I'm wondering if anyone has a Google (HTC) desktop dock and the Seidio Innocase II.
1. Will the phone fit in the dock with the case on?
2. If you remove the bottom half of the Seidio, will the phone fit in the dock?
I know Seidio makes a dock, but I prefer the HTC one with the power pins.
Thanks.
I don't have that case but I do have the dock and after looking at the pictures of the case it seems unlikely the phone will fit, even with the bottom half removed. No case would be thin enough as it exactly matches the phones dimensions. Also the dock extends longer than the bottom half of the case and also wouldn't fit.
No, I have the dock and case and I have to remove the entire case before placing my nexus in the dock.

Just ordered my car dock, I was thinking about heading to the mall today and getting "ghost armor" full body protection to replace my hard case (since i cant use it with the dock.)
How tight is the dock? will the body protector film interfere with the mounting?
Bump.
Was just about to ask this same question. I'm looking for a nice car charging solution for my N1. A dock would serve double time on that front by giving me the option of using it for GPS too.
I'm curious if you guys who have the dock could tell me how exactly the dock charges ?
Also, do you think a full BSE skin will impede it fitting into the dock and/or charging?
Not being able to use my skin would be a dealbreaker for me Buttt I really like that car dock
Don't know exactly what casing/Skin you mean but invisishield is even to mUch to fit in the desktop dock much less the cAr dock. They are perfectly engineered. Great if you don't want a case on. Something I wish I had Ben told before Trying both.
Thank you! I will get a charger cord or something then
Ghost Armor, Ghost Armor, Ghost Armor!

I would like to get a case for my N1, but only after I can find a car dock that will accommodate the phone in its case. I have a proclip now which is excellent for the non-cased N1. Ideally I'd find a dock that was designed for a slightly thicker phone that will snuggly hold the cased N1.
Has anyone found a good solution?
I guess you could try those invisible skin "cases" which only protect it from scratches. I just ordered the Google car dock, but I have a Seido Innocase II, which will surely not fit in the dock. It's pretty easy to take the case off, so I'm not too concerned.
I have a Cas-mate Tough using it on my Nexus one, ist there any car dock that would fit?
Like Google's dock, or something similar, maybe?
Ok well ... I need some help here..
I'm thinking of getting this dock:

The case I'm looking for is this:

or
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/csr3hnx1-bk.htm
Now first thing.. how is the cases? Is it rubber or plastic? How easy is it to get it dirty?
And second question will the first case fit into the dock or will I have to remove it? Thanks.
I have the case-mate and I really like it. The phone fills much safer in my hand. It's a two part case, a soft inner part and a harder exterior plastic shell. I don't know of any docks that work with it though. I'll probably get another case-mate when I get a new phone.
Thats a really nice dock for as good price, if you're anywhere near Mississauga maybe you can order 2 and I'll pick it up from you... as for the case, I ordered mine from NexusOneaccessories.com and BestSkinEver.com. I like the look of the phone so I got a smoked gummy case which is transparent enough to show off the branding of the Nex. Based on experience, dust that gets in between the case and the phone still scratches the back thats why I got my BSE for added protection.
Just a tip...
Just so you guys know, the dock connects via the USB only, does not use the pins on the bottom of the Nexus One.
Also the phone sorta hovers/held by the USB only, so it can damage the port.
What desktop charging dock fits the Infuse in a Ballistic case?

Specifically for the Infuse? Few if any at all. I have the Samsung branded dock made for the Infuse and it fits very snug without a case, with my tpu case on it doesn't even go in the dock and if it did, the microUSB is a couple millimeters off due to the thickness of the case.
You could:
A. Make your own (seen some pretty damn cool custom ones for other phones)
B. Find one made for a thicker phone and retro-fit your Infuse
C. Look for a universal aftermarket type dock. (I've seen a few on Amazon)
D. Take the case off everytime you dock.
It's even worse now. The Infuse I bought came w/a Balistic case, so I need a dock that fits the Balistic.

I use the BAl case also haven't found a dock and don't think I will, but hey that sucker is well protected huh?
I usually take the outer rubber condom off and just use it like that with the hard case on, while at the office or home, but if I am out and about, I put the condom on...with clip...
One of these might work: LINK and LINK
Maybe...the prob I see is with the Bal Case, makes for bulk around the port, the regular usb cord just clears the case to plug in...I actually have stand that I set the phone in while charging, a document holder that someone would use when typing a document hold the phone upright.
similar to the picture attached, it sits on my nite stand by the bed...but it also hold my others phones also...LOL
The official wireless Qi charging door adds a few millimeters to the thickness. I had a Body Glove case over the phone but now it's a little tight and the case bows down the edge site.
Does anyone else have the wireless Qi door and case? If so, what case are you using and how well does it fit?
I found a partial answer here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/accessories/note-edge-flip-wallet-qi-wireless-t2950494
Following the instructions in that thread I was able to crack open the Samsung OEM Qi Charging Door, pull out the Qi charging pad, and "transplant" it into the original plastic battery door. It created some raised spots on the back but the door clips shut all the way around and you can barely tell there are any raised spots once you put a case around the phone.
My current case is a Body Glove Satin Series. With this modification the case fits pretty good with just a slight wobble when laying it flat.
Did anyone find an answer to this without doing the mod?
