Hi, I would like to know why I didn't have the personal voice recognition on my Nexus S in the setting to check (I had a Nexus one and the option was there)
Settings -> Voice input & output -> Voice recognizer settings -> Personalized recognition
I can't see it why?

I would like to change my caller ID (settings -> personal -> Services -> caller ID) via changing registry value or with xml or with something... I would like to use it with XDA_UC... because when I hard reset my phone caller ID is automatically set to "no one" and I would like to change it to "everyone"...
thanks
and sorry if it is there but I tried to search...
Is there a program for the HD2 that will allow me to have the name on the person calling mentioned whilst ringing so I can hear who is calling?
I've tried Voice2go but that doesn't seem to work.
Thanx
Try Microsoft Voice Command. Works perfect for me
OK, I've install it on my HD2 but I can't find the program on the phone to try and set the settings. I click on start but the program isn't there, any ideas?
Also how do I map a button to activate voice command? when I go START > SETTINGS > MENU (ALL SETTINGS) > PERSONAL > BUTTONS, there are no buttons for me to select.
And you say this will actually say the persons name who is calling and not just the number when it rings?
I just checked mine(TmoUS HD2) and I have VC vers. 1.6.21892 preinstalled and after setting it to "announce incoming calls" it does speak the callers name.

Sooo i've always used google voice ever since it's implimentation and recently decided to call up t-mobile and get them to add visual voicemail to my plan considering it's a free subscription and all. So i called them up and since my phone is not t-mobile it wasn't in their features but they figured it out in no time and had it enabled on my plan. So i then downloaded the visual voicemail and after about 2 hours had it up and running correctly. But calling my voicemail still gave me google voice messages. So even after uninstalling and deleting processes and user data it was still forwarding incorrectly.
FIX! (make sure you change your voicemail service tab to "my carrier" DUH)
-menu
-call settings
-voicemail settings (write down the number)
-go down to call forwarding
-change the forward when busy to the (voicemail settings number)
-change forward when uinsanswered to the (voicemail settings number)
-change forward when unreached (voicemail settings number)
This fix works and WORKS GREAT!
I really couldn't find anything useful for this in any of my searches on here or even on google. So if i can at least help one other person i'm happy because uninstalling doesn't remove it at all you need to manually change it.
I am assigned to work on this imported MTK6516 PCBA. It is Android 2.2 with built-in dual SIM. To make outgoing telephone cellular telephone calls, the OS start dialog for user to select SIM1 or SIM2. These are unlock GSM mobiles.
My assignment is to make Google Voice to work.
I am able to install and receive incoming telephone calls.
However, I am unable to make outgoing Google Voice telephone calls.
The OS do not allow user the dialog of selecting Google Voice all or Cellular calls?
How do I make the fix to the OS to allow user to select Google Voice or Cellular calls?
Actually, in one of our old Samsung Galaxy Android 2.1 test units, there are additional selection dialog, such as asking user to select outgoing call by Skype, Google Voice, etc.
Thank you.
Is googlevoice installed? Search on the market. Then you can just click the app and dial when signed in

Unable to dial out to make Google Voice calls.
No dialog panel allow user to select :
"Complete Action using:
Dialer"
Call with Google Voice
Call without Google Voice"
When I click the "Phone" - all this phone is allow user to select dial using
SIM1
SIM2
No selection of Dialer between SIM or Google Voice.
Go into settings applications and click on dialer or phone (however the app is displayed on your device) and then clear defaults?

I am unable to make Google Voice out going telephone calls.
This Android OS was modified to make dual SIM operate & SIM standby mode.
Is there any where I can seek advice & help in the "dialer" inside the Android OS?
Thank you.
Hello All
Recently moved from iPhone to Samsung S6. Like anything new, it's been a bit frustrating. I'm now beginning to see the light! My main issue is with some voice. It's certainly no Siri. Can I get some assistance on how to use Google voice as my default voice to text. I drive all day and use Bluetooth. S voice is not doing the job for me.
Thx
Use Google now.It works really good.
Maybe you need siri[emoji12]
To disable S voice: Settings --> Applications --> Application manager --> S-Voice --> Press 'Disable'
