I have spice mi 300 which is a z71 variant as much as I know..I installed the cyanogen 6.1 stable through the rom manager..during the steps I marked both backup current rom and wipe cache..but after the installation.I went into recovery mode to make a partition on my memory card..and the process formatted my card data..now I m not able to go to stock eclair mode because all the backups and data on my SD card were wiped.I tried the software updater tool by spice but now it does not detect my phone as it has turned to z71...I need to go back to stock because of having booting issues with cyanogen..plz if anyone could help me...sorry for such a long description as I could not express the problem properly with short explanation.....

Huawei M835 ROM Troubles

Okay so I kind of put myself in a messed up situation:
I installed Clockworkmod Recovery and ROM Manager so I could install the unofficial CM7 port, I tried to install the update.zip but it failed part way through due to "Error 7" So I tried to wipe my /system, and /cache & Dalvik Cache and battery stats. After that it still didn't work so I tried to do that sd-ext thing in the mounting section of clockworkmod (Or in the advanced section) it ruined my SD card, I could not format it on my PC. I tried this again with another card, that one is now ruined too. So basically now i'm stuck with a phone that will not boot past the boot logo, no cards to reinstall the stock firmware. And I DO NOT HAVE A USB CABLE TO MOUNT EITHER. Which wouldn't work anyway because my cards are ruined. Please help this my only device!!!!
Update:
I got the stock firmware and reinstalled it, so now I'm gonna start fresh and root it again and everything. If anyone can provide help with installing custom ROM's and/or tell me what I did wrong it would be much appreciated.
Version: Froyo 2.2
Phone: Huawei M835
Carrier: MetroPCS
Clockworkmod Recovery: 5.x for the Ideos (Supposed to work on the M835)

Sony Xperia J (ST26i) possibly bricked. Urgent help needed.

Hi,
I had been trying to fix the touchscreen calibration problem on my sister's Xperia J (TIM branded) by flashing another ROM/Firmware.
I flashed "st26i_11.2.A.0.31 Kernel By [email protected]_Central Europe.ftf" using flashtool by mistake before I installed Clockworkmod itself. I copied the Darkmoon AVD ROM (Ref : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2309415) to the external card . I booted into Clockworkmod and took a backup of the stock ROM, then as I checked to see if I could see the ROM in the "install zip from sdcard" option, I could not find it since it was reading the internal storage instead of the external sd card. Then I rebooted the phone to check if I could transfer the ROM to internal storage but now I am unable to boot up the phone and nothing happens. The screen remains blank (though the backlight is visible).
I need urgent help to fix this. Please help.
PS : Bootloader unlocked.
PPS : Probably wrong thread. Mods please move if needed

You got bootloop, simply there is no rom to boot, what is more kernels with CWM are from CM which is not compatible with stock rom. Try to flash 11.2.A.0.31.ftf clean using flashtool, there might be need to remove battery to avoid booting and again get bootloop.
P.S I did even worse thing when I starting to play with android (I've flashed kernel from Arc S)
I feel dumb. But I flashed the kernel.sin from http://www.4shared.com/folder/25Mb7Dws/Xperia_J.html and it booted normally.
i switch off my phone it takes longer time to switch off so i suddenly remove my battery and reinsert it and after i power on it so simply sony logo what can i do for that

[Q] Problem with Boot Animation (freeze-Brick) ZTE v967s

Hello everyone.
My phone is ZTE V967s with Etotalk rom
I didn't know anything about flashing, custom rom, unlockin etc, full novice. Everything started out when I wanted to change the boot animation of ZTE which was some Chinese writing and a very loud music. I downloaded from google play rom toolbox lite, and I changed the boot animation with something I picked up there. Nothing else.
My device was rooted so I thought the boot logo is ok but it wasnt. After resetting the device, the boot logo freezes it is stuck, although everything in the background is fine.
What I did to recover, (Read a lot in xda forum and learn about flashing, rom etc):
1. Boot to recovery mode. The device has some CWM in Chinese but I managed to translate (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2300622&page=9)
I did:
- (4) Wipe data / factory reset
- (5) Wipe Cache
- (6) Backup and restore (of course no back up recovery solution)
2. Tried removing the battery and restart phone
The phone has the same freezing boot animation.
I have not checked development options in my phone therefore when I plug my phone in the USB port I have nothing in my pc, cant see the mounted device drive or sd card.
What I think the solution may be is:
1. Find the Etotalk rom, or any other compatible rom like Max Flavour or MIUI rom and flash.
2. Since I can't copy to the device it would be possible to use side load to do this.
My questions are how ?
1. How to install the ROM with side load?
1.1 should I format everything before side load like
(7.7) Format /sdcard
(7.8) Format /system
(7.9) Format /cache
(7.10) Format /data
(7.11) Format /cust
(7.12) Format /external_sd
2. What do I need to install in the PC ? And how it is done through the PC?
3. Or is there any other fix rather than flashing a new rom? The device is working fine except the freezing boot animation?
I know I am a novice, and I know I messed my self with this thing but please help me, what are the steps I need to follow?
Thanks everyone that is reading this.

Flashing problem Can't mount /system

Hi guys, I had on my Jiake P6 (MTK 6582) default rom – 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and I flashed my phone couple times and I was wondering if I could flash my phone to Marshmallow (6.0). So I downloaded this Marshmallow
Code:
mtkroms.com/2016/02/marshmallow-cyanogenmod-13-for-mt6582.html
and tried to flash my phone in TWRP recovery. It failed, so I tried to flash back to 4.2.2 stock rom and it failed too.
So my situation now is that I can’t flash any rom, cause: “Can’t mount /system”. And my internal memory is very weird. Everything I do with it is being reseted. I connect my phone to PC and do format my phone internal sd card. After restarting my phone the internal memory resets and there are the same files I had there before the formating. After each restart of mobil the whole settings I’ve set puts back into factory format state. What should I do to have fully functional phone again, please??
I also tried to flash my phone with Flash tools in windows and nothing happens, then after googling the Can’t mount /system problem I’ve noticed that maybe I should use CWM recovery, so I tried to flash it with Flash tools and It gives me an error after download to phone is complete and there is stil TWRP recovery on my phone.

No SIM card detected after restoring TWRP backup on 4.4.2 KitKat Android

I created this thread just to help anyone with the same problem I had when restoring a TWRP backup on a ZTE Blade L3. The SIM Card was not detected at all!
The complete situation: I made a backup of a stock rom (4.4.2) with my stuff using TWRP (2.8.7.0) and when I restored it, the SIM card was not detected at all. In MTK Engineering Mode/CDS Information/ Phone x (or whatever number yours is) everthing was at null or unkown.
AND I FOUND A WAY TO SOLVE THIS!
Flash a ROM that detects the SIM card and enter the IMEI numbers. Then, go to TWRP, DON'T FORMAT ANYTHING and then restore the backup selecting the options to restore that you want (for example boot; nvram; system;... those ones). In my case, I restored all of them and I got it to work! I hope this helps! This because the phone memory needs to be installed and with android 4.4.2 kitkat the phone storage is not in the backup, only the system storage. I hope this helps the KitKat users and others (because I've never tested this in other versions)!
Cheers.
