Hello guys
I unlocked my saga via htcdev and installed cwm. I thought that that would be enough to flash a costum rom but now i only see the spashsceen on bootup. I tried flash the boot.img via fastboot manually but that fails (fastboot failed (status malformed (1 bytes))) too. So my HBOOT is 2.00.002 and I am still S-ON but on top of the Bootloader it is Unlocked.
So what is now up with my phone and what can I do?
Thanks :good:

Was your phone in fastboot mode (bootloader saying fastboot USB at the top) when you tried flashing the boot.img?

yes of course... i read somwhere else that that could be still locked because of S-ON... any ideas?
I have S-Off, custom H-Boot 2.14 with red writing on splash removed, unlocked bootloader, cid 11111111, viper 3.2.3 rom and TWRP 2.4.1.0 recovery, why can't I fastboot flash radios? I keep getting "FAILED (remote: not allowed)".
I can flash the zips in recovery no problems but can't flash the extracted radio images through fastboot, it sends the radio but fails to write it.
Any ideas anyone?
You flash the radio zip from fastboot I think. Not the extracted image

I always have flashed radios thru recovery
With the one xl you can simply flash the radios through recovery with s off... With new HTC devices if s off is present you'll be flashing radios through fastboot which night require an eng hboot but I'm not 100% sure on that
Hi, after flashing an incorrect version of gapps onto a CM10.1 nightly rom I have worked myself into a very tight corner.
The phone is s-on, wont boot into android and also I am unable to enter any kind of recovery. I have tried fastboot flash recovery and fastboot boot recovery with CWM and TWRP and flashing a stock recovery extracted from an RUU. All I get when trying to enter recovery is a reboot then HTC white screen then boot loop. I am under the impression all I can possibly do at this stage is to flash a stock RUU yet I can only find one RUU that matches my ORANG_001 cid and that gives me the error of "44 hboot version check fail". So I then tried to flash a more recent RUU but they all have different cid numbers. If I attempt to modify the android-info.txt to add my cid I corrupt the zip and get a sign verification failure. I've attempted to make a new zip and then resign it with AutoSign.zip but again I get a "12 signature verify fail."
If anyone could shine any light on altering cid inside RUU or possibly a way of me getting back into recovery it would be greatly appreciated.

To run the latest cm hou have to have a hboot of 2.15. What's your current version?
Did you btw flash the boot.img seperatly?
If s-on you have to.
Flash a RUU (cant flash a RUU with a lower hboot than that you already have)
Than do otas till your on jb. Then go back to custom roms.

Thanks for the replies, is it possible to s-off when I can only access bootloader though? My hboot is 2.15.0000 and yes I had flashed the boot.img separately, the rom worked perfectly until I flashed the wrong gapps. I would love to flash an RUU but I can only find one that is compatible with my cid and it won't install.

fastboot erase cache
^-- this often / sometimes / maybe fixes the situation where recovery fails to boot.

Have you tried using Hansoons All-in-one toolkit to flash a recovery?
Ok i can enter to the bootloader, and also to the recovery, but! when i flash a rom it cant boot on ! i got stucked after the HTC Logo. Also tried to to flash PD98IMG from hboot without succes and the same thing with RUU, in HBOOT the RUU software says that my battery is 30% or less and i have to chargue it, but is full! so have to enter in fastboot mode and it pass that step then it chargue the ruu but then it send an error that the image restore from ruu cant be completed.
Btw: S-on AND unlocked bootloader

extract the boot.img file from the zip (do not extract the zip) to your PC desktop, then boot the device in fastboot usb and in a CMD session in the PC (located in the desktop folder) type:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
then when you get the OKAY, type:
Code:
fastboot reboot
Hi all,
My phone stucks on HTC logo. I can access to bootloader and fastboot. I've a CWM recovery.
I want reinstall stock rom 2.3.5 for my branded phone (Vodafone FR) . After a week of research of a ruu branded Vodafone FR 2.3.5, I founded nothing for a HBOOT 2.xx.xxxx .
So i understand that i need to downgrade HBOOT to 0.93.xxxx to install a ruu (a lot of ruu for 0.93.xxxx compatible with me)
I've drivers adb and fastboot . Fastboot work because i used it to install CWM recovery.
I found a lot of tutorials to downgrade HBOOT but they need adb comands ! They don't work on bootloader .
Can i use adb comands with bootloader (specials drivers) ? Or downgrade without these comands ?
I need help ! Thanks to all !
Bootloader infos :

HBOOT 2.00.0002
if you flashed custom rom you need to flash boot.img from rom zip via fastboot
As the guy above me said, if fastboot is working for you, you only have to flash boot.img using:
fastboot flash boot boot.img (there are many guides on this forum, but basically get your phone into bootloader, you just open your rom *.zip and extract boot.img file from there, and you put it to folder where you have fastboot.exe, and execute that command)
Thank's !
To use adb commands, you must be on recovery .
