[Q] Need help moving "Titanium Backup" backups to a separate phone - General Questions and Answers

Ok, so here's the deal. I just bought a GS3 coming from a Inspire 4G and I used Titanium Backup to back up all my .apks and their data. I installed Titanium Backup onto the S3 and moved the data from the external SD to the internal memory where the Titanium Backup folder was created for the S3. But the problem is the apps aren't showing up in Titanium Backup where I can reinstall them. Even if I install the app then open Titanium Backup to see if it recognizes the backup now that the app is on the phone I still get nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

[Q] Titanium Backup

Hey yall,
Months of installs and recoveries had left extra folders and tmp files so I finally decided to do a master reset on my Captivate. I did a forced redo of apps and data on Titanium Backup and sent it to my drop box.
I want to restore some pictures that were saved on the phone.
Does Titanium backup our picture files from their portion of the Internal SD card?
If so what file in the back up would it be?

Titanium Backup Restore Missing?

So I use to have an old HTC Tilt 2 that I could boot into Android, rooted on my SD Card. I used Titanium Backup then to backup all my apps and settings. I recently got an AT&T Atrix, rooted it, and trying to figure out how to restore those old apps/settings that were on my SD Card. Would save me a lot of time...BUT for whatever reason Titanium Backup isn't recognizing my old apps/settings, just the new settings/apps currently on my Atrix.
What do I need to do?
THANKS!
Make sure the titanium backup folder is on your rooted atrix with busybox. then in titanium backup | press menu -> batch -> resore missing apps with data
So basically I need to copy the "backup/apps" folders that are on my SD to my Atrix? Where would I paste them to? and would that include the settings to those apps as well?

[Q] Cant restore backed up apps with Titanium?

I used Titanium Pro to back up all the apps and bloatware on my G2X. When I try to restore any of the ones I have un-installed the restore option is not there. I think it may have something to do with the external - internal sd card. I also keep loosing the icons to some of my apps (the ones on sd) inside the folder on my home screen. How do I restore these apps that I have backed up??
Ps I have used titanium many times on my rooted cliq with no problems.
my backups are on the internal sd.i've restored a few times with no problem i haven't updated mine though. using an older apk. i've read people are having issues here and there with titanium. so i'm sticking with my old version.

IMHO Titanium Backup has always been great with user apks, but very lacking with system apks. I'm not sure if it's trying to actually "install" system apks or what, but I've never had any luck with it.
Anyway, you should be able to just push the apks back to your /system/app/ from one of the roms or backups you can find here.
Have you checked the path to the folder that your backups are in with TB?
There is an option to change it in settings. You may have to reboot after changing it.
gonna give that a shot. Thanks.
Having trouble with my Titanium Backup. I backed up all my user apps + data, wiped and installed a new ROM. After getting it back up w/ new ROM, market, install titanium (w/ pro key) and go to restore apps. None of my backups show up. Batch > "Restore missing apps with data", shows 0 apps. When I go Preferences > Backup folder location it shows the folder (mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup) with all my backups it in, even says "This folder contains 62 backups".
Any help on how to restore these would be greatly appreciated.

On the folder location screen choose detect and choose whole phone. It will search for the directory your backups are in. If that doesn't work then i'm guessing you may have formatted the location where your backups existed.
Try this..

What happens when you install CM7 is that the sdcard directory now points to your external sd card rather then the internal that comes with the phone.
the internal is now at /mnt/emmc
Get root explorer and you will see what I'm talking about.
Once you have root explorer just copy the titanium backup folder from /mnt/emmc to /sdcard and you should be able to restore all user apps with data... however DO NOT restore system data from stock to CM7... big headaches.
Hope this helps!

Titanium Backup Pro restore does nothing

Hey people.
I installed a new rom on my LG p500 which involved formatting the memory card. I then proceeded to re-install titanium backup and put my "TitaniumBackup" folder on the root of the sd card.
I then used the app to restore the missing apps + data, however going into contacs, sms etc there is nothing. Also no other apps are on my device that I had before.
Any clues as to whats happened?
Thanks

Titanium Backup - Nandroid Restore from SD

I had my Galaxy S7 crash on my recently (rebooted the phone and was told SystemUI wasn't responding, so the phone stayed at a black screen).
Shortly before the crash I did a Nandroid backup of the phone as I was thinking of doing an OS update. That Nandroid backup is stored on my SD card.
Anyways, I did a factory reset, and am now trying to restore all my data. I've installed Titanium Backup, and trying to use the 'Restore from Nandroid backup' feature. I've given TiB SD card access, but it still can't seem to see the TWRP folder on the SD Card. I'd move the backup to my internal memory, but there isn't enough free space. I can barely fit the Nandroid backup on the internal SD, but there will be no room for the restored data.
Does anyone have an idea of how I can get TiB to see this folder on the SD card, or otherwise restore the Nandroid data?

What exactly do you want to restore from the nandroid backup? All of it? Or just certain parts?
