I dont know about any of you, but i love sense. however sense has never met my standards in terms of speed, and stability.. well thats what i want to fix. this has been a little project of mine for a few weeks, hope you like and enjoy

Steps to a successful install:
0 format sd card and setup the sd card with ext4 of 512mb or above and the swap with 128mb
0.1 go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831139
0.2 follow steps upgrade spl an radio
1. Head over to Firerats MTD page
2. Download FR_Boot_v1.5.6 and FR_Recovery_v1.5.6 to your sd card
3. Create a text file called mtdpartmap.txt with the "mtd 153 2" inside of the txt file without the quotes
4. Download the rom below to sd card
5. enter recovery and wipe cache,data,system
6. Flash FR_Recovery_v1.5.6
7. Wipe cache,data,system
8. reboot but back into recovery
9. Flash Rom
10. Flash FR_BOOT
11. Reboot phone and enjoy ^^

I want to try it but dont want to repartition the sd, and install MTD ect....
Not to mention CM5 is running great right now.

When i flash v1 beta 4 i dont have the HTC widgets however when i flashed v1 beta 3 or beta 2 all the HTC widgets were there and idk why it was doing that when the widgets are there but they wont work or show in the selection menu. Is the beta 4 or beta 1 from the beta page??

I still enjoy sense, just annoyed with how slow it performs (about to change )
EDIT: Wifi Does not work, overall speed is pretty nice though and better than previous builds.

I love sense because it can play adobe flash.
you can mod other version lite,remove all widget,rosie,.., use any laucher ( ex : laucher pro,adw laucher ), version play adobe flash and performance ??

i tried out this ROM on my G1, very nice, great work !
but i have the same problem with the service like at DroidEris, servicebug !

Here is a trick for those who want performance, and want to come back to other rom, before doing this just try this:
settings-->applications-->manage-->touchflo-->clear defaults
than the first time you press home it ask you wich home you want to chose, check use always this option, and press Home (not touchflow), and there you have, a speedy rom with the good things of Sense (except for the widgets, but you won't get them in other roms anyway )

-New version of swap application, now it let you set the swappiness,it's the 3rd parameter in swapinfo.txt ( by default it's setted to 20), first time it ask root permission tap always allow, if it says that the application it's not responding just hit wait, and everything will go ok!
I found this rom much more usable with touchFlow
(the best configuration on swap that I found is: 32MB, and 10 of swappiness, try it editing the /sdcard/swapinfo.txt
Patch for swap:
(in the rom you'll find the lastest version, this one is the first version)

Here is an automatic apps that do the work for you,
it set up a new swap file with standard dimension of 65MB in /sdcard/swapfile.swp,
and for those who wants to personalize it,
just change the file /sdcard/swapinfo.txt
is obvious but I clear that too: first line path, second line dimension
Don't need to do anything to make it work just install it, and reboot the phone, it'll do the work for you!

Ok it booted up and I registerd my Google account and all that, and the dang thing just rebooted after i completed the wizard.
EDIT: Ok it rebooted really quick and the home screen is taking a while to load.

HTCClay has released another update to his FastTest ROM, taking us to version 3.0.3. As the title suggests this is a quick ROM. As always from HTCClay’s ROMs it is also very smooth and great for everyday use. This one has a very nice new music player with some widgets for the music player too. The launcher has also been modified on this, very similar to the Nexus One launcher I have seen elsewhere. Battery life is very impressive too, finishing a day’s normal usage after setups and downloads with 40% left.
There was a small issue with setting up the Google mail account on this ROM, but with an install of the previous version of FastTest, run the initial setup and then install this new version without a wipe then it will work a charm. And once it you’ve got past this it works a charm

I'm aslo coming from Super D 1.8, that rom is very fast indeed but I kept on having some issues from time to time that were frustrating me, this one is the same on speed with about the same features, and now with us g1 users being able to over clock to 700+ its super quick

How can you overclock to 700mhz?
all i have seen is upto 550mhz.
Couldn't get 3G to work, on any version of this Rom. Made 100% sure the APN-settings were correct. Somebody I know had the exact same problem so it isn't just me, it just doesn't work on some mobiles.

Yea, it lacks those sort of but ill tell you right now, im running it and its like lightning. Also has everything black themed, awesome ROM. Def go for it.
If anybody has a link to the official page for the ROM or changelog, please post it. I have the dev on twitter though as @htcclay.

I don't believe it is. This is much faster than SuperD 1.8 and I don't have any issues with this rom at all. For some reason my Home key wouldn't work with SuperD 1.8

Haha really? And now I feel like a dumb ass, however after flashing back to supper d I really dont like this rom anymore its not as fast as I thought it was. I think its because I had the 780mhz patch on this rom and I didn't have it on supper d

The theme might be more optimized. Themes actually do affect load times, I find.

lol its all good, how long should I be expecting for it to boot? I didn't wipe my ext partition, so that might be why its taking so long.. .
But its been about 15-20 mins so far on the black screen.
EDIT: Wiped EXT and it loaded in like 5 mins lol

This Rom is superr fast! Can't wait till the bugs are fixed, gonna be great!
I take no credit so far since i have done nothing for the ROM so far. I am making this thread so no one else does.

But I'm getting REALLY tired of all these hellrisen ROMs. It's not anyone's fault, really, but hellraiser just sprouted a poostorm of ROMs that are more or less the same.
Again, don't take it personally, this had to be posted somewhere. I'm sure you did a good job.

Dont take it personally, but every custom "stock" ROM is basically the same because they're based off of the same firmware. (whether its a port or not) MIUI and CM7 differ from stock ROM's.
My advice is if you dont like them dont click on them? Dont want to see Hellraiser Ports buy a phone that doesnt support it

Or they're all nicely done ports and I've never experienced one that's the same. I agree with Big, nothing had to be said. When you put even one hour into development, then you'll understand. I put a few in a couple of months back and then life kicked me in the balls so I had to put all that on hold. Point is, that it's not easy man, and you had no reason to post that.
