Good luck

anyone knows where can i download rmandroiddm.exe ?

I restored it using this tuto
If you have a device which is not recognizable by the PC:
You need a 32-bit Windows (I used WinXP VMware player image from my Win7 64-bit)
In my case connecting the device to the PC did not resulted in access to the memory, only the drive letters appeared, but could not be mounted.
At the same time, the RKandroid tool did not recognize the device at all.
So, we need to reflash the archos 7ht. For this we need to enter update mode - and here is the trick:
1. Shutdown the tablet (in my case - pin reset shutdowns it)
2. LOCK the sliding button (for me this was the tricky part to find out)
3. Connect the USB cable and the powercable.
4. The winXP should detect a new USB device. Make him happy - give him the rk28usb-new drivers to install.
5. Now the RKAndroidTool.exe should be able to detect the RKandroid USB device.
Ok, if you've got this far, now we need to re-flash it. For safety, let's do this with the default Archos 7HT update image (which can be downloaded from the Archos website)
I think that the RKAndroidTool.exe needs extracted files from update.img. For this, extract them using AFPTool.exe:
AFPTool.exe -unpack update.img .
(or use the extractupdate.bat)
Now, we can finish the reflashing:
6. Start RKAndroidTool.exe.
7. If the extracted files from update.img are placed in rockdev folder and in image subfolder, the RKAndroidTool.exe should find them automatically.
8. Execute. Make sure the device is plugged to AC, because the process takes some time. IF THE PROCESS STOPS UNEXPECTEDLY YOU GET A HIGH-TECH BRICK (or so everyone says, I didn't test it).
9. You should see the device responding and starting the update process. It will take some time, dont ruch it.
~20 seconds – copy firmware to device,
~30 seconds – device firmware installation,
~3-8 minutes - First boot
10. The Archos Tablet should ask you to recalibrate the screen, and load the OS.
That's it. Good luck!

[Q] Help Rooting Lg C660 Pro

hi,
tried all method for rooting but didnt get sucess my lg have gingerbird 2.3.4 i cant root it in any way always giving error are you root?
DONE FULL RESET ALSO BUT NO LUCK
FOLLOWED PROCEDURE AS WRITTEN HERE
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1222630
LET ME KNOW WEATHER 2.3.4 CAN B ROOTED OR NOT>
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
I rooted my LG-C660 by LG Esteem:
1.- You need to install the phone USB drivers (They are usually in the SD Card when they are new).
2.- If your pc has Windows 7, restart it, press f8 when starting and choose the "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" option. Your pc will load normally. (If you don't have windows 7 just skip this step).
3.- When the computer is ready, put the phone in USB depuration mode (Settings-> apps -> Development). Connect it to the USB port and be sure your computer recognize it well.
4.- Download LG Esteem. I can't post the URL but go to google and paste this "LG_Esteem_Root.zip mediafire" , you will find it in the first link.
5.- Unzip and run "Run.bat". The program will start. Just follow the on-screen instructions and after seconds it will be rebooted. After this, your phone it's going to be rooted and you will find the Superuser app.
Try it, hope it helps you.

Thanks a lot! :good:
It helped my friend's phone removing some stock apps that he never uses. The next step will be the solution to the lack of ram, but that will be another story. A new custom rom maybe...or a new phone.

[NEW ROOTING METHOD] Trekstor Surftab Ventos 8, 9.7 and Breeze 7

Instructions for the Surftab Breeze 7:
In this case it's really easy to get the tab rooted. It already has the su binary installed Get SuperSU from market and let it do the rest.
Instructions for the Surftab Ventos 8:
Big news!
I made it to make another rooting method without the use of any 3rd party software!
It's also not important which OS you are using.
Pre-requisites:
Get a Micro SD card! (up to 8GB as it seems that more than 8GB cannot be used to activate CWM)
Instructions:
1. Get my custom clockworkmod recovery zip from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995984
2. Unpack the zip file on the root of your micro SD card (there has to be a file named uImage_recovery now)
3. Download the attached signed_SU.zip file and put it either on your internal or external SD (do NOT unpack it)
4. Shutdown your Tab
5. Keep Volume- pressed and tap the power button (while still keeping the Volume- pressed) until you see the clockworkmod menu
6. Choose "install zip from sdcard"
7. Depending on the fact where you have the zip stored, select either the internal or external card
8. Select the zip and confirm its installation with "Yes"
9. After the script finished, hit reboot and check if you have SuperSU installed
This should be it
To do:
I'll make a new thread helping in installing the Playstore without having to root our ventos tablets.
After the tablet rebooted twice you should see SuperSU now as installed application. Now you just need a working play store apk and move it into the system partition (don't forget chmod to 644) to get the Play store running.
Instructions for the Surftab Ventos 9.7:
As I don't have anyone with a rooted 9.7 at the moment (to get a dump of the stock recovery), I can't make a working CWM to get the below signed_SU.zip flashed, sorry! Only the old rooting method listed below only works at the moment (if moborobo is in a good mood )...
As usual I don't take any responsibility for bricked devices (but I assume that the chances of bricking are nearly impossible)
If you have any questions, let me know!
Old Rooting method:
Code:
Hi,
I know, many of you don't know these tables at all. But as far as I know, these are only available in Germany at the moment.
Anyways, I think it is helpful for my German colleagues to know how to root these tablets as they don't need to search for hours and hours until finding a solution that is suitable (as I did :-/ ).
The Windows way:
Pre-requisites:
0. A Windows PC
1. Download Moborobo ([URL]http://www.moborobo.com/download/[/URL])
2. Install any Updates Moborobo needs to install
3. Download the latest release of bin4ry's universal rooting for most ICS and JB phones/tablets ([URL]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460[/URL])
Thanks to bin4ry by the way :)
4. Download my modded Runme.bat
Instructions:
1. Unpack the 7z Archive from point 3 into Moborobo's installation folder. The result should be that you have a new folder "stuff" and a runme.bat and runme.sh in the Moborobo folder
2. IMPORTANT: Unpack my modded runme.bat into the MoboRobo folder and delete the original batch file
3. Start Moborobo and ignore any exceptions which are thrown out (at least my Visual Studio nagged me all the time, and no, I wasn't willing to debug the application :p )
4. Connect the Tablet to the PC and wait until Moborobo says that it is connected
5. Then start the modded Runme.bat and follow the instructions (select the first option by the way, which says "Normal")
6. Watch the screen, you need to click on Restore on your tablet (without any passwords)
7. See the magic happen
The Linux way:
Here is the feedback of an owner of a Trekstor Ventos 9.7:
[QUOTE]
Hi,
[...]
I am using Linux (old Fedora 15), I used Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v15.zip without any modifications to root the device. I ran the unix shell script that is provided in the package and selected option 1 for rooting, just as you suggested. I did not really understand why you needed the mobo tool, Bin4ry's script seems to work out of the box.
After that I installed SuperUser with latest busybox, terminal app and a console version of openssh, all that also works just fine.
I did not try Google Play or any other market, I use the device without a Google account, so I actually removed the preinstalled AndroidPit market and got rid of everything that wanted to collect my personal data.
I hope some day I can post in the thread but right now I do not see anything else where I could participate to gather those annoying 10 posts.
Again, thanks for your initial walkthrough, it gave me the hints I needed.
Kind regards,
Jin

DOES the Play Store work on your device???
All other sources on the net say that the Play Store is not possible on the device...
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 7 mit Tapatalk 2
Yes,it works. but only if you root your tablet. Also it's important to move the playstore.apk into the system partition...DON'T INSTALL IT like a normal apk...
Then reboot and you're done..if you need help pm me..
Can confirm that this method is also working with the 7" Breeze. Moborobo was not able to recognize the device, but manual install of a ADB driver for the Breeze showing as non-working "Android" in the system settings device table enabled it to see it. From there rooting was indeed a "breeze" Play Store and USB devices on host working fine. Great job, thanks for sharing!

Oh this sounds good...I was searching for a method to manually install the adb driver for our tablets...can you share how you did this? it sucks having moborobo always running for a little adb work...
I had ADB installed previously with the latest Android SDK as fastboot was acting up on my Win 8-64bit. So the devices manager in settings was already showing a not properly installed Android USB device. I changed the USB connection on the Breeze to "MTP" , and in the computer device list chose to update the driver for this USB device manually - and then chose to search computer for drivers. Under Android USB devices I chose Android ADB Interace (Google ADB driver 7.0.0.1 previously installed with the SDK) - and was able to see the device as ST70104-1413fc082 with "adb devices" from the computer. Its funny, we both speak German, trying to explain in English... . Hope it helps.
Yes,indeed funny
Thank you for your explanations..if i get adb to work too i will update my guide
Thanks again
Edit: doesn't work unfortunately but i heard that on Linux it isn't a problem to get adb running properly...
didnt work for me
hi
I just saw this post and tries doing s instructed but:
1-couldnt get into recovery mode ! I tried the volume down button but it would boot the tab into safe mode
2-tried volume up button but it goes to a black download mode screen and restarts.
3-tried the other method through Moborobo but that didnt work either , it tells me it succeeded but there is no root.
by the way I have the 8" on Jellybean
I just want a way to make more space or install aps on my SD card
Has anyone successfully rooted a Trekstore Surftab Ventos 7.0 HD with some of the above mentioned methods? I've tried both bit without success....
The reason for me wanting to root is to get Tasker running on it. It depends on some google maps framework. The 7.0 HD has playstore and maps but i suppose something is missing and I have to root to get the missing files.
If anyone has some advice I'll be very glad. Cheers

[Q] How to format install and root BSNL Penta Tpad IS701c

Hi,
I own a Bsnl Penta Tpad IS701c Tablet which has the following specification:
1. 1 Ghz Cortex A8 Processor
2. 512 MB RAM
3. 4GB Rom
4. Expandable to 32GB via Micro SD Card
5. HDMI Port
6. One Mini USB and One Full USB 2.0 with Mic Facility
7. VGA Camera
I was trying to root this tablet since it was performing very poorly but wasn't able to do so, so I tried to downgrade it from ICS 4.0.3 to Gingerbread. Flash was successfull but now the tablet is stuck on the Andriod Welcome Screen and I am unable to use the touch screen. Also when I am trying to shutdown it doesnt allow me to do so and Hard Reset is also not working.
Need your assistance in resolving this problem.
Resolved: How to format install and root BSNL Penta Tpad IS701c
Hi Guys,
I previously was looking out for an answer regarding how to upgrade firmware and unlock root access for BSNL Penta Tpad IS701C tablet. After 3 sleepless nights I have been successfully able to do the same and here is how you can restore your broken tablet (if its the case).
Prerequisites:
1. BSNL Penta Tpad IS701c Tablet (at least 50% charged or put on charging and continue)
2. OTG cable
3. Windows XP Operating System (I used the same since I was unable to load the ADB drivers using Win7)
4. Downloaded driver pack from pantel website for your device (For my device, New IS701C 20121201)
Procedure:
1. First of all, Download the Driver Zip pack and unzip it anywhere on your desktop or laptop
2. Next open the unzipped driver pack and run MPTool.exe file.
3. Next step is the connect your OTG cable to your tablet and then your PC/Laptop (Make sure that your tablet is in OFF Condition)
4. Now, insert a pin in the reset hole of tablet and press the Power Button for 5 secs (your tablet will start in Debug Mode and you will find Andriod device pop up on your PC/Laptop by the drive name as Vrdu or something).
5. As soon as the device is connected respective Port name in above picture is highlighted in Green with status as 'Ready' ( Buckle up as your are all set to flash your device)
6. Next up, click on 'Erase' to flash your ROM (this is advised to avoid any boot failures due to some junk data in Rom if you choose to just Download the ROM without Erasing it first, as good as Format your Hard disk and then clean install your OS simple!!)
7. Once done, you will get a pop up message 'Download End' and in background you will see 'Erase Success'.
8. Click on 'Download End' button and then click on 'Download NAND' button. ( Download will start, please be patient while this happening since it will take some time to complete. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR TABLET TILL THEN.
9. Once the download process is completed, you will again see 'Download End' pop up and in background you can see 'Download Success'
10. Next up, to patch your device ID, enter your device number as received with warranty card and click on 'Save and Return' button.
11. Now click on Write Chip ID ( you will get success message as before)
Viola!!!! you have just completed flashing your ROM and installed Andriod ICS 4.0.3 with some prepackaged softs.
Test:
1. Unmount your Andriod Device from PC/Laptop
2. Remove OTG Cable
3. Press the Reset button once ( Device will be shutdown)
4. Press Power button for 5 secs and.........
CONGRATULATIONS....your device is up and running brand new Andriod ICS OS.
Note: The device is powered by VIMICRO VA7882F chipset just an FYI.
Happy Andrioding!!!!

Hi,
What OS are you using on your desktop or laptop? I used Windows XP to update flash my firmware coz its comparitively easy. if Win 7, there are problems as Penta tablet is not recognized by default so you need to specify Generic Andriod ADB drivers. Once the Andriod device is recognized Vdfu named drive is opened. and then you can run the VIMICRO tool in the firmware setup you downloaded. Then first erase the rom and install the new ROM. Its fairly easy process if you still have any issues let me know. Old firmware was without HDMI support while new is with HDMI support I flashed with new IS701c firmware.

Hi All,
Sorry for hacking this post. I bought one BSNL Penta 701c Model, and when I open camera it says "Internal card is empty"" . When I insert the SD card it is not mounted. And the tablet details are
Model Number : 701c
Android Ver: 4.0.3
kernal Ver : 3.0.8
Build Number : PENTA IS701C 20121012
I was trying to flash my device. But even after enabled USB debugging the device is running in to debug mode.
I tried this unlock tool mentioned in thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969766) and it says device not found.
Any help ?
Thanks

There are two versions of Penta IS701C hardware. Build nos 20120717 & 201209xx are considered old and there is a new version 201212xx.
This is amazingly lame on the part of Pantel Tech. They should have changed the model no to atleast IS710d or IS701E. Now when the
above 2 "old" versions hardware is flashed by "new" (angry birds space) rom/driver version, it causes trouble. TouchScreen problems
are the first headache as the tablet becomes unusable. (Try connecting a mouse on USB port. On my functioning tablet it works nicely).
Similar problems happen if "new" version hardware is flashed by "old" driver/rom version. I had recently emailed Penta tech support and they
cautioned me against updating my tablet with "new" angry birds space rom version.
One solution would be to download the "old" version of drivers from the Penta website and flash them.

VK Singh

Where do you find this MPTool.exe. If it comes along with driver download from Penta website, could you please zip it and
post it here in this forum. The driver package is huge and I don't want to download it just for one tool.
Actually I want to try to take the backup of the IS701C rom using MPTool. There are many versions of MPTool floating around
on the web for different kinds of devices like pendrives, phones, tablet etc. Right one should be used.
Taking a complete backup image of this tablet is proving to be challenge. It appears there is no recovery firmware compatible with it.
So softwares like ROM manager, ROM Toolbox, Titanium Backup, Online Nandroid all fail to make a complete image of the ROM.
While apps and there data can be backup by Helium backup, the system partitions remain out of reach. It is always good have a
complete backup in case something goes wrong in the future.

useful information indeed @MadMax, it worked for me, thanks
After RESET use button POWER+VOLUME- (volume minus) to get into debug mode.
All the above steps are working. just after using RESET button use HOME BUTTON+VOLUME DECREASE BUTTON to get into DEBUG MODE.
otherwise the tablet do not go into debug mode.
try it. its working well for me.
thank you for the post by MADMAX87.:highfive::good:

BSNL PENTA IS701C flash issue
madmax87 said:
Hi Guys,
I previously was looking out for an answer regarding how to upgrade firmware and unlock root access for BSNL Penta Tpad IS701C tablet.

Hi,
My BSNL PENTA IS701C was having issues in accessing the Internal & External SD card memory. Hence I have reflashed the tab with the firware from the Patel.in site (IS701C OLD 20120918) with the help of PC & external SD card. Now after flashing the firmware, the Touch Screen is not working (but the SD memory card is working fine). Mouse connection is working fine. I believe the firware version is wrong.
I tried reflashing the version NEW IS701C 20121201, but I couldn't so because the MP tool is not recognizng the device. I have inserted the pin in the reset hole and pressed the Rest and Power button simulatenously for 5 sec. The tab boots normally and the in MP tool the not device is selected and Erase/Download NAND buttons are not enabled. But I am able to access the SD cards from the PC. USB Debug is enabled. Kindly help me in fixing the issue.
Thanks in advance.
To Mr. Pallav.

[Q] Allegedly MK809II need help to unbrick

Hi everyone!
I bought this device as MK809II. Before I was not familiar with Android stick computers so I did little market research and bought this mini PC.
When I plugged it into my tv a black screen saying 'TV BOX' in white appeared, after that a round loading circle( like cyanogenmod ) with android inscription in the middle.
In the settings I paid attention only to the fact there was no mention about RK3066 but something about RK30SDK and the stick computer had about 500mb internal storage and 5,82gb NAND flash.
After installing some basic apps I went out of internal storage and found impossible to move from it to the NAND. I tried some different apps but all required ROOT rights.
I did my research and found a CWM upgrade which leв to crash my device after 30% of the upgrading process.
I downloaded:
- RkBatchTool
- Rom Flash Tool
- Android SDK
- PDANet
RKBatchTool and Rom Flash Tool after installing the images give me no errors and everything goes succesfully until i take of the device from the computer and try to connect it back... it doesn't appear nor on the PC nor on the tv(no signal).
When I put it in boot mode it's green in RKBatchTool and says 'found RKAndroid loader rock usb' in the Rom Flash Tool respectively.
Can't 'switch' or 'reboot to flash mode'(not msc device)
Also can't install properly PDAnet because it cannot find any device and is impossible to run adb shell for the same reason.
I have no clue what should be done for unbrick it! Please help me to find what device really is(I have some doubts after comparing it with pics on the web and system information in the settings) to find the proper guide, drivers and boot image.
Also i would like to know how can I turn it in a mass storage device for my PC.
Try "finless 1.5" rom for your mk908ii.
As for putting in flash try a different cable and use the micro usb port at the end not the side. Or vice versa.
My bad. Read mk908 not 809

[STOCK ROM][TOOL][ALCATEL] One touch tab 7 (T15)

Probably, if you are here then your alcatel touch is running with the Prestigio 7.0 multipad stock rom (PM3970), with no wireless and no accelerometer. Finally, I got my hands on the stock rom for the Alcatel one touch (T15). I would lay out the instructions that finally got this tab to work.
I stumbled upon it on an arabic forum called gsm-flash.com, tested it and thought of sharing it with you:
Download the AmLogic USB burning tool attached
Run the AmLogic app with administrative privileges
Power off your device
Connect the device using the USB cable
Press Power & Vol + until you see that your device is connected on Port 1 of the app
If all is good, goto step 10,if it didn’t then you need the drivers, proceed to step 8
Locate the Amlogic tool folder and then select the AmLogicUSBurningDrive folder
Select the win7 folder, locate the right installer and run it as admin
Go back to 3
In the Amlogic app, select File, then Import, locate the Alcatel-tab 7 archive you downloaded from below, pass it as it is, don’t UNZIP it
Optionally, you can pass the Serial number of the device if you want, and the CU reference in this case, T105-3AALEU1, I didn’t pass either of them, but the CU reference was added under the model number in the about tablet
Click Start
Wait for the process to complete
If successful proceed to step 15, otherwise, goto step 3 and repeat, which was what happened to me, I repeated it 3 times
Finally, the phone reboots with Alcatel One Touch logo, it will take some time
I was impatient, restarted it, and waited, then rebooted into recovery by using Power & Vol +, and made a factory reset
And Voila.Congrats on restoring your device
