Captivate Froyo upgrade to 2.2 wont boot - Captivate General

Just upgraded to Froyo 2.2 via Kies. On the reboot, it sits on the Galaxy S screen for quite a while. Eventually the screen goes black. Buttons at bottom light up and it vibrates every once in a while.
Suggestions?
thanks.

I got to the recovery menu and deleted all the user data and it worked. Nothing to see here.

Flash it with Odin

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S i9000 Logo/loading loop? :( help appreciated.

I flashed Bionix-v on my phone the other day, it is a vibrant rom, and I flashed it on my i9000M without knowing this. I liked bionix, but I wanted my old configuration instead, so I restored from my back up with Nandroid. It would work fine until I plug it into either a computer or an outlet, it would immediately power off and have a battery that appears for a split second, then a loading circle, preventing me from connecting to the computer to transfer any type of file. It would continue this cycle until I powered my phone back on again which would say "Vibrant" (I'm using the GT-i9000) then my usual Galaxy S logo. It resumed working.
I decided that I needed a NORMAL charging process so I followed the guides and used Odin to flash my phone back to stock firmware. Odin told me everything succeeded and a giant "PASS" was lit up in green at the top of the window. However my phone no longer had a battery flashing, it was instead just a loading circle that would flash without stop. I unplugged my phone, and was greeted by a "Galaxy S" logo that would flash instead. I have also tried Heimdall by following TubeShaped's : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11257871&postcount=154
And tried to flash a custom rom directly from Odin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940671
None of these methods have worked. If any of you have any idea of whats going on, I'd appreciate the help. My hunch is that by loading a custom Vibrant rom onto a GT-i9000, something went amiss, but have no idea what it could be.

[Q] Boot issue after OTA

Hi
I got an issue after receiving an OTA update for my Nexus S. It was an official update asking my if I would like to install it. I choose yes and the device booted. It began to install and suddenly the triangle with exclamation mark popped up.
Since then, the phone only boots up randomly. Mostly if stays at a logo saying "google" in middle of the screen. No more Nexus bootup color game.
Is there any way to get this phone back to stock without being an expert?
It is a Nexus S 9020
I9020XXKD1
Kernel 2.6.35.7-ge382d80 android [email protected] #1
GRJ22
It was stock rom 2.3.4 and rooted at the time of the update
Any help is appreciated.
Regards
Martin
I am in the same ship Martin. Updated it to the 2.3.6 from 2.3.4 when I got the OTA. It was working fine, then the screen just stopped responding. It gets stuck at the google colour game now, and the screen turns off after some time. However, if I plug in the usb power charger, the screen lights up again, and the colour game proceeds a bit, then the screen turns off again. if i pull out the usb charger then, the screen lights up again. its been crazy since morning.
im sure that if we reset it, we can get it to work. but in my case i have been unable to do that. can someone tell us how to format/reset our nexus S?
Think I got it sorted.
Running 2.3.6. now, rooted. No loss of data for whatever reason.
What I did.
First of all, in one of those moments were the device was up, i copied a stock 9020T rom 2.3.6 on the sdcard.
In recovery mode, SDcard was never available. While reading through endless threads I found a recovery rom image called 5023_green.img
I had nothing to loose, so i flashed it using fastboot. A started in recovery and I got full access to my SDcard. I updated from full stock rom 2.3.6 I loaded to the SDcard earlier. Since then, no more issues. Surprisingly here I would have expected loss of root and wipe of all data. But this did not happen. All data is there in its place.
Cheers
Martin

It's not a hardware issue though its a complete brick I just want to make sure other infuse owners don't get the same mistake and what steps can be taken to prevent it I am a noob when it comes to flashing especially this being my first samsung android but its the red cwm to the blue
it's not a brick.
brick is when you get nothing. absolutely nothing.
you've some sort of power looping...not brick.

Kies Firmware Update Screwed up my 6210

I plugged in my device and Kies said there was a firmware update. I let it go through it's paces and upon reboot, it just sits at a pulsating samsung logo.
I've tried reflashing a stock GB image using Odin. Even tried an ICS one. All of them result in the same pulsating samsung logo going nowhere.
What steps can I take from here?
Power + Vol Up
Select Wipe/Factory Reset
Cross your fingers...
Good Luck
I couldn't get recovery to come up before. But it did this time . Anyway, we're back in business. ICS is fantastic on this!
Hi people, I update my tab7+ 6210 to ICS everything was fine, but sometimes I got random reboots and today it suddenly turn off, I tried to turn on but nothing happens, so I plugged into charge but show no signs of life, I tried to enter stock recovery but accidentally enter download mode, Im screwed?, please I need some guidance. Thanks.

[Q] S2 won't turn on or boot to recovery

So I flashed the superlite CM10 rom yesterday and everything was running fine, except the phone would occasionally reboot. But this was happening when i had the older version of the same rom and it wasnt that big a deal. Today, it restarted and now it wont boot the OS, go into recovery, or anything. All it does is vibrate every few seconds. I get to the Samsung screen, then it goes black and keeps vibrating every few seconds. If i try to boot to TWRP, it gets to the TWRP boot screen, then the screen goes black and the same vibrating thing happens. Am i hard bricked or what? Thank in advance!
