmallow, don't update SuperSU from the Play store. I've never seen that error before so I'm at a loss.

Look up the site sammobile. I'd link you but my life is packed away as I'm moving. Look up firmware G930U for 6.0.1. flash it in Odin then follow the steps in the thread I linked earlier, which I think was for 6.0 anyways. Without my PC I can't tell though.
---------- Post added at 04:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:32 AM ----------
Also, make sure the firmware has the number 4 in it like the one you have. The number 2 is for international phones aka not US ones.
