If I buy Titanium Backup to freeze apps - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

That I dont want (sprint) do i have to purchase it again when installing a new rom? For instance, I am using Mikfroyo 4.4 and added a theme RED.Mikfroyo, but it ha sprint bs on it. I want to freeze those. But what if I want to go back to my stock Evo and freeze apps, do I need to buy TB again? Thanks.

No. it's linked to your google account on the market.

[Q] HTC EVO

hey Im trying to delete all the bloatware from my evo but i dont wanna delete files that would my my smartphone lag or not work properly.
if one you pro could give me a list of all the bloatware that is safe to delete i would appreciate.
also i notice that with TI backup i can delete bloatware like nascar but i can only backup data i can't back up the apps, and i cant restore the app.
how can i back up the bloatware apps to be able to restore later on?
thank in advance for you help
ps. htc evo is already rooted.
Strange, using Titanium BU I was able to save those apps and then uninstall them. Haven't tried to reinstall them though.
Oh, and I deleted Nascar, Sprint NFL, Sprint Nav, Sprint TV and it's widget. Gonna use the phone for a week to see what else I don't need.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to elaborate on this?
The process you went through to achieve this, that is.
Thanks

You need root explorer or something. You can look at all of the files, get into the system directories, and delete most of this stuff.
I can't locate Sprint Football or Hotspot to remove them.

What's the best app that will backup everything.

Ok I had the titanium backup (free edition) and couple things I didn't like was when it backed up my apps it did it individual and I had to confirm it one by one. Another thing I didn't like was it didn't download from the market it installed like it was a cracked apk. So my question is was I having these issues because it was the free version or is this how the thing backs up. And if so, is there a back up that does it automatically and from the market install.
Try AppBrain.
The paid version is awesome, and automatically restores everything without confirmation. It's totally worth it if you flash new roms.
.
titanium pro...... hands down
Does it install the apps thru the market?
I use my backup pro and it works very well. Paid version.
sent from my iph...wait oops.
Titanium Backup just makes a copy of the app thats installed on your phone on your memory card. Once you restore your apps if you reboot your phone they should all be listed in the market again under downloads.
Titanium Backup +1
well worth the money.
Nandroid.
Also, Titanium Fashow! I have a scheduled backup every day at 2:00 am. And it works when I need my apps and settings back.

Restoring paid apps

Hey,
I was wondering what happens when I buy an app and then change ROM? Would it be like the AppStore that I can just download the apps again since I paid for them or will I have to buy them again?
thanks,

Yes, once you've purchased them, there always there for free on AS MANY Android phones as you own, just log in with the same google account.
If you're going to get into the rom flashing game, I highly recommend the paid version of Titanium Pro; most rom flashers consider it a must-have in the rom flashing tool box. Just back up all your apps/data before flashing, then restore them to the newly flashed rom. This is the only way to get some of your apps' data back (the apps that store data on the internal rom space instead of the sdcard).
Also, an appbrain.com account and app on your phone are a big plus.
yep, PAID version of the apps, really pays off themself when you switch phones often, or flash ROM often, and you constantly wipe the phones every few weeks.
just login to android market and hit the download button
it makes life sooo much easier

[Q] Backing up apps?

When installing a custom rom the recommendation usually includes backing up apps.
However are my apps not on my android market place and if so could I not simply re-install my market place apps rather than going through the back up process?

apps can be found in the market , its the data you don't want to loose try titanium it works well
when I did a factory reset on my phone, all the apps I had purchased in the market remained purchased and ready to install. Titanium is pretty well recommended wherever you search if youre worried about losing anything though.
There's an app on the market called "App List Backup" that will show all the apps you backed up before and it simply takes you to the individual app market link when you are restoring. I like it. Titanium has all kinds of whiz-bang features, but restoring apps does not always have the desired endgame when using newer ROMs.
Titanium is my recommendation. The data backing up is the part I like. You can also freeze the bloatware that comes on your phone.

Titanium is your best choice which can backup your apps and data at same time.

Dumb Question....sensation on tmous S-Off, CWM, Rooted

So is flashing a custom-rom the only way to get rid of the bloatware? or am I missing something now that I have S-off, CWM & root access...
I don't mind sense, but I do want to get rid of:
Qik
Stocks
Nova
Telenav
etc.....
use titanium backup pro to uninstall what you like. You can also freeze apps whixh is just as good as you can unfreeze the app if you for some reason want to use the apps
ooooooo so that's why titanium back up is so important....
guess I need to spring for the pro version.....
as the free version won't let me 'freeze' apps.... just delete...
looks like I have more reading ahead of me on TB.....
when temp root was achieved all i did was use TB to freeze all the apps i did not want such as stocks, vodafone store, ect ect, its stops them from running at boot but also removes them from your app draw... when you un-freeze the app becomes fully useable and the app shortcut comes back into the app draw. Its totally worth the few pennies!
lol...I killed the bloat apps using the free version, it removed them from the drawer too. Just in case I do something stupid, I d/l the o.e.m rom from another thread on here...lol can't be too safe.
