Mouse x/y axis is off.. - G Tablet General

So I have latest VEGAn tab ROM and applied the mouse fix but I noticed the X and Y axis is off.. if I move up and down the mouse moves left and right, and if i move left and right, it moves up and down.. anyone else notice this?

Sounds like you are in portrait when using the mouse.
I only use my mouse in landscape, sounds like it works correctly in landscape but not portrait.

Read the main post for VEGAN, this is listed as an issue and a fix is given as a choice.

Yeah, the one where you have to choose either accelerometer or mouse usage right? I've applied that mouse fix.. I'll try reapplying..

Keyboard Dock - Randomly Stops Working

Does anyone else that got their dock have random problems where the dock just stops working? I've had it happen a bunch this morning, right in the middle of using it and it stops responding. The tablet still works, mouse cursor is still there, just no response from the keyboard.
I'm rooted running the latest update, will probably revert to stock and see what happens.

There's already another thread going about this. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063853
The solution for now is to disable the trackpad by clicking the disable trackpad button on the keyboard. The keyboard works fine without the trackpad, but will randomly stop working when the trackpad is enabled. ASUS is already aware of the issue and is working on a solution.

[Q] Shortcut keys on dock stop working

After the last firmware update, I've noticed that occasionally, my shortcut keys on the top row of the keyboard dock will stop working. It seems to happen most often when the TF is sitting overnight and then in the morning when I try to adjust brightness or open the browser using the shortcuts, they won't respond. The rest of the keyboard operates normally, with the exception of the top row.
In order to get the top row working again, I have to reboot.
Has anyone else experienced this?
My shortcut keys have worked every time for mine on all 3 firmware versions up to .13

I never had this happen on .12, but this happens regularly with .13 for me.
This also happens to me on .13, the Audio and music keys still work but Wifi through Settings keys stop working until a reboot.

How about the touch pad?
Not to hijack this thread but lately I have experienced that my touch pad is not working after I close the transformer. A reboot rectifies the issue but it's annoying. Do you think this is a related problem?

Will your trackpad shortcut key turn the trackpad back on when this happens?

Nope but the on-screen display works; all special shortcut keys actually work. It's only the touch pad that won't cooperate. It seems to happen whenever the screen goes to sleep
I am surprised by this problem. I've been using the dock for weeks now without trouble. I installed PRIME 1.3 when it was released and never had trouble with anything. Is it possible that an app can cause this disruption?

One finger navigation with trackpad on the dock.

I'm not sure if this has been posted but I just discovered a way to use one finger to navigate with the trackpad on the dock. All you have to do is double tap twice on the trackpad, keeping your finger down on the second tap, and you are able to use just one finger.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA App
Wow nice ! thanks, made the scrolling much easier. (at least for me)
Nice find!

Lol, just found out by myself and wanted to make a thread on this. Guess I'm a little late
But it's really a nice addition in 3.2 and it prevents from accidentally pinch zooming also. Why the hell don't the manufacturers give changelogs with major updates?! Took me really ages now to find this nice feature...
P.S.: This also works for scrolling left and right on the homescreen.
still think that using the trackpad is now a truely horrid experience compared to < 3.2

I guess that depends. With 3.2 they made the trackpad scroll the same direction as the tablet screen does if you swipe with your fingers (swiping down the trackpad will swipe up the screen). If you used a notebook or netbook before you'll be confused, that's right. But if you only used smartphones and other touchscreen devices, this is more intuitive now because it has the same feel. I only used desktop pcs before the transformer and I always confused the trackpad's direction before the 3.2 update. Now I intuitively scroll into the right direction.
But I still agree with you. I think they should make some trackpad options with the next update I mean some settings like scroll direction, sensitivity, pinch zoom sensitivity or at least pinch zoom on/off. And for the trackpad buttons perhaps customizing right key (to open the apps settings for example).
i guess, the way i see it though is that if i want to use the trackpad in that way, i'd just use the screen! I want to use the trackpad in the same way as I'd use a mouse. The main times i wanted to use it is if there was a area on the screen that needed clicking and it was too hard to do with a finger.. i want the accuracy of a mouse pointer.
but I digress from the original post.
I used to like scrolling with two fingers, now thats pretty much impossible since it seems to want to pinch zoom all the time.
ho hum. i guess i'll just buy a mouse instead for these purposes (hopefully the mouse pointer wont be a big stupid circle, i think i read somewhere it all returns to normal with a usb mouse)

Ok, I see your point, it also scrolls into the opposite direction as a scroll wheel would. That really could confuse a lot of people.
Yeah two finger scrolling really sucks now. Thats why I want some trackpad settings. It helps a little if you pull your fingers really close to each other. It's not perfect, but it prevents the screen from zooming all the time.
And yes, the pointer should return to normal with a usb mouse. I don't think the circle style is a totally bad idea, though. but it is much too big. If they'd reduce the size to at least half of the current size, it could be a good pointer for use with trackpad.

[Q] keyboard problem

I have noticed that when using the dock keyboard to input text, the cursor will at times (actually, quite frequently) jump to a different location and continue to input text.
It's as if during the typing, the pointer clicked somewhere else to redirect the current cursor position.
Someone had a similar experience? Running latest ASUS upgrades...

I had the same problem until I noticed my one of my thumbs would contact the mouse pad. Now if I do any typing I disable the mouse pad using the key fourth from the top left hand side. Hope that helps.
Same here! The touch pad is very sensitive and I tend to turn it off as well.

OK, I will try this out - so far so good, but since it seemed tobe a "random" problem, I will do as you say and hope for the best!

Onscreen keyboard not moving

When I touch a text-field, the onscreen keyboard pops up, which is all fine and dandy, but the text-field doesn't move up and away so I can see what I'm typing. This problem is universal to all apps, so I know it's a system problem. Any ideas?
Either move the on-screen keyboard for input boxes near the bottom, or pin/dock it (which will re-size the app window and should bring the field into view or at least let you scroll to it)

Is there an easy way to mod the on screen keyboard on desktop mode so that it can be made smaller? The size it scales to when in portrait mode is more than big enough, pity it wouldn't stay that small on landscape, thanks.

This is for the desktop and not Metro? If so that's by design - unless you pin the keyboard it floats, and you move it out of the way...
