[Q] How can i shift of use dump file?

i have telus fascinate galaxy s , but poeple said its captivate lol
anyway, i want to restore it b/c its bricked now and i download dump files, but i can only know about using Odin and put tar files in my fascinate,,
does anyone know how to shift dump files to tar files or anyone has the image of telus fascinate firmware?

okay guys long story short i flashed my phone with the wrong firmware. i have a sgs showcase from cellular south.
my phone gets stuck at the samsung logo, and plays the cellular south logo music. I believe reflashing it with odin using the stock firmware file will work, but i dont have one. PLEASE HELP omg please help. i think it'll be a .tar file right? and if i just redo what i just did using the right firmware it'll work? thanks so much. i cant say please enough
EDIT: by the way i can get to the android with the shovel and odin detects my phone. i just dont know how to go back to normal from there.

Wont CyanogenMod help??? Not quite sure what youre problem is, but anyway...

i flashed the fascinate recovery.tar to my showcase on accident and im trying to get my original back.

Go to the device forums and search for odin that will fix it all

find the right .tar file FOR YOUR PHONE!! ... Odin is pretty easy, if ur skeptical theres Youtube videos on it..

Never used Odin before. Is the tar file the only one I need to reset my Samsung Epic back to DI18 from EB13? Probably a dumb ? to you, but I'm new to this. THNX

[Q] Bricked Samsung Galaxy S i9000

Hi guys! I don't post here often so please go easy on me!
I have managed to brick my phone updating it from 2.2.1 through Samsung Kies. Now I don't really care how it is done, I just want my phone back with the stock firmware.
Worth noting, I kind of know how to use Odin, so if Odin is the route, if someone can point me in the right direction of a PIT and TAR file, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

does anyone know how to get a .pit file and a .tar file for the g2x so i can restore it via odin. i have a soft bricked g2x i really need feed back on what else i can do please any help would be awesome.

AFAIK Odin is just for Samsung phones.
