Wipe the cache.
Reflash from recovery, clear data/cache first.

Pull the battery and put it back in again, hold volume down and power, go into recovery and wipe the cache, reboot and you'll be fine.
i would love to do dat bro,but u got to unmount the card to take the cover off, andddd da only way to do dat is to get to the menu and unmount it.ive seen somethin like that in recovery i think, but wut should i do now?
I have no idea what you are talking about, pull the battery out of the phone to turn it off, and go into ClockworkMod recovry and clear the cache, that will fix your problem.
what im talking about is,to take the cover off,u need to unmount the card 1st,but the only way to do that is in the settings.itz da only way i can get to the battery.
Just do it without unmounting, just pull it all out or off. Back cover, SD card, battery, whatever. Otherwise you're never going to get it out of a bootloop.
The only way you dont want to pull your sd out is when your running a2sd. In you case I think it fine to take it out. When the phones off the sd card is not in use so I guess you could say it isnt mounted so just take it out and do what Kalavere said.

Well, I was at cyanogen 4.0.4, and I wiped it again to reinstall the same rom because it was a issue due to the browser which kept force closing.
After doing so, My phone stays on the green screen. I can get on the bootloader and stuff, I tried wiping it again and It won't work...
I have no idea whats happening.
It's on the green mytouch screen for a while.

FIXED.
Take the SD card out ,
put it in the SD Card Reader,
download a new rom or the same (whatever you feel comfortable)
WIPE 3 times just to be safe,
then install rom
(Takes at least 2 mins to go through)

DONT PANIC!!! .... Take a deep breath and count to 10
How long is a while?
Some take up to 2min for it to boot, as long as you can get into Recovery your ok, might be a bad download.
Try a older ROM that you know is good.
It's been like 15 mins....
I wiped it , so it doesn't install annything and its taking long..
IF you can get into bootloader and recovery you are not bricked.
Reinstall the ROM.

I have found with my experience that these issues are caused from the sdcard and how it is formatted and partitioned. You can backup your sdcard and reformat it and/or partition it if you want. reverendkjr has some good tutorials on youtube you can watch for help starting with this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvU1CptOe14&feature=related or go to his profile here and he has them listed I think
I agree, probably an sdcard issue. Do you have any partitions? Are they set up correctly, ie fat, then ext then swap? Try taking the card out and booting up. Does it work? If so, then would almost point directly to sdcard problem. Answer and try that and we'll go from there. Need more info.
I tried remove the sdcard then reboot but it still does not work

thanks dude, it worked
So i recently downgraded my evo shift from 2.3.3 to 2.2 and booted the cyanogenmod 7 rom to it. everything worked pretty well so i installed a bunch of root apps. I installed juice defender and as of yesterday the wifi and 3g havent been quite working to par. the wifi always has a weak signal and the 3g barley works. it mostly stays on 1x and if it happens to go to 3g it is a weak 3g signal. i have tried restarting my phone and would try a radio update but my bootloader for some reason doesnt even recognize any img files i put on the sd card (i used ruu to flash the downgrade). any help would be appriciated
Well first, get rid of juice defender.. Unless you never use your phone, your draining more battery. Also I've had experience with it causing an issue with my data. Second, the lack of signal tends to be something that happens on AOSP and the crappy sprint network. Uninstall juice defender, clean up your dalvik cache and see how things work. Also install the V8 kernel of kernel manager
Sent from my Shifty Speedy using the XDA Premium App
ok thanks i will uninstall juice defender. how to i clean my cashe though?
Edit: ok...so i updated to v8 and now my phone is stuck on the HTC logo........
edit x2: ok so restored using clockwork.... still having trouble though

Dalvik cache is cleared in recovery under advanced. As far as getting stuck on the HTC logo, try booting back into recovery, wipe dalvik and cache, then flash the kernel again. If it still won't boot then wipe Dalvik/cache and flash a different kernel.. Or reflash CM7 over what you already have.
To Boot into Recovery. Power down ( shut off ) the phone, hold the volume button down, and then press the power button. Let it do it's thing. Then with the volume button move the highlighted section till it's on Recovery. Press the power button. Again using the volume btton move the highlighted secion till it's on Clear Cache. Press the power button. Do the same thing again on the next menu. Let it do it's thing. When it says done the highlighted section should be on reboot. Press the power button and reboot.
EDIT: oh well to late.
ok i flashed the cm7 kernal and cleared the cashe. still nothing. my signal still goes in and out. data is still not working. could i need a radio update? i have android version 2.3.3 with baseband 1.07.00.1129

Did you do a FULL wipe when you first flashed the ROM? Wipe dalvik/cache/Data??
Also couldn't hurt to update your radio..

Format your SD card to fat32, that should help with the img not being recognized. Formatting clears your SD card so make a backup first.
Usually when you flash a fresh ROM it's best to wipe a few times to make sure everything is cleared out. Not sure if that is the issue her or not.

Hello,
I would like to say thanks for the people on this site that help people like me...
Ok...I am in so much trouble and I will severely get beaten by my dad when he gets home.. I really need this fixed or I am seriously going to run away from home.. I know this isn't your problem it is mine I just pray to god or who ever is listening to me I can fix this and I promise I will never, ever try to do anything to my electronics that shouldn't be done..
I was installing clock work mod and everything was working great.. then I wanted to do a back up.. so I clicked on create back up.. Well, it asked me what I wanted to name the back up file, before I click anything I looked and noticed my usb cable wasn't plugged in (thought it would have to be plugged in to make a back up.. so before I named the file what I wanted (my back up) I decided to plug the usb cable in..when I plugged it in everything frooze.. nothing would work.. so I unplugged it and now my phone only goes to the LG screen and doesn't go any further then that...
I'm in so much trouble and I'm not going to get sent to my room, I'm really gonna get beat bad, we just got this phone about 2 months ago and spent $540.00 on it...
My only option is to fix this phone or runaway... It is cold outside and I don't know where to go so I am terrified..
Please, anyone, please help me?
can you enter clockworkmod? You hold vol down and power button (power button until lg logo appears). If you can try to wipe data.If not look on development section, there's a guide how to unbrick your phone

Thanks sooo much!!! xoxoxoxoxo !!!!!!! I kiss your feet!!!!!!! Ok so I am kind of safe? I can fix it if I follow directions? it is possible to fix??
Ok so I did as you said and when I held the buttons down the logo came on and quickly disappeared..that's it.. if I just turn it on normal the logo stays on and that's it, it goes, no further....
Do you by any chance happen to have the link for the page I need?? I have until 6pm est time (5.5 hours) to fix this..
I'm worried and my hands are a bit shaky but I think I will be able to hold any buttons that need to be held..
Thanks again!!!

wipe nv dynamic partition

ok man.First of all tried this (found on another topic)
Try hard reset. But you will loose all you data!!! Before you do that, take your SD and SIM card out.
1. Turn the power off. If your LG Optimus 3D is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device
If it doesn't work try to install another rom for example king 3d which solved the problem I had some time ago
Ok.. I tried what you said John and it did not work.. Still stuck at the screen..
Dr.J
I am kind of lost of what you are saying... I download what you told me too...CWM I am assuming is the thing I get into when I hold the volume down and power button.. I did a Wipe Data....
Now where is the option to mount anything? I dont see a "mount....mount USB..so that is what stage I am at with you.. I downloaded what is needed, I wiped my phone and now what?? I don't see >mount>mount usb
Thanks for all the help

Also... I went to Kings site and I see thing there for Evo3d....Is that the same as my LG optimus 3D? could someone please give me a direct link of the file I have to download? I really dont want to mess this up anymore...
Plus...
I seen this for instructions.. do I just do as it says? I would put my sd card into my computer using my adaptor for small and big sd cards and put the file onto it? then put it back into my phone? and do as it says?
Installation Instructions:

2. Place Rom on Root of SD Card
3. Please perform Nandroid Backup
4. Wipe data/factory reset
5. Wipe cache partition
6. Wipe dalvik cache
7. Flash the Rom

Will it give me a option? also should I format my SD card first before I put anything on it so it is fresh and clean and then put the program on it???
sorry, didn't mean to double post
just use a micro sd adapter to connect your sd to pc.no need for format.Copy the zip you have downloaded (gave link on my previous post-king rom) and put the sd on your phone. Then enter on cwm(vol down +plus power buttons) and:
do a factory reset
install zip from sd card, find your zip (rom) and install it
look this video I made for cm7,it's the exact same process

Thanks for joining us hear at xda. I would get familiar with the search button on this site. It will come in handy.
Your not the first nor last to have their phone stuck in boot loop. We could all explain how to fix this problem. But you would have no idea what we are talking about if you don't do some research.
So start with searching "stuck in bootloop HTC inspire4g or HTC desire HD" and do some reading. Get familiar with the lingo and ask your questions on one of the 8 topic posts already covering this issue.

1)yes.
2)yes its volume down and power
3)we use it interchangeably
4) you'll see on top pvt ship off, though if it was rooted chances are he didn't put it back son.
So boot into hboot(power and volume down) select recovery. Once in recovery full wipe and reflash a rom.

Download a rom from the inspire4g android development forum to your computer. Hook up phone with micro USB to computer put downloaded file on sd card of your phone. (I personally use cyanogen7.1 dhd but there are tons in that section of the forum.)
Once you do that you will be able to upload the Rom in bootloader from your sd card.

To do a full factory wipe you can either chose factory wipe. Or choose wipe cache, then scroll down to advanced and chose to wipe delvic seperatly. Once wiped you can proceed to add new rom as I stated above.
Sent from Soundwave aboard Nemesis.
If you still have issues or need a full walkthough. Read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20382889. Just remember if you choose to use stock roms you should use the roms for the 4g not the dhd

But to do a full wipe u have to do factory reset AND wipe cache partition & dalvik cache. It's not an either/or deal.

Can you go into hboot by turning phone on hloding volume down and power button at same time if so see if at top it says s-off.
If yes and its s-off place this zip in root of sd card may need sd adapter to move zip to card go to hboot by powering up with volume down and power button method. Phone will recognize zip volume up for yes and let it do its thing. When done will ask to hit power button to reboot vloume up for yes. Done ATT rooted stock gingerbread rom and radio installed.
Then visit any rom page you want to try and follow their instructions on flashing rom.
PS: I dont mess with radios and kernels no matter what the rom recommends but thats just me.
