Activesync doesnt work, cant access File explorer what to do?

Hi,
my Vox was ok with Fireburned Clean WM 6.1 ROM.
I wanted to install the 96 DPI cab taken from

I installed correctly following the instructions, and rebooted.
Now, after boot, the following things dont work.
1. File explorer - so i cant go to any folder or delete any files on \windows folder.
2. activesync connection is broken so i cant install a new ROM.
3. recently accessed app list shows blank.
4. my home screen is blank.
The only thing that works is the dialpad where i can make voice calls.
Can anyone tell me how to do a hard reset (any key combination or shortcut??).

I recommend you to uninstall 96 DPI update. To do this, flash your Vox from SD card instead of using ActvieSync connection. How to do this, check Vox Wiki.

Hard Reset Second Way:
Turn off your phone, then press both *SOFT KEYS* and *POWER ON* device. After moment release both soft keys. On the black screen asking for confirmation press *GREEN PHONE BUTTON* and wait couple minutes for phone to initialize.
If you cant make it with this [you must have good timing].. turn off your phone, hold camera button, and plug usb.

i tried trizzos method. but everytime i press camera and plug usb power, the "upload from sd card" screen would come and then just show the bootloader. i formatted twice to FAT32 but still no luck.
Then i followed akumalol's two ways,
the hard reset via soft keys + power key combo didnt work. i tried few times.
But, the second method worked!!!!!!!!!
that is
1. switch off phone
2. hold camera button and plug in usb power cable
3. phone boots to bootloader
4. now use any of the OS drop posted by our Gurus, and execute Flash.exe, it then connects to the phone via activesync and downloads the image.

Well I tought hardreset would be ur lasta alternative... the method posted by akumalol is the only one i ever used and it works but you have to put ur finger on the softkeys in less than a second after u have powered on the device..this is why some users have no luck with it...u have to be VERY VERY QUICK!

i tried 4 times with no result.. it directly booted to the current OS.
maybe i have poor reflex than you folks..

ahahah no it's a tecnique issue...put your thumbs on the softkeys and with an other free fingers power on the phone... don't tell this to anyone it's a secret tecnique

hey...please help...something went wrong on my first flash

hello all,
after going through many files and threads here, i decided to update my rom to "Windows Mobile 6.1 for ported from Moto Q by Dr. Martin Gonzo"... (After removing the sd card...) First, i run the sda_application unlock...got a message "successfully unlocked. reboot sda" on my pc...i rebooted my vox. Then activesync connected again..Then i run "uspl_116_jockyw.bat"... it asked several que...like beta release, wish to continue or not...den remove sd card...etc...i'd already removed the card well before, so i acceptd all the prompts...and as per the readme file, i shud saw a penguin..waited for that...inbetween, on my vox...it prompted for two files "haret"..etc..i pressed yes on vox...din see any changes on vox for dat....and finally i saw a penguin on top left corner of my vox...some scripts were runnin in the middle...so small it was, couldnt read...i waited for screen to turn black/ bright... but wat i see was a mixed screen of penguin, some protion black(top and bottom black bars) and in between d usual green wm6 homescreen...i felt something went wrong..but tried to check by running "ROMUpdateUtility.exe"...wen i run it, vox automatically rebooted...and i got an error msg from ruu, could not connect to the vox..i started ruu again, (vox rebooted and active sync connected again)...ruu showed me current image version....and i pressed UPDATE button...i saw RGB color on my vox, and a usb connection established btw my vox n pc...then suddenly it showed 100% wid an error msg...on pc....(my vox automatically rebooted) the error message on pc was "image file corrupted"...and after that my vox not gettin connected to activesync.....
The phone is workin fine i tink, i can see the home screen n all...
where i went wrong...??
i wished sooooo much to see wm6.1.... but ......

This is how I do.Follow Instructions.
1) Connect your mobile with pc check whether its connected with active sync or not.
2) Use sda_application unlock.exe to unloc the mobile ..It will ask you to reboot.Dont reboot .Keep it as it is.
3)Then open uspl_116_jockyw.bat .Run it as administrator and it will as you to follow the instructions.just follow that .After all instructions the bat file will vanish.The screen of your mobile goes black.
4) Run Flash.exe from the ROM you downloaded.Wait for 10 mnts then it will reboot atomatically.
5) after reboot dont do anything ..Have some patience .it will do "cold reboot".It will take 5 mnts.
After this it will ask you to press OK to reboot .
Thats it .Enjoy Now.

Treo750 is not working anymore

I have a big problem and I hope you can help me.
A few weeks ago I want to update my Treo to WM6.5 and use a Rom (I think from navenedrob) which was timebombed (since there I don't know it).
Now I want to update my Treo to the right version from this thead :

but when I start the update with the cheathunlocker tool, it stops at 7%, the usb connection get lost and my Treo make a restart and the old bimebomed version is there...and the tool says, that the file is curuppted and i should check my update tool... but this message comes every time also with other roms.. When I use the method with the media button there comes the colored screen with "serial" and nothing happens.
(The sd card is okay and the same card which I use to install the timebombed version)
What should I do? I can't do anything... Please help me

2. do not use hc card.
3. try to download again the rom.
4. if it does not help - try to install 6.0 rom from palm .

But I have a problem, my Treo dosn't connect to my Pc. When I click to my workplace there isn't a hhd from the Treo.. and the Mobile Center show me, that there i no connection... I have Windows 7, under Windows Vista it don't work too...
Because of that I can't update my Treo.
Do you know the problem and how to solve it?

1. try to install from WINXP - look for another computer...
2. there is a way to get the rom from the file - maybe with winrar- I'm not sure but I remember something like it...
3. look for a rom 6.1 and try to install it from the card.

Okay I try it under Windows Xp, but I get no connection
I get the Rom from the .exe file by 7zip and copy it to the sd card, but the same problem is there at 7%
Do you have maybe am link from Wm6.1?
I think all this dosn't work.. I don't know what the problem is..
What other possibility can I try? There must be a solution for it...

the "serial" problem happened to me too. It was because bad rom file or bad card.

Okay today I try it with an other Card and 2 Roms (also the orginal Rom), but in the bootloader modus there is every time the "serial" and below..

And when I try it with the cheetahunlocker, it stops at 7% and my Treo make a restart and the old timebombed version is loading..
But maybe my sd card slot is broken from my Treo or the sd card adapter...

any idea to check this? Or an other way?

Hey I might have a solution here:
When you format the Mini SD card, do NOT do a quick format. Uncheck that box and do a full format, FAT32, Default Allocation Size.
This took over 15 minutes for me.
Do a scandisk (Right click the drive/tools/scandisk) and check "Fix Errors". This should ensure your SD card is in good shape.
Now copy a good ROM to the card and reset+PTT. The Palm should flash successfully now. If not your ROM may be corrupted.
Hope this helps! It worked for me!

1. Format sd card to fat32
2. find the .nbh file in the stock ROMS
3. rename it CHEEIMG.nbh
4. copy it to the sd (make sure it is not hcsd or it won't work)
5. insert the card in the card reader
6. reset the phone by using the stylus and the reset button next to the card reader, at the same time hold the PTT button on the left side of the phone, (this will put it bootloader mode)
7. when prompted, press the end talk button on the phone, this should start the update process without using activesync.

1. redownload the app and extract using 7zip
2. make sure you have .NET compact framework 3.5 installed on the PC and the phone
3. in CHEETAH unlocker press ctrl+2 and click the header (this will unlock all three options)
4. follow steps
The radio it flashes will not be a good one, so you need to search around to get the right one. Once those steps are complete, you should be able to reflash WM 6.5 without any problems. If you download Navendrob's ROM, you will need to download the arcsoft mms composer to make mms work, and you should be good to go.

I have a question about this rom. (Wm6.5 from naevendrob)
My touch is broken, so I can't use the touch. Now I have the problem, that I only end a call with touching "end" and not with the normal hang up button on my keybord.
My second problem is, that I can't lock my Treo, because when I want to unlock it, I have to use the touch display.. On Wm 6.1 I could turn my screen with the hang key on my keyboard off.. this is now on this Rom not possible, or do anybody have a solution for this? Maybe in the registry or something?

Since your issue is with the ROM you loaded & your hardware problem, you should bring it up at the specific thread where you downloaded the ROM from.
I would recommend getting the touch screen fixed or roll back to WM6.0.

No it's a Problem with my Treo. I change the touchscreen one time and it works for a while, but after maybe 2 months the touch dosn't work.
Can anybody maybe write a file that i can use the hang up button to hang up without the touchscreen?Or has anyone an idea to change it maybe in the registy or sth. like that?

Yes I have the same problem, i try with two micro SD card 2 and 1GB formatted to FAT32,and i didnt use quick format, and the cards aren´t HC. but is not working, I supose isnt the card, something is missing,
Please, Can Somebody Help us????

[SOLVED] - [Q] Fujitsu Simens loox N560 died after bad firmware

hi.
I'v got loox n560 that was upgraded to WM6.1-6.5 servel times without any problem.
the last time i did update, i did it accidentally with a bad firmware file(uncompleted download).since then, the device wont boot(just a white screen).and the pc wont recognize it.
any way to save it? or i made myself a nice paper weight?

I think there was a way to put the N560 in bootloader mode by pushing some keys and soft-reset hole manually (the "monkey grip" it was called or something similar...) and with the file of the rom to be flashed in a SD card... perhaps you can google for information on this ancient -and more unsure that the cable one- flashing mode. Worth to try it better than have a paperweight...

For manual bootloader mode: press On-Off button + left side button (voice recording) + stylus soft reset (for some seconds). Keep pressed On-Off and recording untill the dolphins appear.
I can't find references to flash from SD card. Anyway, for incomplete flashing, Newplowe gives this procedure:
"You should close process "wcescomm.exe" on PC in task manager. Then hold button record, power and puch reset after that you will come in boot loader. Run the program mtty.1.42 and select usb connect. If You will see the any error just start again mtty. Put command l c:\os_213u.nbf (You should put correct flash file in c:\ or use correct path to os_213u.nbf, l - like L but small). When it will done You should start PocketLOOX5xxFlashTool.exe and flash you PDA."

this is very interesting...
i was able to put the device into boot loader mode and ran the command "L c:\os_213u.nbf" ("l" didnt work, but L did).
it did something to the device, a progress bar till the end of the screen.but the device didnt reboot.when i try to run POCKETFLASH program it couldnt connect to the device.
i runing windows 7, so i guess it the problem(ACTIVE SYNC is a XP PROGRAM).
i'll try installing XP on another computer and try this again.

i have installed Windows XP just for this, and everything seems to go well, i connect with MTTY, put the l c:\os_213u.nbf command and the device respond.
the next stage i to flash with PocketLOOXN560FlashTool.
when i start it, i receive connection error, and then i go to recovery mode.the program try to communicate with the device, but i get at the end error that the ROM language is different than the language on the device.it says "(ENGLISH)" and there are also empty

i doubled checked this with the original WM5 English rom, and its the same.
is there a way to change the language with MTTY?
any other ideas? its a shame to stop now after i can get a response from the device...

The only idea I have is to check if after the failed flashing your N560 is still an "english" one. Perhaps the defective rom has changed the language of your device to something else...
If your device respond to communication with the XP computer, perhaps you could make a rom dump (in newplowe's page you can got tools for doing that) and check in the dump file with an hex editor which language actually has. You can always check newplowe's blog and forum (with google translator ), or ask him

i have fixed the rom language.it had a gibberish mark at the end of the ENGLISH, after i have fixed that, .the device was flashed correctly and its working!

[Q] T02A internal memory says 0, no install

ok so this is my first post, ive been messing with android for a year now, first rooted about 2 months after i got my first phone(verizon lg vortex which is also screwed up(boots up but doesnt go past the verizon logo after the lg logo) anyways i thought id save money ordering a "non-branded" tablet Model: T02A (It is the same as EKEN T02 i think)

4GB NAND FLASH
512 MB RAM DDR3
ARMv7 A10 Cortex A8 1Ghz
0.3 mpx front camera
Kernel 3.0.8+
OS - ICS 4.0.3
but after installing titanium backup i simply used the reboot the device option, come to find out it basically factory reset itself and now shows 0 in the internal memory but 37.7MB of apps, it wont let me install apps and there is no way i can find to direct it to install in another location, i can download apps from anywhere but the market but no install, is there anything i can do to get the int. mem. back or somehow flash the original os? ps i have aalready tried hard resetting both with vol down and power and the settings>backup&reset>factory data reset>reset tablet.
as it is i can use it as basically a video screen with stuff on my sd and surfing the net, but i bought it with a bit more in mind. if anyone can PLEASE help i would appreciate it, and im sorry if this post is a bit long...

Dear Friends,
I am a newbie to android.I also faced the same issue after rooting my T02A tab(Telmoco tab,a Indian company but Chinese re-branded device).
I bought it for my wife and did some experiments with it(rooting).Later its automatically doing factory reset in every booting.Also every time I need to login to play store after turning off the device.So she is very upset with the tab as I bricked it.So I did lot of research to bring it up as you guys are trying.After googling I found a support website of EKEN tab (eken.com/support/) and downloaded firmware for T02A and a livesuit(firmware update utility) from another website.
First download both links from below mentioned websites.
Please note that I am not an expert so what ever you are doing please do it on your own risk.
Also these steps and all I found from diffferent google searches so I won't be able to help you if you ask me any questions.
I am happy to answer but no idea about it..
Lets start
Firmware link from eken site for T02A is f t p://202.105.131.8/t02.rar
Livesuit link whatisandroid.me/LiveSuitPack_v1.07.zip
Extract livesuit rar file to a folder and run LiveSuitPack_v1.07.exe and it will extract all the contents to same folder.
extract the t02a.rar(downloaded firmware)and yo will get the following file "sun4i_crane_t02a.img" .Later we need it for firmware update.
Run "LiveSuit.exe" inside the livesuit folder(run as admin)
Now the livesuit user wizard will popup.
If the popup didn't came automatically then choose "wizard upgrade" manually
I prefer you to use the upgrade guide.
so press yes
Choose Mandatory upgrade mode as it is recommended
It will tell you to remove all connected usb devices from your PC as it may interrupt your process.
also remove the power source from the Tablet.
press next
then select yes for to select image file
choose the "sun4i_crane_t02a.img" (extracted firmware file)
The livesuit will tell you to power off the tablet by pressing power button for 10 seconds.
once the device is off press and hold any button except power button .
Then connect the tablet to the computer using your usb cable.
press power button 10 times quickly.
The device will now go to recovery mode(If I am correct)
Then the usb will try to find the driver automatically for upgrade(I am using windows 7 so it found driver automatically)
Then it will update the firmware if you are lucky.....
Sorry for my bad english.....

Fix From Another Post
I found a solution, hopefully this can help someone in the future
The problem was i installed busybox using an installer which causing some file discrepancies.
To fix it :
1. Install Android Terminal Emulator, this app can be installed even if storage shows full. If you cant install the terminal use Uniflashv2 (open uniflashv2 and connect your device with the debug usb on, go to rom modding, then file manager)
2. copy /system/xbin/busybox to /system/bin, if busybox is installed the code is "busybox cp /system/xbin/busybox to /system/bin"
3. power off then power on (reboot)
When I did the above, all my previous apps and setting came back to normal
