Measure charge draw? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi guys
Are there any apps that can display how much current (mAh) is being drawn while charging? I recently purchased a usb car charger that claims to output at 1 amp (1000 mAh) per usb port (it has two) and i want to test it.
Any suggestions? I'd like to be able to do this without any additional hardware
Sent from my HTC Glacier

Elixir can do this (you'll have to add a widget on your homescreen and select Battery Current in the list of applications that are proposed).
For example I can see the difference between my wall charger (850 mA/h) and my laptop (400 mA/h).
EDIT: you can also find the information directly in the Elixir application by clicking on the battery category

Thanks a bunch, man :] It seems to work but for some reason the widget isn't there.
Apparently my Mytouch 4g (Htc Glacier) maxes out at around 480 mA/h. Is this a hardware limitation?

Well I'm a girl indeed
I don't know whether this limit can be changed. I would think that it can't but it's just my thought. Maybe other members can give more information?

Have you installed Elixir? If yes, just open it and click on the first line where you can see a battery icon. In the pop up window there's "Current".

My apologies! I didn't catch the username and I haven't run into another girl on xda so i just assumed you were a guy.
Thanks for the help :]

No problem
I just hope I'm not the only girl on xda ...

Strange ... What do you see when you open Elixir? You don't see the battery picture?

On ZTE Blade battery is present, and clicking it gives no mention of charge draw, neither does the homescreen widget for battery, that just pulls up the built in "settings" power panel.

I assume it depends on the device. I've attached 2 screenshots of my device for you to see.

Nope, it's not the signal.
It's just the batterys indicator in bars.
I've finally found the ROM I used...

What the hell is this app? the description online doesn't do it for me.
I'm curious.
did you fix the problem with apps on SD card? Every time i rebooted, all my widgets and shortcuts i added would disappear.

it has been said before that adding apps with widgets on the SD card would make them disappear.
not just with powerstrip but froyo in general. if you're going to be using the widget, take it off your SD card.

you're not limited on space like you are in quickdesk with one homescreen.
it has an all apps, shortcuts, recent apps, and context panel used to share QR codes of the app you have open,
app info (force stop, move to SD card, etc.), uninstall, and go to market page.

Been using Power Strip for a few weeks now and I love it. It now does scrollable widgets. In fact I'm down to 1 home screen and all my icons and widgets are in power strip.
I cant get it to update. I try to update and it keeps saying download unsuccessful.

I think if the originating developer made the functionality clearer on the product homepage and market screen, it will help with sales tremendously. With that being said, I'll purchase tonight when i have a reliable internet connection. =)
Loving it just commented on it too thxs for the great app! cant wait for customization!

The only issue I have is one particular widget I use in QuickDesk doesn't really work well in Power Strip. And that's Settings Profile, I really like being able to make sure I'm in the right profile by the color the widget displays without having to click on anything. Unfortunately this is not possible to see in Power Strip since widgets are only visible after clicking them in the Widget panel.
Other than that this is a very cool multitasking app.

Questions

As more of us get our Surface I have the following issues I am hoping someone can answer.
Need a good Exchange client===I read touchdown next week is releasing
Video Player that does MKV==
Once I have these 2 issues filled I will be able to hand off my Transformer prime to my son.
I will also have to wait a month to link my xbox live account
I haven't tried to setup my work email yet, but isn't exchange support included? or you're just looking for something better?
Now, my question. Anyone know where can I see the battery percentage?

Yea I figures that way out too but it's sorta a pain just to go to the desktop to see battery life. You would think it was somewhere else lol

I do not want my personal and work emails in the same client. Android allowed me to use gmail and then email.
I use touchdown until Windows Pro comes out with full outlook.
theres a battery icon on the lock screen and if you swipe from the right edge to the left .... but no percentage

[Q] Battery stats show android OS as 99% consumer

It was a one-time event. The battery was not draining faster, but in the graph it showed this(see screenshot below). Any ideas? I'm on stock rom with stock kernel
Battery stats screw up from time to time. Reboot / recharge. It will come right in the end

That's quite normal if you have not used the phone in that period.
The android os has consumed 99% of the the battery drain of 24% and not 99% of the total battery capacity. When the phone is on the android os is always running and will obviously use the battery.
It is obviously a screwup, cause I used the phone, and usually screen consumes the most. A fully recharge resolved the issue

Eh?
Just edit the title to put "[resolved]" or something. Topics don't get "closed" and don't need to be. Moderators have more important things to be doing.

What more do you need to know other than sometimes it happens? It's a bug, it happens from time to time for as long as I can remember.

What are all these wake locks?

Using BetterBatteryStats... What are all these?? They are categorized in "kernel wakelocks".
Search is cool... might check out

You probably know these already but the power manager service ones are the sum of your partial wakelocks , the others I don't know.

Yes, that I knew lol. The others I' seriously confused about as well though
The other 2 big ones are display. The power manager display one is normal across all the Android devices I have. The decon.fb one is new to me on this device, but is apparently just something that runs as part of screen on - it always matches screen on time.
Wlan_rx_wake is wifi - it really chews through the battery on the s6. Wlan_ctrl_wake is another form of network traffic, I want to say 3g data, but I could be wrong on that one.
Thanks a lot guys for the info.
