Hello
Not sure if I am in the right place. All new to me.
I still have my old xda stellar, I do not want to part with it, but I want to use TomTom6 or something better for Sat Nav, plus is there anything else I can do to bring it more up to date?
Many Thanks
Kind Regards
Jules
Welcome to forums
try to search here if your device has a section on XDA, if so head to proper section, otherwise perhaps another member can point you into the right direction.
Good luck,
Thank You. Yes I did have a look were you said, but it is a bit mind blowing to me? Tried to put android on, got it on my sd card, went in ran the cab file, went in to programs clicked on the winlinux, it installed, but would not run?
Maybe as I am a female, not much help comming my way?. I should just look for a place to download TomTom, from of a warez site. Maybe some would say get a new phone, but I like my xda stellar even though its old.
Thank you for all your help
Kind Regards
Julie

Hi,
i know this forum isn't about that kind of devices, but maybe somebody can help me anyway.
i bought that ipaq 6715b(probably a prototype) today and found out that this device isnt't a commercial version with support etc.
the thing is that it hangs on startup, so i can't use it all.
i would like to know if somebody can suggest me to write another firmware to it to make it working again. i tried to flash the 6515/6510 FW, but of course the update isn't accepted because of the wrong Modell-ID.
does somebody might have another idea what to do with it, or should i just put in the trash can?
i've attached some pictures in case somebody is interested in it...
Regards,
Melgar
Ipaq 6715 help.
You might try posting on this forum instead, there are some pretty good people there also just like on here, they might be able to help you.

thanks for info, i did't knew about this forum since i am pretty new to that stuff.
Hello,
I am new to this forum community. This is actually my first post ever.
I own the cingular 8125. I recently aquired a bluetooth stereo headset, hoping to utilize media options on the go. I bought the Southwing sa505, which seems to be a great product, except for the fact that it will not work with my phone. I have contacted Cingular/att, Southwing, and the HTC people. Everyone knows that I need the A2DP hack, but nobody can tell me where to get it.
I've done my own searching using the various engines, but all I can find are waves and waves of forums-no actual links to any type of file. If you guys can help me resolve my frustration in this matter, then I will become a financial contributor.
I am so tired of dead ends, please try to give me a response, whether you can help me or not.
Thank you for your time,
James Coyle

Welcome to the forum.
Usually people here tell n00bs with such questions to keep searching but since you offered us money...
Just kidding!
Seriously though:
Please read the first page of this thread. You will find a download link, full instructions and even screen shots. Though it is not specific for your device it is for very similar model (just no keyboard) and should work just fine for you. (As far as I know this is the only patch available).
In the future I recommend you post questions specific to your device in the Wizard subsection (that is what your phone is called here).
P.S.
This hack is a ripoff from another phone. No official solution exists which is why any of the companies you contacted couldn't help you.

Is it an HTC? If not, probably ain't gonna find much here.
If it is, go to the appropriate forum and look for the thread on flashing.
Ipaq isn't a HTC phone.. no helping you here at XDA I dont think
He means the HTC Sable, just go to the main forums and go all the way down.
One tip that you should take is instead of calling it by ipaq 69xx just call it HTC Sable so that everyone will know that it is made by HTC.
And also it docent seem there is an update or a ported rom
lol I looked all through the WIKI and couldnt find it for the life of me.
MOD - Please move to the appropriate forum.
Please look and use the search function before you purposely post in the incorrect forum.

Has anyine managed to do a ROM like the new HTC Touch PDA? Would this work on my XDA Exec? Or can someone help me put the iphone theme on my XDA.
Thanks
Come on, at least look on the same page before you ask questions. The same thin's being asked further down.
Basic answer is tough luck for now, nobody has made VGA versions of either.

Thanks alot bulldog.
AJ Im very new to this forum so please excuse me, if someone else has posted the same question. It would be nice if u were to keep you comments civil.
Oh I'm so sorry, I had no idea being new somewhere means you are unable to read the other questions posted on the very same page.
I'll bear this in mind from now on.
Thanks to enlightening me to this terrible affliction that must strike users with less than several days, or posts on their profile.
now now ladies, back to your corners.
Hello all,
I've been reading these forums for a while, as I have a Tilt, but this is my first time posting, so I don't know if this is in the right place. Please move it to the appropriate location if it isn't.
My girlfriend just got a Quickfire, and I was wondering if there is anyway to mod it. I know it's not a PDA phone like the HTC phones, but I assume there is some way to flash the rom or something. I know it's early on, so there's nothing really on this topic. But if someone could tell me if it's even possible, that'd be great. And if there is a way, but this site isn't the place to look for that info, please tell me another site I could look at.
I apologize again if this is in the wrong place, or if my questions are goofy/unclear. Thanks in advance.
what os does the quickfire run anyway?
Its more of a feature phone than a smartphone, so I think that you are pretty much out of luck. I also saw somewhere that they were recalled b/c of a big bug. I'm sure Google can find it. The article I saw was that at&t stores were taking them back and giving you a free samsung propel in exchange. Kinda cool of them to do that for you...
