It was a one-time event. The battery was not draining faster, but in the graph it showed this(see screenshot below). Any ideas? I'm on stock rom with stock kernel
Battery stats screw up from time to time. Reboot / recharge. It will come right in the end

That's quite normal if you have not used the phone in that period.
The android os has consumed 99% of the the battery drain of 24% and not 99% of the total battery capacity. When the phone is on the android os is always running and will obviously use the battery.
It is obviously a screwup, cause I used the phone, and usually screen consumes the most. A fully recharge resolved the issue

Eh?
Just edit the title to put "[resolved]" or something. Topics don't get "closed" and don't need to be. Moderators have more important things to be doing.

What more do you need to know other than sometimes it happens? It's a bug, it happens from time to time for as long as I can remember.

Hi guys, i've some problems here. I flashed the Infamous Rom in my tab, and, even if in the post said that battery calibration would be needed because the tab won't recognize well the battery, i've done the process two or three times and i can't fix it, i've 1% of battery for 18 hours hahaha. The battery endurance it's not affected at all but it's annoying because the screen turns darker when the battery percentage it's below the 5% and i use the tab for reading. Anybody had the same problem? please help me!

It's easy you need only a small screwdriver (precision screwdriver for electronic repairs) and your nails. Through the Micro SD slot you can pull out the rear case with some patience, then you will see the battery and you can take it after extracting the screws on its corners. Wait for five minutes or something with the battery out, insert it again and assemble all the stuff and the problem with the battery draining and "auto charging" will be solved

Hi everyone, just wanted to make a quick question regarding the battery.
I have had the note 10.1 for a long time and I've never let it go below 15%. However, I also own an iphone 5s and apple recommends that we let it drain to 0% once every month in order for its battery to calibrate. Does the same apply for my tablet?
Thanks

Yes. I also calobrate my GN 10.1 once about two or three months.
or Erase Battery Stat.(It can be done by "Battery Calibration" App)

Thanks. I will try doing that because I've never done it before in a whole year though I can't say that i'm not pleased with the battery.
I will also download that app to try it.What happens when you erase the battery stat with that app?
Honestly, I read a lot on this and a lot of people tell me that I should calibrate it while others say that it is a bad idea...

If you use "Battery calibration" app, It will erase /data/system/batterystats.bin and restart to make battery stat. So Use it with 100% battery and use your device with no charge until battery percent go to 0% and Off. Then Charge the device until battery go to 100%.
It's more effective than using without wiping batterystats.bin file.

Perhaps you should go into your accounts and stop many of the the Google services from syncing. I only have Calendar, Contacts and Gmail on. That might help with battery life.

Why would they do that? The whole point of having a smartphone is having instantaneous access to your info and using these features. This is a known bug affecting many. Supposedly oneplus one will fix this with the next ota update.

Things running constantly so that you can have instantaneous and continuous access will drain battery-operated electronics. That's nothing unique with OPO, other smartphones, or any other electronic device which runs on a battery.

Yes it will drain your battery, but not excessively like the google services bug present in cm11s. Most people don't buy a smartphone to have everything turned off on it. My g3 has all the same things constantly active and battery is a beast on it.

That is a great suggestion for a temporary battery life improvement but hopefully the update coming from oneplus will resolve it permanently. I hope it does, I really like this phone but will switch over to the g3 permanently if it doesn't get fixed.
this did the trick on mine. I made this video for couple friends

What carrier or is it international brand? AT&T and Verizon have locked the bootloaders in the past making it hard to root!
Also can you show some of the theme changer in the settings, thanks.

Any screenshots yet regarding battery life? =)
It will be good for us, thanks!
When you get around to posting battery life screenshots can you make sure to post screen on time, brightness level, and what you used the phone for so that the number are more meaningful.
Nah, is normal
Yeah sorry I hadnt had a chance to get on XDA and respond. Battery life to be complete honest I am demoing the device 24/7 and so far on hard usage i'm getting 6-7 hours. But thats with the phone on full brightness and pushing the phone to its limits. Tomorrow I will be able to provide accurate battery life i will a free day and will be able to see how long it last without demoing it all the time.
I will so provide screen shots of my battery from yesterday and a screen shot from today.
Thanks for putting in contact with the right people I will contact them and do a system dump and hopefully get this started.
Maybe you can post sot time
Can you upload its Firmware? So we can extract some interesting stuff?
thanks
Yeah, screen on time (SOT) is the only battery metric that means anything to me.

You guys are so wrong on that one.
SOT is probably the worst way to tell a phones battery life.
Were Bluetooth, Locations and other things on? Screen brightness? What apps installed? What was on the screen? A web page? Gaming? (remember this is amoled and darks are easier than whites too).
This really needs to stop because it seems to have spread to a point where more and more people are calling this a metric when it's not.
There are way too many unknown factors that will greatly effect SOT.
He right. We need all the info not just SOT.

I think you better disable Google app and use it on your browser! And it might be that app which monitors your wakelocks as well. Uninstall it.
Btw: Mods will move it to the correct section (q&a).
