[Q] Mobile forum help - General Questions and Answers

I love the ablility to download an app specific to the forum or the droid x forum. There is a motorcycle forum that i would love to get a mobile app for but i don't think it exists yet. Is there anyone that can design one for the site? Is is impossibly complex to design, the likes of which a semi computer savy guy could not complete?
Thanks for any imput.
The forum is called yamahafz1oa for anyone that is interested.

So no thoughts on the matter?

Tapatalk can be installed on most forums and the app isn't too expensive for users.

Motorola Droid forum on XDA

I sure love the XDA site and am sad to have to look elsewhere once I pick up my Droid today. Is there any chance of XDA getting a forum for it on here?
I know that it's normally a HTC only site, but the Sony Ericcson X1 has it's own forum. I assume that's not made by HTC?

Wrong. X1 is made by HTC, that is why it has a forum. No Non-HTC devices here.
Gotcha, thanks for clearing that up for me, even if it is a humongous bummer
Long Live XDA.
Understood the Droid is not an HTC device, so anyone know of an XDA-like forum for Droid users?
I really thought about waiting for an HTC device, but the only one on the horizon is the Dragon/Passion and still too little information is known on that.

WARNING
that site is an absolute zoo D;
noobs everywhere asking the most basic android questions
HOWEVER, they've already established a couple threads on rooting the droid.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4902566 also talking about this topic.
Like I said there, any mods have an opinion on the possibility of establishing a Droid forum?

What about a group of forums for the Eris (HTC Desire) which IS obviously made by HTC? Or should we keep posting in the Hero CDMA forums?

[Q] Trying to contact someone involved with developing the xda app

I submitted this question originally through the contact email link but never got a reply.
I also belong to an archery forum owned by a buddy of mine and I am interested in finding out if the devs of the xda app would consider building a forum app for us. The xda app couldn't be set up any better as fas as I am concerned and would really like to have something similar for the archery forum. We would be willing to pay if the price is reasonable.
Thanks for any help that can be offered.
Try tapatalk instead. Same layout as xda (in fact, xda is based off Tapatalk), but supports tons of forums. It's a paid app, but you can access multiple forums. I'm not sure how to go about getting a forum added, but I would contact those devs. I believe you have to code the forum to work with Tapa, not the other way around.

[Q] HTC Desire S Help!

Hi everybody, i'm new to all of the Android phones and rooting but i have experience in Jailbreaking iPhones so im not new to hacking phones.
I'm getting very confused about a lot of things to be honest, and wonderd if anyone could help me.
What is the point in rooting?
Do i need to take the "S" of my HTC Desire to be able to root it? If so how do i go about this?
Next, is how do i go about rooting my Desire S?
This is all confusing compared to the iPhone, any help/Tutorials will be very appreciated.
Sorry if this has already been posted or if anything similar has been posted.
Please check the forums for your device.
Welcome to XDA. My advice would be to read all the stickies in your devices forum. Android is a lot more complex then the IOS your used to. Root is giving it admin access.
The search plugin us a powerful tool. Do a Google search for Xda search plugin and you will fund it. Sorry am mobile or I would link you.

I'm an android user at heart. But I also own an ipad, and I was wondering if anyone on this forum could recommend a good forum similar to XDA for apple devices? Thanks for your help.

Apple customer service. I doubt there's a really good forums similar to XDA for iProducts. Main reason includes the inability to modify and customize a Apple product. So, if a Apple user has any problems, they call Apple Customer Service. U could search Google though.
Smack that thanks button If I helped!

Ultimate iPhone forum?

Hi guys.
I recently bought a iPhone 6, as popular as these phones are, I cannot find a forum that's active for them, the iPhone developers looks like it's been dead for ages.
Anyone know of a forum for these phones that's active?
I can't find one on xda either?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
iphone
why iphone is not included in here
I don't know why. I can't find one?

I think because iphone doesn't offer customization so it don't have this kind of forums.
In this forums most of the threads are for customizing you phone though I think xda should have some threads related to iphone where people can solve some issues and can discuss about iphone

There are a few reasons but one of the main reasons is that we've tried it before.
iPhone developers was created as a place for members to discuss iOS and to develop on the platform. As @aussiesausage mentioned, that site is barely used and that was the problem. The developer interest simply wasn't there so XDA cut all ties.
me too I can't really find any threads about iPhone..
