I bought one of the Black Hard Rubberized Snap On Case Covers for my Intercept off ebay. It fits pretty good, but I would really like to find a Silicone Skin option for it.
Anybody have a lead on one?
I use a Body Glove case rather well.

I use a cobalt blue [my favorite color] hard rubberized 2 piece case that I copped for $10 at the mall. It seems to offer decent protection, but not what I really want. I have only dropped the phone once, on concrete, with the case on, and it protected my intercept from any damage, but now one corner of the backside of the case has a ding in it =/

I ordered mine two days ago. I'll let you know how it is.
Just got my case mate pop case for the wife's phone. All in all its a very nice rugged case. It is single piece of soft rubber and hard rubber. The hard purple rubber is like the speck case if you looked at that one at the att store. All buttons are covered, but the flap for the bottom connections is omitted unlike the otterbox commuter.
The case is just thick enough to cover the camera by about 1-2mm so you know the camera will be protected from setting it down, however will not protect the camera in a full drop.
The only thing I don't like about the case is the rubber black strips on both sides are not flush they are glued on top of the purple hard case.
Here are a few pictures of it.
we have them at my workplace ... they remind me of a knock-off Speck candy shell case ...
have one on my samsung focus .. and it does its job .. but not my personal prefrence for case.
Are the buttons as stiff as Candy Shell?

They are about in between the commuter(soft) and candyshell(hard). I hated the candy shell as to unlock the phone really took effort with the button. My Otterbox commuter takes a little effort, but not bad. The unlock button on her phone with this case the unlock button seems just about as responsive as if it was a naked phone. Home this helps.

it is no where near as stiff as the candy shell ...
I got mine a couple of days ago and I'm liking it so far. Its very sturdy so you wont have to worry about it for protection. As for the design, I love love it! Its edgy and sleek so i've been getting a lot of compliments. Overall its a nice case. I would rate it an 8 for protection (no screen cover) and a 10 for design.

just got my pop case today and im loving it. the phone buttons are really responsive through the pop cases rubber buttons. phone fits perfectly in the case. and looks great!
Small update: only a few days of using it, the rubber support is either peeling or accumulating dead skin cells. Definitely not making the phone look brand new. Im thinking of actually returning it. Too bad.

Just recently got the otterbox phone case for desire hd since they don't have one for inspire, its not as bulky and protective looking as the ones for iPhones and hate how the little rubber flap that covers the earpeice plugin and charger is loose.
Anyone have a good recommendation for a cover? I've already seen a shattered inspire screen and it scares me buddy told me he dropped it from like knee length to ground

I've got the Otterbox Commuter on mine and love it; if you want something with more protection, get the Otterbox Defender. And as far as the protective flap, I just sliced it off with a razor blade; just do it while the case is on and use the plastic as a guide.
Don't think they offer anything but the commuter case which is also what I have

I just bought a Speck case (at -- cough, cough, choke -- full retail at the AT&T store) but it is great! It feels soft enough to hold onto without it oozing out of my hand, but is actually pretty tough.
Like almost every case, it takes away from the sleekness of the naked phone but not so much so I feel I'm holding a brick. It also fits absolutely perfectly in every respect. I especially like the barely discernible lip all the way around the screen which should help protect the screen in case of a face-down fall.

The Desire HD Defender Case will work for the Inspire 4G despite what they say. You just have to modify/remove the clear plastic flash covering for the 2nd microphone. I have one for my Inspire and fits like a glove.
The eBay "wave" case. $4 shipped. Takes awhile to get it, its coming from China, but worth the wait.
I returned a $30 body glove and a seido (sp?, from best buy). This one was better. Covers the camera area, fits snug, and has that rough texture that makes it easy to get a good grip, down the sides where your palm and fingers contact the phone when holding it.
Seriously. Best four bucks I've ever spent.
There's a separate thread here talking about this case, don't have the link handy.

I have the Best Buy Platinum case which is nothing more than a rebranded Seido Innocase II. I LOVE IT! Comes with a belt clip as well. The best part is it makes the whole phone feel sturdier (if that's possible). Slips in and out of pocket easy as well. The lip on the front makes it possible to pull phone out of pocket (unless tight jeans) without accidentally answering or hanging up on the call. The back lines up with the outer most part of the camera lens, thus the phone is all one thickness. I think this makes it easier to hold. Just slap a full face screen protector on the front before putting on the case and you're good to go.

I'm using the Case-mate. Similar to otterbox with a inner rubber liner and outer hard shell. I like the texture of the hard outer shell as it makes it easier to grip phone but still slides into pocket.

I have the same case. I got it from seidio though. I agree with everything you said. It's very nice and will protect the phone.

They both seem good but which one provides the best protection for the Epic?
I believe the Otterbox does. But its way too thick and ugly. Id stick with the Active X case just because it already provides good protection, in a slimmer more stylish way.
I've seen several people says the Otterbox clips scratch the keyboard and need to be broken off. That's why the seideo cases have their clips at the top and bottom rather than the sides.
I have the Otterbox Commuter and it's pretty good.
It does add a little bit of bulk to the phone, but it is well protected.
And it certainly does NOT clip the slide-out keyboard or anything like that...everything on it fits like a glove. The top half (bezel) has one side that is chamfered to avoid any possible contact when sliding out the keyboard. Maybe someone else put that bezel on backwards, or they revised the Otterbox for the Epic.
Overall, I'm happy with it...and it came with a good screen protector as well.
My colleagues use the Innocase and it's a great product. It has saved their phones from breaking from being dropped (and in one case thrown) around and landing on marble floors.
I am not sure how great it is for repelling water. I'm assuming that the Otterbox would be better for that.
seido causes scratches also :-(

I just ordered a Seido case since the cheap one i bought at a mall kiosk clips' broke on the front protector. How bad are teh scratches?
I have the active X case the case clips for teh back of the phone clip onto the metallic looking part of the phone so I don't see where scratches would occur. The clips for the face protector is at the extreme top and bottom of the phone as well so I don't see any scratches on my phone.
I think Otterbox is the best protection but they seem too bulky and ugly to me.
Ugly wtf its a case....... and its not bulky its just a little husky
Sent From My Cyan Samurai
love my seido case. adds just the right amount of bulk to the phone.
I also like the belt holster for the Active X case. I usually carry my phone there rather than in my pocket. No way the Otterbox would fit comfortably in my pocket.
I have the Otterbox and my wife has the Innocase.
The Otterbox has given me no trouble while my wife's Innocase has broken 2 clips without having ever pulled it off.
Plus the Otterbox comes with a screen protector.
again. ugly wtf?
I have the otterbox and it doesn't scratch up keyboard. And it protects well from drops. And if its bulky or "husky" that just makes it a tight fit into your pocket and les likely to drop I with good grip. And on the terms of protecting your phone I suggest getting the flygrip as well if you text one handed often
going to get this phone in a few days (infuse FTW) lol
anyways looking for a case to prevent damage in case of drops, dont care about screen scratch protecting.
basically i dont want it to grip my pocket (super easy to slide in and out)
and as small as possible
thanks
Try one of platinums cases
Android kicks apples ass.. Infused 2.1.0
& like where i could buy it
Best Buy I believe.
Think there's even another thread reviewing it.
Get a tpu case. Definitely non pocket grabbing. Harder than silicone and softer than plastic. extremely flexible. Had it on mine for about 2 months. Dropped my phone from 5 feet and it was fine. You can get them from amazon. About 9 bucks.

I have the silicrylic case from incipio and it's awesome.
I switched from the big brick pop casemate to a TPU case so much thinner and I'm sure its still protective. I rarely drop my phones.

I have an extra brand new incipio sylcrillic case that is on sale in the marketplace if you want it. PM me =P
I have a Ballistic HC. I use it in two modes. If I want to use the belt holster, I leave the outer shock membrane on the phone. It makes it fit into the holster better, makes the phone grippier in your hand, and adds an extra impact-absorbing layer.
When I want to pocket the phone, I ditch the outer rubber layer, and the phone becomes both smaller and less grippy, so that it slides pretty easily in and out of a pocket. The outer layer is plastic with a little shock give and finger grip.
I'll note that I long ago DITCHED the absolutely HORRIBLE, and embarrassing (for Ballistic) screen protector ( you just rip it out along with the loop of adhesive water seal junk) and have replaced it with a "no bubble" silk-top screen protector from the AT&T store. Very nice. A little less water resistant, but, it's worth it.
+1 for the body glove case. It's cheap, available on amazon, and it works. The only problem is the volume keys are exposed but I don't plan on being violent with my phone so that isn't a big deal IMO
Another +1 for the Body Glove here.
I accidentally left my phone on top of my car once, and didn't realize it till a few seconds later while driving about 30 down the road. Got out and found the phone in the middle of the street, still in the body glove, not a scratch on it.
The Incipio Silicrylic Case is what I use. I'm able to slide my phone in and out of my pocket with ease each and every time. Thinnest Case I've seen as well.
Body Glove case works very well for me. Its a harder plastic, so it doesn't stick to things. The size of the phone is what hinders the removal from my pocket. Plus I have big hands. You know what they say about that.

id say get a ballistic case for it if you dont put it all together and stop after the hard case its not bad getting it out of a pocket and its totally covered
Hey guys,
Looking for a good holster case with a belt clip on the side. Not a leather pouch but an actual belt clip the phone slides into. The ones I see on amazon typically do not cover the phone completely. I'm not looking for a defender or anything like that. Just something that looks good and protects a little. Kind of like the platinum case at best buy, but I want it to cover the entire top and bottom of the phone. Don't want the edges exposed. Thanks!

Just get a seidio case. seidioonline.com
I have a platinum case on my gs4. It is a rebranded seidio surface case. Mine fell from 12 feet to concrete and hit on the corner of the case. Bounced several times after that. Not a scratch, crack or dent anywhere. Best 35 dollar case around if you ask me. Solid holster too. Phone only fits with screen in. So good protection holstered.

I've always had great luck with this holster, http://www.amazon.com/Maxboost-Hols...=1377216639&sr=8-1&keywords=galaxy+s4+holster .. But I don't like the actual phone case, so I usually just buy a TPU case off ebay for ~$5 and they fit most of the time. The holster itself is very sturdy, I've had one for every phone I've had.
