15 APRIL 2012: ALL - PLEASE NOW REFER TO THIS THREAD HERE
Just found a new Clockwork-5.0.1.0 for our beloved Sensation(al) device
It works fine and didn't find any bug yet
The charging issue some of users had seems to be solved
In order for this to work, the HTC Sensation needs to be S-OFF.
How to Flash:
Flash via boatloader or push adb or fastboot flash recovery recovery.img or using Rom Manager
Download:
01/09/2011: 5.0.1.0:HERE
Update 05/09/2011: 5.0.2.0: HERE
If you want to flash via Bootloader just put the following file PG58IMG.zip in your SD card : HERE
changelog: fix the fact that some users were loosing root access with 5.0.1.0
already a heavy thread going for this, but it SHOULD be in the dev thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242522
EDIT* good notes too, there are too many plp who dont know how to do this with either method
Alternative method is fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

check out the thread i posted, lots of testing notes
the most significant is the backups/restores are WAYYYY quicker
...and its blue!
Charging issue is still there. Doesn't charge when switched off or battery goes empty. Not Recommended for users who go out of battery very often..
To check if your phone is charging, turn off ur phone, remove and reinsert your battery(to make sure ur phone is fully switched off), then open adb and type::
adb shell cat /sys/devices/platform/htc_battery/power_supply/battery/status
if it returns charging, it's fine for u, otherwise Think again..
I got discharging, so reverted back to 4.0.1.4(Modded for charging when switched off)..
Here's link for 4.0.1.4 for those who want to revert back http://goo.gl/4VlGV
it actually does charge when turned off, but not when in hboot/fastboot/recovery
i completely drained my battery, and it charged, but i had to let it fill for a min or so before i could turn it back on with enough juice to get back into OS
not recommended if kill your battery often
EDIT* the link i poseted has a bit of testing already done, it was just put in the general thread, not the dev one
Wouldn't the easiest way to flash it would be through ROM Manager? That's what I did
sent from Christ All Mighty II
you'd be surprised how many people prefer the manual way (im one of them )
im not a fan or rom manager, you dont really *learn* when you use it, and doesnt work all the time

Did u try adb command when phone was turned off?
It gives me "Discharging', when just turned off and connected to PC.
I was f****d when i had just s-offed my Sensation, and went out of battery. So I'm too skeptical about all this
yup, discharging everytime now, looks like it only worked after that initial restart after a battery pull...
oh well, im still keeping it, the backup/restore is much quicker, and i use it a lot
Discharging for me with adb commandBut LED is red :/

No bro it charging normally even if your phone is turned off. I tried it already cause i have a spare full charged battery. The problem is when you are on recovery aka no charge. Anyway i still find silly to try flash a rom when you are on low battery at all.

even though it says discharging on powered off, it does charge, but u just gotta wait a min or 2 so it has enough juice to power back on...
its not as bad as the < 4.0.1.4 problems, but either way its a better ver of CWM

LED doesn't exactly give proper info. When i was using 4.0.1.4(initial that doesnt charge when switched off that came with revolutionary), i charged phone for whole night and LED was red, but in morning, phone's battery was still empty.
LED is liar lol..

Sometimes device go in deep sleep and following above procedure will wake it up. I don't think it's necessary to remove SIM and memcard. Try the above method and post the results here. I am sure if this doesn't work then some senior members will help you out.

If battery was low while playing game then
Check turning on with another battery , or at least try to enter in bootloader
Or try above solution for waking it up from deep sleep
If all fails then I'm sure your phones processor died
Try unbricking project just in case

Open your hard back cover, charge it. Leave it about 2 hours in a cool room. Then try to boot to your bootloader, see if anything is wrong at there.

" Boot the linux box and download the appropriate package for the device. "
Where can i down load that "appropriate package"?
I just flashed Miui 5 + Gapps 4.2.2 and now i am getting boot loop (M Logo - Black screen - reboot).
I was on system 1.
Now do I have any other option than FXZing via RSD lite?
My phone is MB865 Indian version.
I am downloading --> 320.8 MiB Retail Asian 6.7.2_EDEM-18-SEARET_cfc.xml.zip
Which is the difference in this version --> 517.4 MiB Asia (Operator) 5.5.1-EDEM-27-ASIAOPS_cfc.xml.zip
and this --> 517.3 MiB Retail Asian 5.5.1-EDEM-27-SEARET_cfc.xml.zip
Do I need the latest RSD lite for fxzing? I have this one RSDlite v6.1.5 http://www16.zippyshare.com/v/85618478/file.html
Also I am getting a "?" while charging.

RSDlite v6.1.5 is the latest AFAIK.
For Indian MB865 (non AT&T), use only Searet ROM. 6.7.2 is ICS and 5.5.1 is GB.
It seems your phone is softbricked, and hence the '?' while charging. If you can't go to CWM or BMM Recovery, then you have no option other than to FXZ.

I am trying FXZ on laptop.
Windows 8. Original Cable. Rsd 6.1.5.
But the option "decompress and flash" is not highlighted.
When i click "Show phone" nothing happens.
Is it not reading the phone? I get the beep noise while connecting.
But i dont see the eject mb865 icon. The "eject mb865" icon appears while bootlooping but not while i am in AP fastboot.
EDIT: I am in transfer mode. But now it shows battery low, cannot program. And when I charge via Ac adapter it shows a "?" inside battery icon. I think its not charging and i wont be able to fxz.

You'll just need an external charger since your phone won't charge the battery in its current state. Or, if you're feeling daring, Google the phrase MacGuyver battery charge method.
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.

I had wrong/old drivers. Now when atlast everything was done and i got usb connected/transfer mode, it said battery low, cant flash. I cant seem to even charge the phone. It shows a ?. I also dont think it will charge in stock Recovery. So much pain ;p
I found solutions though:
1) Found someone with atrix 2. Will need to visit his place and use his charged battery. (Going for this solution).
Is it ok to use his battery if he has ME865? Mine is MB865.
2) Macgyver method - 2 parallel batteries.
3) Cutting another data cable and Wiring the battery with that data cable - red wire & black wire.
4) Getting a battery Charger.
Posted all solutions I found for fellow atrix users.

Booted sucessfully. Was so much of a headache
2 things learnt from this:
1) Always flash anything with 100% battery, no matter what.
2) Keep basic ICS ROM on sys 1. Dont use system 1 for too much flashing.
Thanks a lot everyone. :good:
same problem here...with a minor difference

It's not really supposed to work with the battery out of the phone anyway.
You are using a USB 2.0 correct? USB 3.0 will not work.
What do you mean flashtool won't see it?
Your selecting the tot file clicking the yellow button and when it says ready you've unplugged and re plugged the device?

How exactly do I get to download mode with battery in it?
Flashtool never gets a yellow go color. It just sits there. When I click go, it fails out.

The problem is:
No download mode
No recovery
no fastboot mode
When connecting to the current does not turn on the screen and sometimes it turns on but the load does not rise from 0% and the red LED blinks after a moment stops blinking and no longer turns on the screen, when connecting it to the pc it is detected but with battery it does not light the screen, when removed the battery lights up with a non-battery alert and up comes out fastboot mode started. I have tried with other batteries and still nothing happens.

Sounds like it's dead/hardware failure since youve tried different batteries.
Did you do anything to it like root , rom, etc before this happened? Or was it all stock?

You would have to replace the motherboard.

There may be an unbrick guide in the general section to do a Pinout which will still require taking apart the phone and it would bring back download mode.

There is another possibility. Try another cord. The original cords after a while can be very finicky. Mine was. Make sure the next cord you try is definitely a fast charging data sync cable. Your best best is another of v10 cord. If that doesn't work, then you do indeed have a catastrophic hardware failure. And there is currently no fix 100% fix. There are the methods that the other posters mentioned but if those dont work, then your board is shot. Also, after trying the new cord. Reinstall the lg drivers on your pc.
