So I recently did a backup with titanium backup, moved it to the desktop and i did a factory reset on my phone. After downloading titanium backup again and moving the backup back onto my phone and into the folder I opened up titanium the backup files werent being shown in the app. What am I doing wrong guys?
Scratch that I got it to work with a reinstall of the program.
Word. I'm glad it works that way, had a similar situation earlier
the latest versions support dropbox.
I move it all up there, and then pull it back after a reset.

I backed up all of my app's + system data using Titanium and i copied the TitaniumBackup folder to my computer, for safe keeping. Which i am glad i did, i dropped my phone and now i have a new phone and i would like to reinstall everything....is this possible? if so how? I have titanium reinstalled, and i thought i could just copy over the new backup folder...but it isnt working
EDIT:
I just needed to restart the phone. Copying the backup folder over the new one worked.
Hello Everyone,
I have a question about Titanium Backup. I run backups for all my apps (without data) and when I run a factory reset I have to reinstall everything. I understand this because that erases everything including Titanium Backup from my phone. My question is am I doing something wrong and is there a way to recover your apps with Titanium Backup after a Restore or Reset of your phone? Because once I reinstall TB after a reset none of my backups are there obv. But I have to go and re download everything from the market which is a pain in my behind Frankly. So in closing either TB should have some sort of cloud storage for there users where their apps are being backed up to OR they have something like this already and I am blind. I have looked several places but everywhere I go and it says this is possible they are just showing restoring apps with TB after a new rom is flashed...Not completely reset.
Thanks for any help that can be provided!!

I had the same question when I first started using TB. yes you do lose it when you factory reset, but go into the market and redownload it and the pro key if you have paid for it. and you can batch restore your apps an Data. I do it alot cause I'm always testing ROMS. Btw get the full version it has some nice features like batch install without having to click install for every app. makes restoring a breeze

The backups are stored on your SD card. As long as you aren't wiping that, they should still be there in the Titanium Backup folder.
TB does have Dropbox sync, at least in the pro version. Don't know why a factory rest would delete your backups though, does it also delete photos, etc?
Well all backups from TB are on the sd hence u need not worry !
Also just install TB from market and u will notice all of ur backups are ready to be restored !
consider shifting the TB app to the System intead of Data hence it can survive a factory reset !!
i have installed the all in the system !!
Thanks everyone for your replies, I just upgraded to the Pro Version. Thanks for all the help, yea I do the same thing I am always reflashing different roms to try out and I use Odin to go back to factory a lot too. So thats why I brought the question up. Thanks again!
Hi, a few hours ago i backed up everything on my phone with TB. The backup went fine (though slower than usual) and the folder that should have the backup contains everything it shoul.
Then I flashed my phone (I9100, westcrip ICS) and I couldn't restore any of the apps nor data (TB said that there's 0 to restore)
So after flashing back to the Rom I was using previously I hoped to get my data back but still TB is saying that I have nothing to restore even though I still have a folder with my TB backup.
Please help, kind of panicking
EDIT: Fixed it ^^" Had to move all the backup files into the folder that the app created (even though mine was labelled the exact same and I deleted the app-made one)
False alarm
in the future u don't have to move the apps, just change the storage location under settings. I was actually going to recommend this until I read ur edit. Glad u got it sorted
Also next time, remember to back up the ROM as well ;-)
Yes, back up the Rom. One of the best but least talked about feature is the ability to restore an App directly from a Nandroid Backup on the SD-Card.
Ok, so here's the deal. I just bought a GS3 coming from a Inspire 4G and I used Titanium Backup to back up all my .apks and their data. I installed Titanium Backup onto the S3 and moved the data from the external SD to the internal memory where the Titanium Backup folder was created for the S3. But the problem is the apps aren't showing up in Titanium Backup where I can reinstall them. Even if I install the app then open Titanium Backup to see if it recognizes the backup now that the app is on the phone I still get nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

DId you change the backup folder location under the settings?
ive don't it between phones of the same type..
just copy the folder with the backups onto another sd card and it just showed up in titanium backup..
I am running ViperXL and it was acting up a bit so I backed up my contacts using titanium backup and reinstalled the rom. I then tried to restore the backup and it will not restore. It claims it does but I have zero contacts in my phone. Because I value my time I really need to get the numbers and names out of the files that I have saved (the backups). Is there a way to view them that is understandable? I decompressed most of the files but it's just a jumbled mess.
Thanks for any help!
