hey guys
kindly make one windows phone 7 rom for fuze......
plzzzz
thanks in advance.
WP 7 will not work on Fuze!
whats the requirement....??
y it wont work......
atleast our seniour members are doing so much in developing...
so they can give a try atleast......
Damn, it has been repeated numerous time. WP7 kernel needs ARMv7 codepath and extensions, and you can't recompile a closed source kernel. MSM7200 belongs to ARMv6 family ; end of the story, end of the discussion.
exuce me you angry man wp7 is ported succefully to the leo and why cant it ported to the raphael i know the story of the ce kernel but if it is ported to leo and why cant it be ported
i know that there is a huge diffrence between cpu's
It can't be ported because no one has drivers or kernel modules that are WP7 compatible for the fuze (among a host of reasons). It's not going to happen. It works on the Leo because the HD7 has nearly identical hardware as the Leo. There are no WP7 devices out there that use the same hardware (now well outdated) that the fuze uses.
Closing this thread (crap, I'm not a mod here).
No way!
WP7 cannot be ported to TP due to hardware requirements. Wouldn't you think that if this generation of phones would have supported WP7, the HD2 for example would have been granted an update to WP7???
So if u want a WP7 phone, fetch a new one.

hi to all
just a q is there any chance to have windows phone 7 on the htc touch pro ? and thanks in advanced
As it looks right now, no. Microsofts official statement was that all current devices will have no Official Upgrade to Windows Phone 7, as the new OS is hardware dependant..
BUT, a team of devs managed to port Android onto our devices, so I wouldn't doubt that one day WP7 will be coming to our current devices.

NO! NO NO no!
because it doesn't reach the requirements for windows phone seven series
Moved as not ROM Development.
No the Raphael will not get Windows7 there is lots about requirements and why we won't on older devices in the Windows 7 Development & Hacking forums.
thanks for ur replay every one ... 2 bad 2 hear that wont fit our req. and stylez sorry bro if i posted in wrong place
in 2011 MS anonses that it will be windows emended based on wnimo7. something like winmo 6 on 7 kernel. this os maybe be comportable with raph.
cool thats good news .. we will wait guys hahaha .. thanks for ur replay everyone
I don't think the raph is fast enough for the constant animation on the docks and everything else that is on wp7, since supposedly it wasn't gonna be compatible with the hd2, I don't think it will be available for the raph, but you never know, we're running android on it, so there might be a slim chance.
why it is not possible to run wp7 in raph,i know it doesnt meet the minimum ram,cpu..etc. however, what if it have been cracked, and it just worked for it?
It's not so easy. Windows phone 7 is compiled for armv7 processors, such as the snapdragon. Since our processor only supports armv6 it just won't run the code. Without the source code for WP7, it's just not gonna happen. Android works because it's open source and wm 6.5 was ported as it's compiled to armv6 or armv5 can't remember so it works on our devices.
The "what if" for windows 7 phone is just out of our domain..
we can still be comforted by great UI features like WAD2 theme, hostv1 etc,

nope.
its not going to happen.
someone would have to re-write the whole os. then it wouldnt even be wp7. AND thats only if someone got the source. Which is another thing thats never going to happen.
Use a skin/theme, or get a new phone. Those are the only choices.
Sell your fuze and some other stuff you have on ebay, then buy a hd2/leo and you will have a chance at trying a fully featured WP7 and Android build.. That's your best chance if you dont' want to buy a WP7 phone in the future
already been asked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=806653
by big brother have hd7,i only liked its speed,i think hd2 is the same
hi guys,
I'd like to know if it possible because I've been using my Xperia x1 for about a year and i think it's time for a change but when I checked all the available phones I got confused a little.
it seems like Windows phone 7 looks great but in a review i saw somewhere it says that it lacks some important features such as:
No Bluetooth file transfers
No USB mass storage mode
No multitasking
No copy/paste
No Flash or Silverlight support in the web browser
No DivX/XviD video support
No internet tethering support
Swapping memory card requires hard reset; cards not readable by computer
and Android has great features but IMO I think WinMo gives more freedom in the terms of using or hacking
and as a WinMo 6.5 user I find it a great OS with all the features needed and if there some feature I want that is not already offered it's available here on XDA-Dev either as a .cab or cooked in a ROM
So the Main Question: if I buy a Sonyericsson (X10 maybe) or a HTC with a 1 GHz Processor will I be able to install any OS of them as a ROM???
Thanx in advance.
The only device capable of running WP7 is the hTC Leo and it has actually working Android and some working on Ubuntu and Maemo as well.
not any other device will be capable to do so
Thanx for reply
So the HD2/Leo is able to handle all 3 OSs
but i have more questions please
how is the HD2 up to date regarding the specs? like the RAM, ROM, and processor
can there be 2 OSs in the same time and to be able to switch between them?
and does android 2.2 froyo work 100% i mean with everything working??
thanx again

I'm intreagued, what about the duplo phone looks great to you?
The basic HD2 specs are up to date on paper (RAM, ROM, processor) and even beat some newer phones but dig deep and you'll see the latest version of the chips are better. Android 2.2 is running perfectly but WP7 is still work in progress.
It's more than a year old but still the best phone EVER.

Well, it's clear now that the HD2 is one of the best phones out there as it's capable of handling nearly the 3 OSs, Thanx for ur help
Any chance for Desire to use WP7 too?
I would be great if it is possible.
I wanna try WP7 too.
I post this here, as I can't post in development section.
Well, I downloaded the kernel sources for ChaCha in htcdev.com and I have some questions.
Why there is the source for drivers of hardware the ChaCha doesn't have?
Can the real hardware be guessed from the modules/drivers used in a kernel? Can we know that from the sources?
Can a different flavor of unix (maemo, tizen, webos, debian...) installed on ChaCha by compiling the right kernel? Will bootloader support that?
I come from a N900 where all this things were possible, up to the extents were open source drivers could be used. There is a site where up to the tiniest piece of hardware is identified with the N900.
If exists such a list of hardware of the ChaCha, maybe much better things could be done with the machine itself, even (maybe) 'port' things that other phones with the same or similar hardware does and ChaCha doesn't.
People that hacked the N900 (again) could get it to record videos up to 720p, wihch the N900 didn't support, and even run many games of the Palm Pre, that had almost the same hardware as N900.
Thanks all for reading this.

it would be highly unlikely for it to be ported to any windows phone 7 device as it runs a different software core then wp7. at the core of wp7.x is windows mobile and at the core of wp8 is windows so likely many of the drivers would not be compatible any more... and even if it could be it would likely suffer from very poor performance. and on top of it our device is not all that popular of a device ... so if I had to rate the likelihood of a port on a one to ten scale. One being not happening and Ten being it's practically written in stone - a 2 maybe a 3
sorry ... try one of the 7.8 roms if you want the look of 8 right now

Id actually give it a 5 or 6 it will be difficult but far from impossible, we have already seen wp8 running on the HD2 which has the same specs as the arrive, and other first generation WP7 phones, the first generation phones are fully capable of running wp8 as far as the hardware is concerned its more just a matter of compatibility with drivers and such.

has that rom reached stability?
HD2 has SD card slot and known configuration. You all are invited to HaRET WP7 testing. When finished, HTC7Pro hardware can be able to host much different operating systems.

Thank you very much. How can I take part in the HaRET WP7 testing? I would be glad if I could be of any assistance.
Kind regards,

I finished HaRET WP7 testing, becasuse it is danger, my HTC7Pro was destroyed by it. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1483377&page=41#post64252180
