I flashed Bionix-v on my phone the other day, it is a vibrant rom, and I flashed it on my i9000M without knowing this. I liked bionix, but I wanted my old configuration instead, so I restored from my back up with Nandroid. It would work fine until I plug it into either a computer or an outlet, it would immediately power off and have a battery that appears for a split second, then a loading circle, preventing me from connecting to the computer to transfer any type of file. It would continue this cycle until I powered my phone back on again which would say "Vibrant" (I'm using the GT-i9000) then my usual Galaxy S logo. It resumed working.
I decided that I needed a NORMAL charging process so I followed the guides and used Odin to flash my phone back to stock firmware. Odin told me everything succeeded and a giant "PASS" was lit up in green at the top of the window. However my phone no longer had a battery flashing, it was instead just a loading circle that would flash without stop. I unplugged my phone, and was greeted by a "Galaxy S" logo that would flash instead. I have also tried Heimdall by following TubeShaped's : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11257871&postcount=154
And tried to flash a custom rom directly from Odin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940671
None of these methods have worked. If any of you have any idea of whats going on, I'd appreciate the help. My hunch is that by loading a custom Vibrant rom onto a GT-i9000, something went amiss, but have no idea what it could be.

Hi guys, reasonable newbie here. My Galaxy S2 has stopped displaying anything after the initial logo. In fact it seems to turn the phone off as you can make repeated attempts to boot it within a few seconds.
I started by flashing an insecure sgs2 kernel from this site with odin, then used s2root.
I then played around with rom managed but found it wouldn't boot into clockworkmod (orange exclamation mark in a white triangle every time) I booted into it manually and started trying to flash cm7 which I had downloaded earlier.
I wiped the data etc and flashed the cm7 zip (plus the google apps zip). Rebooted and got into cm7 with everything seeming fine.
Next I thought I should probably flash back to the stock version of the insecure kernel. I rebooted the phone but got distracted and didn't start it up in download mode, I looked just in time to see the normal logo (with the yellow insecure triangle) and then nothing....just blank.
I tried rebooting afew times and nothing, even after yanking the battery. Then I tried getting back into clockworkmod to reflash cm7. Nope, same thing happens.
I can still get back into download mode but nothing I flash makes the slighest difference. Tried reflashing clockworkmod, insecure and stock kernels of various versions but I'm stuck.
This is almost a new phone and I can't believe I've already killed it I would be so grateful for any tips, I've included as much info as I can think of from the top of my head but I will do my best to answer anything you gurus might need.
Again, very grateful for any help...I don't want to have to explain to Orange how I've managed to brick this after 4 days
Ok after trying over and over again to get into recovery mode, it booted into the original (3e) recovery. I've just flash cwmod to it again and have just flash cm7.
After reading some posts about cyanogenmod sometimes not flashing correctly first time, I did it twice (and it did indeed take longer the second time) and twice for google apps.
Next I'll try to get back to the stock kernel. This is where it went wrong before but i'll cross my fingers.
Edit: Well, multiple reboots didn't cause a problem but flashing the stock kernel back does kill the handset again. I'm sure this stuff is all obvious to those with experience I guess I'll have to sit with an insecure kernel and the yellow triangle for the forseeable future. On a side note, s2root doesn't see the phone connected with cm7 (yes usb debugging was turned on). I'm hoping that it is pre-rooted but I haven't tested that yet.
hello,
I tried flashing an ICS ROM onto my Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket (i727 AT&T) using Odin.
It was stuck at recovery.img. I unplugged my phone after a while, and then it wouldn't turn on. I would hold the power button, and then the Samsung logo would appear for a second, screen would go black for a second or two, and then the Samsung logo would come on again for about a second. Then the screen goes black.
I got into recovery mode, and wiped my data 3 times. I also wiped the cache. Then I tried rebooting the system, but the phone wouldn't turn on.
I took out the battery several times, and even tried turning the phone on with a different battery, once again to no avail.
Now I'm trying to flash the ROM on again, but it's stuck at recovery.img again.
PLEASE HELP. How do I get my phone back to normal/successfully get the ICS ROM on it?
I'm a noob at this.

Install this rom and you should be able to boot
Breaking News: ICS for Skyrocket Leaks, We've Got The Link (AT&T)
XblackdemonX,
That's the exact ROM I tried to flash. It's stuck at recovery.img. I unplugged and my phone wont boot.
However, that link mentions Heimdall files, what are those?

Sorry everyone... I tried one more time (my 5th attempt!) and it worked this time! I have no idea what happened with the earlier attempts. Thanks
Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with a Rogers Skyrocket here and hope someone can help. It was running a custom ROM, but I was given the task of returning it to stock. I don't recall which ROM was on it, but it worked nicely. I should have just kept it that way!
Thanks to vincom's super helpful posts, I got the info & file(s) needed to get this thing back to stock. I installed Odin 1.85, and extracted
I727RUXLF3_I727RRWCLF3_I727RUXLF3_HOME.tar.md5
from the zip. I started by doing a wipe/factory reset (from inside the custom rom) first, and rebooted to see that it showed the initial setup screen. Then pulled battery and booted the phone into ODIN mode. I made sure to kill Kies completely before connecting the phone to my laptop (WinXP). Then launched Odin, hit the PDA button, loaded up the above file, left the check-boxes as they were, and flashed. It was successful, and rebooted the phone.
The rogers logo appears, and the samsung galaxy bootanimation comes up, and it continues to animate.... forever (for the record, I waited 20 minutes, more than enough time). I can pull the battery and try to boot again but it still stays on the bootanimation. I'm not sure what else to do? I can still get into stock recovery or Odin mode. Can anyone help? Thanks
Samsung Galaxy S5 G900A (AT&T)
Previously on a day off I became very bored, and decided to root my phone. After playing around with everything for a day i did not like it. So i just went into recovery mode and did factory rest on my phone. Now I used supersu and a basic root everything worked perfect after i rooted it. But once I tried to put the stock firmware back on my phone it started acting funny. With showing Unfortunately Context Service has stopped. It was so absurd my phone couldnt function properly. I tried flashing the stock firmware on there in hopes that it would fix my problem, but it only made my phone completely inoperable. I have been trying multiple ways to fix this using odin v3.09 and odin v 3.10.6. Here are some of the files I have tried to get my phone back to stock. (G900AUCU1ANCE_G900AATT1ANCE_G900AUCU1ANCE_HOME.tar.md5) I have tried downgrades. Odin seems to fail on every single one besides this set up (AP_G900AUCU1ANCE_964333_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5) (CP_G900AUCU1ANCE_964333_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5) (CSC_ATT_G900AATT1ANCE_964333_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5) Odin loads those three files onto my phone perfectly with in 3 minutes but after they are installed on my phone. When i power it up it gets through the first screen and only shows half of the samsung logo freezes and goes to a black screen with a blue light. I have been working at this problem for a little over a week a couple hours a night and i really can not seem to make any progess. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Still having troubles
Flashes firmware perfectly fine but still can not seem to get past the samsung logo loading super slow and then just cutting out and going to a black screen with a blue stationary light on top left of phone.
Still looking for advice

I had my phone just sitting on a wireless charger this morning and had been there for about 15-30 minutes. I noticed it was rebooting, odd I thought? I took it off and then realized it was going into a boot loop. I gave it a soft reset and then it would turn on and stay on for about 10 seconds before boot looping again. I again gave it a soft reset after a couple loops and now it seems to totally dead, as the title implies.
No button combination has worked and I've held them all down for well over 30 seconds each. I've tried plugging it into my PC and haven't gotten any response that way. The blue LED is on so I know it's not dead...I think? To make matters worse, I bought this phone off Craigslist about 5 months ago and it's the Exynos version so I definitely can't get any kind of warranty on it. I'm hoping someone has had this problem and can help or just has some advice. Thanks everyone.
EDIT: To keep this updated, I have been able to get into Odin Mode and have tried to flash stock firmware. Odin says everything went fine but the phone hangs up at the Samsung Galaxy S7 logo. I'm unable to boot into recovery mode and I've even tried to reinstall TWRP with Odin and that has not worked.
Seen the LED only problem before, waiting for the battery to drain and the phone to turn off seems to be the only known cure atm
Once it does, connect the charger for 15 mins, then boot directly into recovery and clear caches to try fix the bootloop, possible it may need factory resetting / clean flash of stock ROM
Using the MicroUSB > USB white adapter, you may be able to connect a power hungry USB peripheral to the phone to drain the battery faster, I use a USB desktop fan, but some people report it not working when it is stuck in this LED loop and have just had to wait it out
Thanks for that advice, I'll let it drain over night. However, I have been able to get it to boot into Odin Mode and Odin v.3 recognized it. I flashed the stock firmware but upon rebooting nothing happened and now it gets stuck at the Samsung logo screen. I can still get it back into Odin mode, which I believe will be the fastest way to kill the battery, but I find it odd that I can get into that but not recovery? I am rooted and have TWRP installed, if that matters at all.
If you can get into Download (ODIN) mode, then letting the battery drain probably won't help, that only seems to help when the phone is completely stuck with nothing but the LED working
Make sure you flash CSC (Not HOME_CSC) along with the other 3 sections of the ROM, using ODIN 3.12.3, that should factory reset the phone after the flash
If you successfully flashed stock with ODIN already, you are no longer rooted and do not have TWRP installed, flashing stock with ODIN replaces all that with stock
I updated Odin and once again tried to flash the 4 parts, making sure I used the right CSC file, but I'm still getting hung up at the Samsung Galaxy S7 logo. Do you have a suggestion as to which region's firmware I should use? I have been trying the Australia one from SamMobile's site.
EDIT: And to clarify, I have the G930FD(the duos one).

Any region would work, and the F firmware works for the FD too
